Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbus At Northlake

One awesome Hotel, I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Fort Benning and as for Yvonne front desk she is just a joy and pleasure to deal with. Such a clean and comfy hotel. The place smells amazing. Free awesome Breakfast. Everything you need is working walking distance. Restaurants.

When you’re down in Georgia and you’re on a budget, this Holiday Inn Express is a great place to hang your hat. It’s a good location due to its close proximity to Ft. Benning (if that’s your thing). I stayed in a single king room which was really spacious and clean. I particularly loved the large mini-​fridge that was tucked away under the microwave. The room had all of the stuff I needed for my stay, including a pretty speedy wifi connection. I didn’t hit the pool, but let’s just say that Aquaman and I wouldn’t really get along. Plus it was only in the 60s during my visit.
The front desk crew was incredibly friendly and helpful. When I couldn’t check in early, the woman at the front desk processed my transaction so that when I came back all I had to do was pick up a key. I also walked away with a delicious peanut butter cookie and an ice cold bottle of water.
The continental breakfast is pretty normal, although the cinnamon rolls were really good! They also had a pancake conveyor belt for those who wish for a nice stack before heading out.
I was pleased with my stay here and I will definitely be back when the need arises.

Looks (and better yet, smells) clean and new. Great location for tons of shopping and restaurants. Everyone so far has been nothing but kind and helpful. Rates are reasonable, especially for a nice looking King room with free WiFi, a microwave and mini fridge. Plus — they gave us free cookies at check in! What more can you ask for?

Very nice hotel. Staff was friendly and it is close to a good deal of restaurants and shopping. The area is also very safe and far enough from base to where you almost forget you are in a military town. Room was clean and well stocked with comforts. Hotel also offers a government rate so that is nice.

No better bang for your buck. I spent three nights and four days here. The gym in the hotel is small, but, they have a membership for their guests with a nice gym right up there street. Complementary hot/​cold breakfast in the mornings. In terms of the hotel’s location, its has both pro’s and con’s. On the pro side, it is ideally located on exit 10. Their are a plethora of restaurants and stores within a five minute drive. However, if you are looking for nightlife, you are better off staying in downtown Columbus i.e. historic downtown. Perhaps my only qualm was the free wifi was spotty at best. Though they do have a two computers in the business center with free internet. Further, they have a Jacuzzi and heated pool but I didn’t utilize either. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and definitely will be returning if I travel through the area again.

Awesome location if you are visiting Columbus!!! We came down many times during our son’s time in bootcamp @ Fort Benning and ejoyed our stay every time. They have a 1-​Bedroom King Suite here that is amazingly spacious for the price.
There is a heated pool that our kids enjoyed even on the coldest visits and hot tub is avaiable too. Of course they also offer the free breakfast that is a decent start to your day and lots of variety. Nice business center for internet access and use of printers is free. There is a small but decent exercise room and a Gold’s Gym just down the road if you are a member in need of better facilities. Staff here is very accomodating, especially the ladies at the front desk. They are truly sweethearts!!! Be sure to visit the National Infantry Museum if you have time during your stay.

There is also a nearby Mall with tons of shopping and restaurant options and Ft. Benning is only about a 10 minute drive to the security gates.
