History
Established in 1985.
Chris Marshall started in the restaurant industry very early. He completed work with Wendys, T. Marzetti, and a few other places before deciding he wanted to open his own place. In 1985, Chris opened Chris’ Restaurant. He had many years of getting to know regulars and enjoyed every minute of being in the restaurant. In the early 90’s Chris’ moved from it’s Grandview Ave location to it’s current location at 1105 W. 1st Ave. As the years went on Chris’ son, Matt, slowly began the process of learning the ins and outs of running a business. Chris decided a name change was a good idea since Matt was now in line to take the business over. So Marshall’s was created. Matt and his wife, Shannon, have added a few new things to Marshall’s, but it will always remain true to the family traditions and recipes. We look forward to growing with the Grandview community and watching our children learn the ins and outs of the restaurant industry. We thank you for your support.
Meet the Business Owner
Matt M.
Business Owner
I spent a lot of time in the restaurant business. I pretty much grew up in the kitchens of my father’s restaurants. I have a lot of memories here at Marshall’s. I have done every aspect of this business, but really enjoy the bar side of it. I love being in the kitchen, socializing on a weekend with the breakfast crowd, watching customers young children become young adults, creating new menu items, coming up with new and clever specials, making changes when needed, and anything else involving the restaurant. I look forward to what each day will bring, because each new day is so different from the previous in the restaurant business. I hope that you enjoy coming to Marshall’s as much as I have enjoyed helping create it.
