Dr Kvitko is priced much higher than other dentists in the area. He doesn’t make many of the charges clear when you ask the price of a cleaning. He adds on additional charges. Be sure to ask the price of all the services and fees before visiting.

I came in last year to have a routine annual cleaning.
I saw Dr. Beck for my cleaning and to have a few cavities they detected taken care of during the visit. Dr. Beck was wonderful. He was very kind and gentle. They said I would need all of my wisdom teeth removed under IV sedation and only Dr. Kvitko could perform those procedures. After speaking with Kvitko, I felt assured that he was very knowledgeable and experienced. He seemed very well versed and boasted how his practices were different than other typical dentists (especially in that he wouldn’t use temporary stitches because they weren’t as good as ones that don’t dissolve). We booked a date for the removal.
I went in early in the morning. He came in quickly and didn’t offer to go over any concerns or questions with me. I figured it wasn’t a big deal since the general information I was aware of and I figured anything else I would go over during my followup for stitches removal. They administered the IV sedation and I was out. I came to fairly quickly to Tony whom assisted me out to the car. My healing went well. My swelling went down quickly. I didn’t have any redness or abnormal discharge. I took much care in ensuring that I didn’t get any food trapped and did many salt water rinses.
I went in after a couple days to request the strings be trimmed on my stitches since they were left too long and I was trying to avoid biting them. They trimmed them and I was on my way.
When I went in for my official followup to have the stitches removed… it was the worst experience I had ever had. I was placed in a room and waited fifteen minutes in the waiting room before being taken back to a room. Then I waited another 30 minutes before he came in the exam room. Dr. Kvitko came in and didn’t even wear a mask for a large portion of the exam. So, I had to bear through his breath for one. He also didn’t bother to ask how my recovery was or any concerns. Just wanted to get down to business and didn’t try to have a little more consideration for the rate at which he was moving. He pulled at the sides of my mouth aggressively all through the process. I’ve never experienced that with Dr. Beck. However, I tried to be an uncomplicated patient and stayed silent. He removed all my stitches but when he got to the last lower side, he began to struggle. The stitches were almost stuck in my gums and he continued to have issues cutting/​pulling them out. My mouth was throbbing and my eyes watery from trying to hold back tears. Finally, when he did succeed, he quickly said goodbye and ran out the room. My face was red and I was furious. The assistant just uttered to take some ibuprofen and said her goodbyes. I quickly walked out to the front, confirmed I didn’t need to pay any fees, and stormed out. I was disgusted and my face was already increasingly swollen. I assumed this was normal since he was so aggressive. However, by the time I got home, my cheek was three times the size and burning hot. Later that evening, it started discharging pus.
I called and they prescribed me more antibiotics which I took and once done… my face inflamed again and started discharging.
So I went back in and they took scans. They found a cavity that they missed and, at first, he tried to brush off what was going on saying that perhaps my cavity caused it. What a total joke. He then later dismissed that. However, Dr. Beck came in and took care of my cavity for free for missing it at my cleaning (which I appreciated). He was of course very gentle during the procedure and even took me to raise my hand up if I started to feel pain or the numbing wearing down. Beck finished. Kvitko came in to reopen my wisdom tooth area to see what was going on and to scrape it so it could start the healing process over. I was still numb from earlier so he didn’t give me more numbing. Of course, he continued pulling at my face like it was a piece of rubber and not human flesh. I shrugged it off knowing it’d be over soon. He scrapped my gums vigorously to ensure it would heal again and confirmed no food was trapped. He said he wasn’t sure why it happened and it’s just one of those mysteries. Then as he went to re-​stitch the area (this time using dissolve stitches — because apparently his stance on them all of the sudden changed)…all my numbing wore off and I felt all the pain from the gum scrapping, cavity procedure, and his fingers stretching my mouth at once. My eyes welled up and my nose got runny and I still had water in the back of my throat that he didn’t completely suction out from earlier. I started to cry and even worse couldn’t breathe since my nose was clogged. Kvitko instantly freaked out, dropped the needle in my mouth, and berated me like a child. «Pull yourself together, Stop crying, There, I numbed you again»…he also screamed at me when I raised my hand in pain thinking I’d grab his arm when I just wanted to signal I needed him to stop a moment. He, of course, left the room quickly upon completion.

I went to Dr. Kvitko for molar pain. He evaluated and suggested a root canal. He gave me a price which was about $ 1600, and said that would handle the problem. I paid him upfront for the procedure. During the procedure he caused me immense pain. When I returned to him for the pain, he dismissed it and told me that the pain would «go away.» Upon my third return visit to get relief from what he had done, he x-​rayed the tooth and told me it was cracked. He then extracted my tooth and had the audacity to charge me for the tooth that he broke.
He has zero regard for me and sent me to collections for the tooth extraction, instead of taking into consideration his own mistake and take responsibility for it. The Dr’s ego is put way ahead of the patient’s well being. Several other dentists in Columbus, OH have since told me that Dr. Kvitko is known for this. He is much more concerned in his own self promotion than any patient.

Dr. K has been my dentist for well over 16 years now! He’s taken my wisdom teeth out, fixed TMJ, and set me up with a no cavity track record for the entire time! He’s definitely doing everything right! The office staff is always awesome and fun, with good humor. I moved out of state but will be making it back 2ce a year to my awesome dentist!

Great bedside manner. Tv’s in every room are controlled by the patient. You can choose to watch tv, a relaxing seascape, or the nursery/​play room, where your children are waiting for you.
Dr.Kvitko specializes in gentle dental care. He understands the fear associated with a Dentists’ visit. He has created an office of comfort and compassion. He is also one to give back. He is involved in the Buddy Walk and numerous smile makeovers. Maybe you’ve seen him on tv? He’s everywhere!
