Whoa! I took two steps into this place and was overcome with the stench of the filthy entryway rugs — throw those things out! I couldn’t bear the thought of waiting for carry out in this place, much less sitting down for a meal! We’re regular BE patrons at various other locations, but this one literally ‘stinks’!

I often forget about this location but managed to go here twice in the past month. The wait for seating hasn’t been long. On the first visit I got the 2-piece broasted chicken with green beans and French fries. Interesting that the green beans are listed as having pork but the dish I received included beef. I guess they were out of extra pork that day. The fries were plentiful and crisp. The chicken was good but not as crispy as I would’ve preferred. On my second visit I went for total carbs… chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes and a biscuit. It could’ve used a little bit extra liquid but was pretty good.

We had issues with both the service and the food. Likely, most of the issues lay with the waitress. It took quite a long time for the server to come over. She brought over my husbands coffee but no milk. We asked three time before milk appeared. She stated she would be right back to take our order, it took quite some time before she reappeared. The food appeared quickly but it was undercooked. The cheese omelet had almost no cheese, the hash browns were undercooked. The skillet breakfast had eggs that were almost raw. Disgusting!

Conveniently neighbor to the Springhill Suites, Bob Evans was definitely a lifesaver after a crazy wedding night we attended in Columbus! Four of us stopped by on a Sunday morning — we were sat quickly & service was fast. Overall, it was a nice visit with three exceptions: 1) I ordered the half-sandwich & soup combo that was pictured on the menu to be served together. The soup came out in advance. 2) The half-sandwich was dinky. 3) The server never came back after dropping off the food. We had to find her to get the bill. So she didn’t come to ask how it was, didn’t refill our waters, and she didn’t pay attention to the timing of our small meals for give the bill… Ehh.

I had recently waxed poetic about Bob Evans to my boyfriend, who had never tried it. We went to a location in Cleveland that was absolutely terrible. I was worried that Bob Evans had changed for the worse and my childhood comfort food would be ruined for me forever! Fortunately, we went to this location. THIS is the Bob Evans I know and love! Delicious comfort food and super friendly and attentive service. Even though it was a busy weekend morning, we were seated immediately and the service never wavered. I think I have converted the boyfriend to the Bob Evans fan club. If you’re looking for the typical Bob Evans experience, this is it! You will not be disappointed.

Great food and great service. Kids eat free in July! I ordered the Farmers Choice for $ 7.99 and was stuffed!

Damn, talk about the dregs of service and food quality. If it was 2am after a night of partying, id pass it by.

Another good experience att BE. I came over for breakfast and had my usual; sausage gravy and biscuits and two eggs over easy. The eggs were perfect and the biscuits(taken from the middle, please) were also. And the sausage gravy, I’ve never had better!

Oh Sunday morning… how bittersweet you are. Typically, you’ll find me here; hair a mess, mascara down my face… but ofcourse, still pulling it off. ;P This is a campus staple for that early morning, post-weekend breakfast. I haven’t really eaten anything hear OTHER than breakfast, so I can’t comment. Although, I remember when I was younger not really«getting» Bob Evans. But it’s an Ohio staple. I vote for the Turkey Sausage breakfast! My go-to order, even comes with a fresh fruit bowl! And then ofcourse, the biscuit bowls if I am feeling like cheating. Better than Cracker Barrel(gag me), but not as good as Northstar.

Best breakfast near campus without a doubt! It’s easy to get to and even though they are packed they usually seat and serve you in a reasonably quick time. The eggs are nice and buttery, they have great breakfast meats, good coffee, biscuits, pancakes, french toast, and waffles. I am getting hungry writing this. I usually order the classic breakfast. It’s a great deal. For something like $ 5.00 you get two eggs, sausage links, patties, or bacon, and a pancake or french toast. For an extra $.15 I usually make it a blueberry pancake, which is delicious and well worth the extra nickel and dime. I also usually get the turkey sausage link instead of the regular, which they do for no charge, and again I think it is very good sausage. They even usually put a little fresh parsley on the eggs. The waitstaff is always friendly and helpful and the food and drink is all around good.

I’ll have to say that I’m a fan. Bob Evans is all about comfort food, and you’ll find me there at least once a week. Bob’s has the best bacon in the state. If you are especially lucky you’ll be seated by Marsha(the hostess with the mostest) will seat you and Bette will wait on you.

I have explained in a previous review that where I grew up that you were a Bob Evans post church family or a Cracker Barrel one and you only crossed the lines if you were invited to eat with another family from church. My family was a Cracker Barrel family. I will give Bob Evans credit; they have really tasty dinner items on their menu and terrific dinner rolls! What I do not like is their breakfast. Their home fries are too few and have no taste to them; everything else is nothing I feel like I should be paying so much for. Portions are small and there is nothing on their breakfast menu that sets them apart from my own kitchen. With all of the locally owned breakfast places in Columbus I am sure you can find one that would be much better to go to than Bob Evans. This location is the reason why I am rating it with 2 stars instead of 1. Every time I have gone here the service has been excellent, with the wait time for a table short, even when busy. So if you must go to Bob Evans, this locale isn’t too shabby.

Nothing in the Short North after 11 on a Thursday serves breakfast, so my local Columbus co-worker took me here to this more suburban like area of Columbus. This was my first time at a Bob Evans and it was okay. It is very much like Ihop but they had fresh blueberries on the pancakes which was a nice touch and they tasted good, although, they need to have good old fashioned Eggs Benedict. They fancy it up and I don’t really like the options. The hollandaise sauce was nothing special either. Coffee was average yet the waitress was very nice and sweet.

Yes, it’s a chain, but I was looking forward to some good sausage and an enormous farm style breakfast. To my surprise, the portions aren’t that large here. I didn’t think there was anything particularly special about the food here though I like the retail area and the fact that they bake their own pies. IHOP is better.
