Great service with a friendly waitstaff. The food is great and comes in good portions. It is also really reasonably priced and has a very homey feel. This is what a mom and pop place should be like.

Paul’s was… an interesting experience. We’ll leave it at that. I have a story regarding a very Godfather experience from the patrons, but won’t go into detail. We stopped in for lunch… I was expecting the extravagant food seen in the pictures, but much to my dismay, they seem to save that experience for Catering only. I opted for the Patty melt, and it was just so-so. Other reviews are right about the food being forgettable… at least lunch anyways. Perhaps breakfast is where it’s at for this long-time Grandview establishment. The restaurant is a dated time capsule. It’s a strange thing. It feels like a dive bar, but minus the bar part. I don’t know if I’d frequent this place, or bother to give it another shot. perhaps for breakfast. Service wasn’t bad, and the ladies had some experience under their belts, but in all honesty— Just not a fan.

Worst dining experience of my life. We walked into the restaurant and were told we could pick one of 2 tables. We chose and sat down. Immediately our server began yelling at the woman who sat us asking why we were sitting there. He took our order and continue to bicker with the woman yelling across the room. He was a terrible server. Never refilled our drinks and did not check on us. When we were finished, we were informed that the card-reader was broken and we could only pay with cash. When we informed him that we did not have cash, he said we could leave a wallet behind and go find an atm. The woman offered to write our info down and charge the card when the machine was working again, to which our waiter shouted well how am i going to get my tip! He was very rude and is the reason we will never return(even though the food is good)

My Co workers and I go to Pauls every first weds of the month after our company meeting for breakfast. We are always greeted at the door by the VERY friendly staff. The place is always welcoming and cozy. The food is as good as you would get from home. Always hot, fast and delicious. The portions are just right. Almost to the point where you might not need lunch. The prices are right also. give them a try.

Hadn’t been on a long time, at oldest a decade, but went back least week for lunch and it was pretty darn good! The Italian burger was a nice change, not over done with«stuff», but just the right amount of provolone, mushrooms, beef. My lunch partners also enjoyed their meals. Very reasonable prices, friendly service. We’ll be back and I would definitely recommend Paul’s.

The food was pretty good. I also enjoyed the coffee. Staff was very friendly. It’s the type of place where the workers know all the regulars. I went around 8:30 and it wasn’t busy so I had a peaceful breakfast. For a diner, it’s not your typical prices. I paid $ 7.50 for one egg, bacon, and a pancake. They don’t offer breakfast combination plates. You purchase each thing separately. It was more expensive than a usual diner but still not expensive. I would come back

Everything was delicious, I was a little surprised, coming in from out of town. A local favorite and I know why, yummy!

They’ve had the same staff forEVER, their food is always on-point, I can bring my kids here, their pies are delicious, and their patio and restrooms are clean.

Hands down the BEST breakfast in the Columbus area! I’ve never been disappointed by the quality of the food or the service. Today I had a blue cheese and bacon burger and can say it was blue ribbon great. Folks need to support places like Paul’s which are being pushed out by McD and other chains. Visit Paul’s for great food at reasonable prices.

I write this review with a heavy heart. I finally got to the legendary Paul’s(Pantry) of Grandview fame for breakfast. My omelette was described as having: onions, peppers, black beans, salsa, American cheese, and I substituted breakfast sausage for chicken. What I got was a barely passable egg with no(zero) discernible onions or peppers or cheese. The black beans were old and cold from a can with a nasty texture. The sausage was strange, tasteless cubes that I suspect are bought frozen in 10 pound bags. The salsa was tasteless and also refrigerator cold. All the theoretically appropriate ingredients in the world do NOT combine into a quality dish if the individual ingredients are cheap and given no thought. Add a coffee and tomato juice(no potato comes with it) and tax and tip later, I had a very sad $ 15 breakfast. We will not be back. I am astounded how anyone can become so catatonic in restaurant management as to not realize how poor this place is.

Been eating here for years. Paul and his staff have been together for a king tune which says much about the owner. Excellent Belgian Waffles, omelettes, and homemade pie. Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We had great meals tonight from the NYE menu, perfect prime rib and filet and shrimp, and I had lobster bisque and Chilean Sea Bass, perfectly cooked with spaghetti squash, asparagus, and a squash fennel bread pudding. Elegant and friendly service from Paul’s future daughter-in-law Ariel! WOW! SEEPIXANDHAPPYNEWYEAR!

