Established in 1996.

Preferred Living has been developing and managing rental communities in Columbus, Ohio and the surrounding area since 1996. Our properties also include suites in New Albany, Dublin, Upper Arlington, Worthington and Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

I would NOT sign a lease here. Way to expensive. There is not enough parking so you have to be home before 8pm to get a spot even close to your home. I’ve been here 5 months and have mold forming on all the window seals and water coming in the back door seal. This place is very cheap.

This Apartment complex is a JOKE! DO NOT live here. I wish I could give this place 0 stars.
1. Not enough parking. People are parked in the aisle ways because there is not enough spots. however, They let me neighbors take up 2 spots for each of their cars because they double park. They also allow trailers, hitches, and mini moving vans to just stay parked all the time. So some units can have 2 spots for their car and another 2 for their trailers But yet some residents have to park in the road where people need to drive to get out. Yeah that makes sense!
2. The units are poorly built. Most apartments are but these are bad. I can hear my neighbor peeing thats how thin they are.
3. The Employees who work here do nothing for you. Complain all you want. It won’t help they won’t do a darn thing. Nothing gets done.
4. The pool is a frat party on the weekends. I am young and lived here because I wanted to be around younger people. But this is like college spring break. Pool gets trashed, pong played in the pool. The music is extremely loud. I personally do not like rap music and that is what they play. I bring headphones to listen to my own music but they play theirs so loud that even with noise canceling headphones its still blaring rap music in my ears.
5. there is only one entrance. So when the big trucks park in the road you can’t get into or out of the complex your trapped. So when I had to get to work one day I couldn’t because the was a huge Semi parked in our driveway.
6. Utility bills are ridiculous. Im talking around $ 300. They use a company that has a F rating on the BBB and is notorious for being shady. Plus these apartments are poorly built so heat doesn’t stay in the apartment. I can hear the wind whipping right through my door and windows.
7. I can’t leave m windows open at night because their are people yelling, fighting, partying in the parking lot at 2 am.

Would not recommend signing a lease here — the apartments are poorly constructed and not worth the price. They should not be considered luxury apartments — this is marketing strategy only.
Pros: nice looking and clean. Maintenance is quick to respond to issues.
Cons:
–very cheaply built aparments. Windows are incredibly drafty, despite being insulated. With the heat turned up to 70 it is still chilly due to the large drafty windows
–the room farthest away from the furnace is impossible to heat. The rest of the apartment has to be in the 80s in order for that room to be liveable in the cold months
— the roof leaks into our apartment in two spots, so much so that it left a puddle in our closet during the last storm. They had roofers in to fix it but this speaks to the quality of construction
–thin walls/​floors, we can hear the downstairs neighbors music playing at night. We have spoken with her about it — she isn’t playing it too loud, its the construction that is the problem
–marketed as «luxury» but in my opinion lamintate countertops and the cheapest model stainless steal appliances don’t spell luxury. Not to mention the hollow doors that let every sound through
–the clubhouse that they do a good job of selling to you during a sales pitch closes before 7pm on weekends — not sure about weekdays. Not a selling point but something worth noting because they definitely will not advertise this to you themselves
