This is the best fried chicken in town. The honey and vinegar drizzle on the chicken tastes great, but I recommend the sliders. What the hell; get both. You won’t be disappointed. As for sides, I don’t stray from the smashed potatoes and gravy.

After a year and a half in Columbus, I finally got around to trying Mya’s a few weeks ago. I’d heard great things about it, and as a lover of fried chicken, I was pretty excited to try it out. Thus far, I’ve tried the dark meat chicken, the sliders, the mac n cheese, and the smashed potatoes. All in all, I’m pretty pleased with the offerings. The crispiness of the skin is something to be marveled at and greatly appreciated. It’s also pretty well seasoned(though I do wish that they were able to get the seasoning to penetrate under the skin a bit more thoroughly). I always appreciate a good biscuit, and the biscuits at Mya’s are definitely some of my favorites. They compliment everything quite nicely. I can’t speak to the honey vinegar drizzle personally, but my husband enjoyed having that on his sliders quite a bit as well. I will mention that there can be a bit of a wait here if it’s busy, so you might want to dress warmly right now, since it’s December. But I do think it’s worth the wait.

Mya’s is OK. I used to eat there about once a week when they were parked at Pacemont and High. The chicken was always pretty good, though a bit inconsistent. Sides are deelish. I haven’t been to the new spot on N. Broadway and N. High because… well it’s located at the intersection of N. Broadway and N. High. Visiting by car is a huge pain. Take a bike or walk and pick up something for me because I’m not going to make it. I would eat there again if you were buying and flying!

My bi-weekly chicken place of choice. I happen to work very close to I could easily eat here every week but I like to space it out a bit. The chicken in any way(sliders, whole pieces) is just fantastic. I love the honey-vinager drizzle they offer as well. The sides also are damn good but I personally just stick to the chicken most times. I reccoomend this to all my friends near an far, if you are in town and Mya’s is open you have to try it at least once.

Great fried chicken. The main difference with Mya’s chicken is the honey flavor. I personally love salty things, so Hot Chicken Takeover wins for me, but Mya’s is still absolutely great. I remember the first time I got Mya’s was in the middle of winter, sitting in my car for my chicken to be ready for pickup. The wait was killer, but it was worth it. Crispy, fried goodness. If I had a bigger sweet tooth, this could very well have been a 5 star for me. Oh, and my only other criticism? It’s fairly far north of campus which means I can’t just casually stroll my way up there =O. Which I guess is good for my arteries…

First time trying this place service was great too bad the food was not. I had a ½ of bird so I could try all pieces and Mac and cheese also smashed potatoes and the food was just not worth the $ 16.

If you’re looking for the best fried chicken in Columbus, this is very much it. Mya’s does everything right. The meat is cooked well without being dry. The breading is crisp and not soggy, with that wonderful golden brown color. The thing that elevates the chicken? That honey-vinegar drizzle. It’s not a traditional addition, but I’ve come to welcome it every time. The drizzle is minimal. The liquid doesn’t pool atop the meat, and doesn’t touch the entire thing. What it does: it adds a contrasting touch of sweet-and-tangy to the already good baseline. The chicken(especially with drizzle) is the main reason to visit. Looking for more from a food truck? Mya’s shares some tasty sides, too. The smashed potatoes and mac & cheese fit the fried chicken style. The mac isn’t perfect(especially compared to Ray Ray’s down the road a bit), but is tasty enough for a try. The best of the sides is the biscuit that comes with the white– or dark-meat meals. Mya’s is well worth the visit, especially if you’re in Clintonville or near OSU. Its return to the North High Street scene was long awaited, and has been delicious in the new location.

I don’t get it. Wtf do people in Columbus know about fried chicken that I keep hearing these rave revues? I’ve been twice. It’s soggy, it’s sweet tasting(disgusting) and the sides like the mac and cheese are starchy and gummy. This is Midwestern fried chicken. No southerner I know of would come twice. I vote nasty.

Mya’s offers great fried chicken. It’s even more impressive that they serve such a high quality product from a food truck. While Hot Chicken Takeover certainly wears the Columbus’ fried chicken crown, Mya’s fried chicken is no joke. The thick crispy exterior and juicy interior of Mya’s fried chicken are marvelous. As opposed to heat at HCT, Mya’s pleases the palate through sweetness. Their herbed honey drizzle is delicious especially when combined with the slightly salty seasoned skin. If you don’t feel like using your hands, the chicken sliders are a solid choice. They are composed of succulent pieces of boneless chicken served in homemade biscuits. I definitely would visit Mya’s more often, but it’s just a little out of the way for me in Clintonville. Luckily I get my haircuts in the same building, so I try to go at least once a month.

