We are in the cycling industry for several reasons. First of all, we all enjoy riding. Second, we understand how healthy cycling can be for others and how good it is for our environment. We take pride in our top brands and large inventory, so the chances of finding your bike are very high. We carry Specialized, Trek, Orbea, Electra, Gary Fisher, MirraCo, and many more.

–Bicycle Repair–

Every repair is important to us. At Ride on Bikes we will give you a free estimate of how much a repair will cost before we start work and we will not change our estimate without contacting you first. We guarantee our repairs at Ride on Bikes. If you are not satisfied, please let our staff know and we will do our best to meet your needs.

Byron Thornton, our head mechanic has twenty+ years of bike shop repair experience. Zack Dees, our shop manager, is a Tech Master certified through Specialized. Our repair shop’s goal is to provide the fastest and best service in our region.

History

Established in 2003.

Ride on Bikes opened in April, 2003. We are a young bike shop and very passionate about cycling. We enjoy coming to work each day and it shows when you walk into our doors!

Best bike shop I have been around. They have a great vibe, good selection and the best bike mechanic in the region. They stand behind what they sell (had a cracked frame they got replaced) and are always super helpful. I have bought about 5 bikes from them and will continue to shop there in the future

Glad to have a juice bar downtown. The juices and smoothies are delicious!!! Unfortunately, not all of us downtown are loaded (financially, anyway) so this will have to be an occasional treat :(
I would give this 5 stars if it were reasonably priced, maybe with more traffic they will offer some more affordable options for daily consumption.

This was the only bike rental in Columbus and it was all we needed. We went to the shop Sunday and although it was supposed to be closed, the owner was doing some renovation to the shop and allowed us to rent for the day. We got two three gear bikes and helmets for around $ 25. The bikes looked brand new and the owner was friendly. We used the bikes around town and on the Riverwalk.

Very friendly, helpful, staff. Moderate prices for a local shop. Evening group rides are great, and good community involvement.
I have consistently maintained my bikes for 10+ years, including truing wheels, moved here without my tools so I had them true a pair of wheels, took a week and came back okay, not near perfect tho. The true didn’t last more than a month or two. Should have done it myself, wheels are completely off balance now. Would have been cheaper and more reliable to buy the tool and do it without a stand.
There may be better places out there, that get less business and are willing to spend the right amount of time and energy working on your bike

We rented 11 cruisers to view the historic area and trails! Brand new bikes, excellent service, great prices, free spring waters! Wish we had a bike shop as attentive and well stocked in Seattle! Would definitely purchase bikes and attire from here if I were local!

best bike shop in Columbus. only open from 10 – 6 mon-​sat, like most other places downtown, but they have a good selection for being as small as they are, and the staff know what they’re talking about.
Had my bike fixed there more than once, and they were fast, and when I buy the occasional accessory they’ll even put it on for you right there in the shop.
Wish they would carry cannondale stuff, but what they have is great. Highly recommend.

Located in the heart of Uptown Columbus in the old Spencer building. Bicycle rentals are available for $ 10.00 a day and you can rent a variety of nearly new bikes including some super cool Electra bikes when available. The people who work here are cyclists as well as mechanics and salesmen so they know what they are talking about. Street parking is located just in front of the store and the River Walk is located only a couple of blocks away. If you are looking for a group to ride with this is a great place to find one. As a former bicycle mechanic I can be picky about cycle shops but this one has a great vibe. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
