Terrys Tag & Title Service

I recently purchased a car from a private party, and he kept the tags, so I needed new ones. Since I work during the week, I wanted to handle the transaction on a Saturday. The MVA near me does not handle any transactions except driver’s licenses on Saturday, so I went to Terry’s Tag and Title in Columbia, which is open on Saturday. I am extremely happy that I decided to do so.
The service there was great, and I was in and out of their small shop in 10 minutes. Another customer was there ahead of me, but she was waiting for another family member to arrive to sign some paperwork. The representative behind the desk kindly asked her if she could begin my transaction while she waited. Then she immediately began processing the paperwork (title, safety inspection, proof of insurance), and within a very short time I was holding the tags, the vehicle registration, and the registration stickers (for the tags). The representative there was even nice enough to place the registration stickers on the license plate. The title paperwork was entered and was mailed to me by the MVA several weeks later.
I highly recommend Terry’s Tag and Title. Several other places I found on the Internet claimed to be open on Saturday, but when I called they said that they were not. Also, a number of other places seem to be combined with insurance agencies, auto repair shops, etc. Terry’s is a standalone business, and their storefront in Columbia seems to be in a nice area.