Heavenly! I saw the review of this food truck in last week’s Columbus Dispatch, shared it with my kids, and we all planned ahead to come here today and check it out. Between the three of us we ordered two 2-piece whites(biscuit comes with), a fried chicken biscuit slider, smashed potatoes with pan gravy, slow cooked green beans with bacon and onion, and baked mac & cheese with biscuit crumbs. Our bill was $ 35. For the amount of food and the delicious quality that is very reasonable. The honey vinegar drizzle over the chicken really is a crowning touch. The smashed potatoes, Mac & cheese, and green beans are delicious comfort food. And my daughter wants to get the recipe for the biscuits lol. My son declared this place«better than Roosters». A high compliment coming from him! Looking forward to coming back!

In Buttermilk We Trust should be Mya’s motto. Right now they are parked at the southeast corner of North Broadway and High Street — easy to get to, park and enjoy. We finally(FINALLY) got to try their chicken and were not disappointed. Crispy outside, tender inside, and that vinegary drizzle — delicious combination of flavors. We ordered a whole bird, with biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans. The biscuits were buttermilk-soft, and the real mashed potatoes and gravy were a hit. The green beans were decent, but we’ll try the cole slaw next time. Because there will definitely be a next time.

Ah, the best fried chicken in Columbus. I’ve been waiting a long time for them to reopen and have that honey vinaigrette on my chicken again. Mmm so tasty. This time I decided to get the sliders. They are awesome! Nice thin boneless chicken with plenty of crispy fried stuff all around. They can be eaten with a fork and knife and therefore are far less messy. I would eat here again. Oh and I really like the cool new boxes they are using. They fold and aren’t that annoying Styrofoam.

Since Mya’s has reopened, we wanted to give this local food truck another chance. I’m so glad we did! The chicken was so moist(I hate that word) and the skin was well flavored. We split a half bird between two people and it was plenty of chicken. The mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious but a little heavy for the warm day. Of course I would order them again. We also got a side of creamy coleslaw. It was a little too creamy. I love coleslaw but I would have preferred it a little tangier. Mya’s has greatly improved this time around and I’m so happy it’s a part of Clintonville! The only thing that would make it perfect would be to add an outdoor seating area.

Mya’s started my love for fried chicken in the Columbus food scene. After a mini chicken hiatus I was excited to hear about them reopening and was quick to check them out. A few things have changed about Mya’s since they reopened like their location, but they still dish out some quality bird with amazing biscuits and great sides. Ill always be a fan of HCT and have recently dabbled with BonChon which is also amazing but ill always have a special spot in my heart for Mya’s cause you never forget your first love.

So so so glad that Mya’s Fried Chicken is back! I’ve ordered the sliders and regular chicken meals. I LOVE the sliders. Crispy, boneless chicken on homemade biscuits with a drizzle of herbed honey. The salty/sweet combo is perfected with these sliders. The biscuits are buttery and delicious. Although I prefer the sliders, the regular chicken is also great. The chicken is well-seasoned, crispy on the outside and covered in a honey/vinegar sauce(only if you request it.) All the sides are made from scratch. I’ve eaten the mashed potatoes and creamy coleslaw. Both were fantastic. The coleslaw wasn’t overly sweet or drenched in dressing. The mashed potatoes were a little chunky and topped with gravy. I can’t ever decide between sides so I usually end up getting a small order of two different items. Right now they are only open a few nights a week during dinner while they get back on their feet. Make sure to check their FB page for updates on changing hours/days.

Mya’s is a very solid four stars. The chicken is cooked perfectly, the sauce is great, and the price is right. Also, Hot Chicken Takeover has ruined regular fried chicken for me(regular fried chicken just doesn’t do it for me, I need to eat it with a challenge), otherwise Mya’s might be close to five star worthy. Half bird + two biscuits + small side of coleslaw = $ 13 for two. Perfect cheap lunch date :)

Finally went back to Mya’s, and I’m so glad! I’ve come to the same conclusion that other reviewers have: that chicken? To die for. Those sides? Meh. I can take ‘em or leave ‘em. This time, I left ‘em. I got the 2 piece dark with a biscuit and my boyfriend got the sliders. Both of us were totally enamored. That honey vinegar sauce is amazing. The chicken was piping hot, and just the right level of crispy. Our lunch was under $ 15 and we were amazed with how good it all was! I found myself almost literally licking my chicken — embarrassing? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. I’m so sad they’re only open Fri, Sat, and Sun! We’ll definitely make it back soon!

OMG this Filipino fried chicken is HELLA good. A true hidden gem in Columbus. I’ve heard much of Mya’s from my coworkers at OSU. I first had a taste of Ohio fried chicken when I had Cane’s, but this food truck definitely tops that not-so-sober experience. For $ 6, you can have two pieces of fried dark meat chicken, drizzled with their honey glaze that just makes this heavenly delicious. The batter was not heavy and felt like it was made for that chicken. You also get a large, fluffy biscuit that really compliments the meat. Service was fast, quick and easy. The truck was hidden away behind a convenience store so be on the lookout. Since I was loving the weather during the day, I actually made the 40 minute walking trek from Buckeye campus to get lunch here, and it was so worth it. I definitely will try to come back to try the home style sides I keep reading about. GONOW! You won’t be disappointed.
