Saturday’s

I really lucked out this time! My hair gal had left this location about 10 months ago, and I had not gotten my hair cut that entire time out of fear! (5 inches of dead ends cut off!!)
Saturday’s doesn’t have the best high end reputation, but some of the stylists I have met sure have been worth a million bucks! And when those amazing stylists leave, I am worried for who may be appointed to my hair and resist going.
So when Jessica answered the phone on Saturday, and told me she just had just come to Saturday’s from a different Columbus chain (think $ 45 min for a trim) AND had an available appt. in 30 minutes, I was ecstatic.
Jessica was polite and respectful and had just the right amount of small talk. Thank GOODNESS I called that day and found her before her Saturday’s book of business is overflowing. Wonderful amazing hair cut and style, with just the right amount of layers and thinning my thick mess.
And with my $ 3 off coupon, I was able to walk out with a $ 24 bill that included an $ 8 tip. Very pleased

Don’t waste hundreds of dollars going to some fancy overpriced place! Go to Bekha at this Saturday’s on North Hamilton road! She is VERY professional & EXTREMELY talented at figuring out what your hair needs to look amazing!

This location doesn’t even deserve one star. Every time I go in there is some excuse as to why they can’t take my name and cut my hair within one hour. You would think a buisness like this would staff correctly for the amount of buisness they do. I’ll gladly pay double for my hair cut as done by a stylist because getting the runaround is just not okay. They shouldnt have the walk up sign in there window. Avoid unless you make an appointment.

I’ve had my hair cut at Saturday’s several times. Each time it has been by a different stylist and each time my hair has looked fabulous to fit my aditude. Having relaxed hair, I always make sure the stylist is comfortable with my hair texture. It has never been a problem at this location. Although, I have never had my hair washed or relaxed with a stylist I have been offered at each visit.
I was a little concerned at my last visit about the cleanliness. The stylist stations had scissors and trimmers that were full of hair. The floor was clean but tools that are laying around should be clean and prepared for the next customer! It kinda grossed me out to look at gray hair caked up on a trimmer. Blah!
Overall it’s a fun environment and the ladies are easy to chat with.

Usually a good place to go. I visited at 12:30 on a weekday & was greeted by the one & only stylist visible in the place. I was told it would be a 20 minute wait which was fine as she was cutting another girls hair. The hospitality was not great once it was my turn. Her ‘friend’ was blow drying her own hair and my own hair cut was done very hastily & frustratedly as she obviously wanted to get back to her girl talk & personal spa day with her friend. The girl was very fake & seemed almost offended I came in.

Concerning hair, I’m an unfortunate combination of cheap and unreasonably sensitive, so getting my haircut is always a traumatic event. If I walk out of a place after a haircut without wanting to A) burn it down or B) cry it’s a very good sign. If I plan to go back, we might be on to something…
I plan to go back to this Saturday’s. And I plan to ask for Chelsea.
The store itself was completely standard for a Saturday’s in every way – chairs and mirrors, scissors and trimmers, haircutters and customers. The prices are a bit more expensive than other budget semi-​salons, with men’s haircuts just under $ 20 before tip, but it’s a good price to pay for my (hairy-​based) sanity.
The magic here is the staff. I walked in and a friendly young woman greeted me, introduced herself as Chelsea, and took me back straight away. She had the haircut experience down pat! From the perfect amount of smalltalk, to the perfect guard to use on the clippers. I’m a fan.
Though my new best hair-​cutting friend, Chelsea, was amazing she wasn’t alone. Behind me there was an extremely patient lady giving a haircut to a very young boy – probably 2 or 3 – under the eyes of a watchful mother. Talk about nerve wracking! The hair cutter handled it with grace and skill, and both mom and son left happy.
There are a number of options for hair cuts in this area, but I think I found the winner!
