The past two times we have been to this location the service has been slow. Last time we went we received no rolls until we complained to the manager after asking the waitress and recieving none. By that time our food had arrived. The manager told us we had not received rolls because they ran out and the new batch needed time to proof and bake. That excuse was unacceptable because people who sat down well after us received rolls. So pretty much feel like we were forgotten about. Other than that the food was really wonderful though!

Tonight must have been rough for the O’Charleys team. Showed up with wife and kids, thirsty for anything. A little hustle at the front door produced a squabble between a couple of servers about where we would sit then told to follow. We get put in the back where the blinds were covered with dust and sunlight poured in on us. It was a bit warmer than the other smiling faces and we waited. Thirty minutes go by, no show on wait staff as they slide around the room like ghosts. On the way out a lady asked us how dinner was and you could tell it was a moment of terror as she realized we were family that just walked in. I stopped and explained politely that no one attended us and we couldn’t wait any longer. Needless to say, this experience may have ruined a good place to take the family. We may return but not anytime soon.

I came here with my husband and his best friend for dinner a few nights ago. It wasn’t too busy, we were seated almost immediately. It was our first time here and we wanted to try it out. When the hostess sat us down, we didn’t know that it would be the last time anyone would come to check on us. After looking through the menu, we decided what we wanted to order so we could tell our server what we wanted when they took the drink order. After 15 minutes and THREE servers walking by us with no acknowledgement that we were even there, we just left. Honestly, I don’t like writing negative reviews and hey, I understand some places having an off night, but this was our first impression and it was a bad one.

Not a seafood restaurant… but there definitely a fishy smell as soon as you walked in the door. also a bit slow with drinks orders and refills. no apple pie on free pie night.

Always have a great waiter/waitress. Food quality is above average. Menu is great; with a lot of interesting/fun options. … HOWEVER, the manager walks around spraying aerosol febreze type stuff and it’s just too much. And because it’s aerosol it’s probably getting in my food and definitely the glasses at the bar that he sprayed it right next to. It doesn’t seem like a big deal but he sprayed it obnoxiously. My wife got naceous from the amount of scent. DAVIDLYONS, if you are reading this, STOP with the aerosol bro!

Now folks, don’t be getting too excited over this stuff. First of all O’ Charley’s is a chain, in the mode of Applebee’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, TGIF and such. Some folks think there’s a big difference, but me? It’s all just greasy bar food. My partner and I came here because some bumbling hotel couldn’t figure out how to get some rooms ready. We came in about 4:45 and the place was two thirds empty. I mean they had tables all over the place, but we had to wait 20 minutes so they could get a table«ready for us». I mean WTF! So they seat us and took our order. Some breaded cheese triangles, I ordered a wedge salad and my partner ordered fish and shrimp. The jalapeño cheese triangles were OK, kind of like cheese whiz inside of a batter coating. My wedge salad was presented on a platter that was really to small for it so it was a sloppy to eat. My partner shared her fish and shrimps and it was good, it was just so darned greasy that I couldn’t wait to find someplace to wash my face and hands, sucker was so oily.
The fish and shrimp also came with grits and asparagus that were literally swimming in butter. There were also some dinner rolls that were so heavy in sugar, it was almost like eating a donut, with pats of butter on it. It wasn’t terrible but to be honest, I’d come here to drink, not to eat.

Went here last night with some friends. Best potato soup and yeast rolls I’ve ever had. I was a little bummed that they don’t offer any low calorie selections(which is why I just ordered soup), but the soup was so good, it made up for it. :)

I have been here one time and more likely than not I will not go back. This is typical bar food there is nothing great about it and nothing here sets it apart from any other bar food(examples being Fridays, Applebees, etc.). No great rating because no GREAT food. Just typical bar food. There is a bowling alley just down the block though.

Smelled really bad all throughout the restaurant. They brought us flat soda, a manager walked by and we asked for sweet tea instead, he never brought it, had to ask for it again, we had to wait a long time for our food, the food was alright.

The chicken fingers are always great. The service was awful and you pay a lot for a little food. Probably going to stay away for awhile.

Every time I visit the South, I make it a point to have at least one lunch at O’Charleys…the pecan crusted chicken salad is to die for and the service during out lunchtime visit was great. Great food! Great Price.

Came here with my brother after basic training at Fort Benning. Service was decent, however food was below average. Meatballs were far too salty, patty melt too greasy. Definitely would not go back to eat.

I LOVE coming here. The rolls are very soft and always served steaming hot. The drinks are good and reasonably priced, and I am very fond of the prime rib when it’s available. They also have brunch on the weekend. As noted by another reviewer, the service is good but I really do have to disagree about the food. I’ve never had mediocre food from this location and I’ve ordered from multiple sections of the menu. I happen to like the cedar-planked tilapia quite a bit. I think this place has gotten a bit of a bad rap, but I’m fond of it.

Went last night for the first(and probably last) time. We wanted to go to Cheddar’s but there was a 30-minute wait. So we went to O’Charley’s. First of all, one of our dining companions ordered a Sam Adams beer(during happy hour –½ off domestics), The server came back and said«um…that is an import so you can’t get if for ½ off». Uh, Sam Adams is made in Boston… last time I checked that was in the United States! Our service continued to be pretty awful. We finally got our food and the portions were small and the quality was unimpressive. My husband got ribs and he’s not a big eater but complained that it was NOT a half-rack. I ordered the philly cheesesteak sandwich and the«steak» tasted and had the texture of that weird chinese«beef» you get in beef lo-mein. Makes you wonder if ti’s really beef. Don’t plan on going back!

Location: Located in the north side of Columbus, about 2 blocks east of HWY22 on the south side of the street. Plenty of parking. Atmosphere/Ambiance: It has the appeal of your typical chain restaurant. Service: This is where they excelled; the hostess, waiter and food server were great. Went in with a large group and didn’t wait long before being seated. Waiter was very welcoming and friendly, made sure our drinks were full through out our stay. Another person in our party noticed we didn’t get charged the group gratuity, and was very accommodating when we asked for separate checks. Quality: Well this is where they fell short on. Had the Louisiana Catfish dinner with two sides(soap and broccoli) fresh rolls included. The Catfish seemed from frozen, not fresh. The soap was served lukewarm, and broccoli was over cooked. The portions were large and would have been very satisfied if it wasn’t for the quality. Cost: If the food were prepared well it would have been a bargain compared to what I would pay on the west coast. Summary: 2 Stars. It won’t kill you but you may be scratching your head afterwards.

Service was good drinks were good BUT the food is Meeeehhh. I ordered the catfish and it wasn’t what I expected at all. You could tell that it was frozen and pre-battered(not whole fillets). The broccoli was topped with lemon butter but NOSALT. It was buttery bland. The Cedar Plank Tilapia was HORRIBLE!!! It wasn’t seasoned. It had no flavor(except fishy taste) there was so salt-seasoning cooked into it. It tasted like they took a frozen fish fillet sprinkled it with lemon-butter and baked it. Then sprinkled some season on top. I left assuming that they usually cater to an elderly crowd that cant have ANY salt… Service was good(A) Drinks were good(A) Friied fish MEH(–C) Tilapia horrible!(F)
