Let’s be honest. This is Panda. This isn’t gourmet. Don’t go into Panda thinking you’re going to get real Chinese food. That being said, if you can get past those barriers, I’m guessing you’re gonna like it. Everyone loves to knock on Panda for being Americanized Chinese; I’m not sure why. I’m fully aware that the orange chicken isn’t an authentic Asian dish, but I’ll be damned if it’s not beyond addictive. Beijing beef? You think that’s available across the ocean? Get real! But is it awesome? HELLYES! Over the years I’ve tried probably all of their offerings, but I keep coming back to a 2 entrée plate with orange chicken and beijing beef with the steamed veggies. Taking the veggies may seem like a knock on the chow mein; trust me it’s not. I was borderline addicted to the chow mein a few years ago and have simply switched over to the veggies in an attempt to be more healthy(at Panda Express, silly, I know!). Also, a plus… if you order a drink, it’s gonna be larger than you’d think. Seriously! A medium soda seems to be about 856 ounces. Amazing value and food!

I think everyone knows what they are getting when they come here. It may be super Americanized Chinese food, but it is still good! The prices are decent and the portions are good sized. I love the Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet Fire Chicken, and the Bejing Beef. Probably the biggest perk of getting Panda Express take out, is how fast you get it, with really no waiting. I have never had a bad experience with the service or staff. Also, I can’t help but think that some of their entrees have more flavor than some of the regular Chinese Take Out places I have been to. If you are in a pinch, give this Panda Express a try.

So, yes — it’s Panda Express. Don’t judge. I cannot get enough of the Sweetfire Chicken! Plus, look — everyone here is super friendly and excited to see me every time I go in. This is certainly American Chinese food — or as I like to say«Fast-Food Chinese Style» — but that doesn’t mean it’s not delicious! The location is easily accessible from 161 or Morse Road, the parking lot is big spacious, they have a drive-thru, the restuarant is always clean… and as I said, everyone is nice. What more do you want?

Gotta give Panda Express some love! Who cares if it’s Americanized Chinese food??? You know what you’re getting when you go to places like this and it’s delicious. Friendly, fast service. Get this every time I’m in Gahanna.

Food hot and fresh, cooked by wok. Very Americanized though, and the paw plate allows for skimpy portions. Good Orange chicken, it is the best!