I love this place. Best omelets in town and don’t pass on the pie. It was recommended by the folks at Stauf’s coffee house. I was looking for breakfast and Stauf’s had no tables. Reasonable prices and fast service. I’ve never had a bad meal here and drive down from Worthington just for the pie. Yum!

I’ve been visiting Paul’s at lunch time for about 15 years. I’m a big fan of the tuna melt. It’s a little pricey but it’s never stopped me from going there and ordering it. I love the chips and pickle spear that comes along with the sandwich. The wait staff is pleasant and many of them have been there a very long time.

Service is great! Friendly staff. Hometown feel. I love the food. I have only gotten breakfast there, but it’s delicious. There was only one time that my food was messed up, but it was corrected right away! Good place to go Sunday morning!

My wife and I went here for dinner… which I don’t recommend. Everything I read about on Unilocal is how great the breakfast is. Well, the dinner isn’t much to write home about. They have a lot of Italian favorites, which aren’t that special. If I go back, I’m planning on going during breakfast hours.

What can I say, I’m a sucker for a small diner with a hometown feel! It’s such a crazy place though — you really never know what you are going to get service wise, but the food is always spot on. There are a lot of great ladies that work there, and I definitely prefer when I get them for service. We’ve had a few hiccups recently when waited on by the young man who was recently moved from the cash register(just seems like he really doesn’t care & doesn’t want to be there), but otherwise it’s always great. The food is delcious, and usually served very fast & hot! I typically will get a small chocolate chip pancake here as a treat… and it is just so damn delicious! I also love that they do «the callahan» — basically, take any omelette & put the ingredients over potatoes instead of eggs(I do suggest getting 1 – 2 over easy eggs on top though… trust me, you won’t be sad). It’s also very low priced! It’s actually like eating out in my hometown, which makes me feel warm & fuzzy. Oh — they also serve alcohol! So, if you have a hangover you can get a bloody(strong!!) mary or a mimosa! Not very many places offer that these days, so I do love that about them, too. It’s just like eating at home & having Grandma bring you french toast!

This is an old standby in Grandview which has employed the same waitresses for the past 20 years. They’re friendly and if you’re a regular they’ll know you. A friend has been going to brunch here for the past 40 years with his family after church and is treated like family. When I lived in Grandview this was the«go to» neighborhood place for good Italian food at reasonable prices. I was here recently for lunch. I got the burger and fries. Food was decent and affordable. Lunch crowd was mostly older folks and it wasn’t crowded. I’ll need to add this into my «sit down lunch» rotation.

Were you wondering where all the senior citizens of Columbus go for brunch? Second to Bob Evans, is Paul’s. I have passed by Paul’s countless times, and its nondescript building never caught my eye. Shamefully, I just discovered it, after moving to Cincinnati. Curses! Because truthfully, Paul’s has one of the most affordable, delicious brunches in Columbus. I was overwhelmed by the omelet section, but sensed a body of consent that the omelets were clutch. I must choose but one(but I wanted to choose 3)! The Louisiana Omelet, a three-egg omelet stuffed with spinach, sausage, and black beans, piqued my interest. It did not disappoint in the least! The sausage was sprightly and flavorful, and it definitely satisfied at least one of my daily servings of vegetables with all the spinach crammed inside. YUM. I’ve never had sausage in an omelet, and applaud the idea to mix two of the best breakfast foods into one. My beguiling boyfriend, Jay, ordered the green eggs and ham sandwich. I almost wanted to send my omelet back and order what he had. So much goodness between the two slices of toasted bread… eggs, vegetables, cheese, and I forget what protein. That sandwich could have easily held one’s appetite for an entire day. The perfect breakfast brunch food: indulgent, yet not excessive. The wait staff is just delightful. Anita was more than helpful, and if I didn’t know better, was striving for the«Employee of the Month» award. I have seen some reviewers who were dissatisfied with their service, but my beguiling boyfriend and I did not experience such sour service. We both agree that this is a perfect place to bring your family from out of town to brunch, what with its family-friendly culture. We were sat in less than two minutes on a busy Sunday morning at 11, after a game day. I guess all the old fogies came in and left promptly by 8AM. Bottom line: prompt service, delicious food. Can’t wait to return.

Not that great Went here for breakfast. It was so dark and retro inside I it was depressing. The food was nothing spectacular. Very forgetable experience.
