I’ve been to Addison’s twice. I really liked the venue as well as the beer list. The Cuban sandwich was very good. On the second visit I had a chicken sandwich that I thought was ok. I plan on returning to try some of their other offerings.

Nachos Bianca! That is all. No, not really. I still have more to say. :) Get the vegetarian version, with black beans and banana peppers. I *dream* about this dish sometimes. I know there are some other nice things here, like the Thai chicken salad, but on the rare occasion I’m in town — those nachos are all I care about. Nice beer selection, too.

Addisons was recommend to me by several people I was working with this week. So I went last night and ate there. I had the French dip with the mojito fries. The meat was nice and tender the a jue dipping sauce was a little thick but good tasted like French onion soup with meat. The atmosphere is really nice it would be a Bret place for a group I think. I would like to go back and try the crab Rangoon dip. Someone told me about it today after I went there. So I will try it next time I visit.

I thought the food was tasty. It didn’t blow me out of the water but it was good. We got the appetizer nachos which were a hit. Disappeared in minutes. It’s HUGE! Tasty too. I got the tuna entrée and it was cooked to order. I like it rare. The cook cooked my friends medium rare orders really well too. The portions for this entrée wasn’t huge but it was tasty. Again, could have had more flavor, especially the rice, but it was okay. A nice place to go with family or if a friend comes to the town.

This is a solid restaurant with nice atmosphere and a well-rounded menu. There is nothing particularly unique or adventurous about the food, but what they do, they do consistently well. Keep in mind, this is a popular spot downtown, so if you go in a weekend, you will have a wait. For lunch or on weeknights, it’s usually not too bad(depending on what else is happening in the area). Now, the food. The Nachos Bianco are extremely popular, and for good reason. They are made with asiago(yes please), and a great mix of topics such as banana peppers, olives, black beans and tomatoes. I am a huge fan of their Grilled Salmon BLT wrap and their asiago broccoli as a side. During my last visit, I order the Louie’s Flatbread Cuban, which could have used a little more meat but was otherwise pretty tasty. The food can take a bit longer than other places to come out, but again, that depends on crowd and what you order. I’ve found things like pasta take longer than other items. They have a late night happy hour every night of the week(instead of a standard happy hour), which is awesome for night owls like me. Their happy hour includes $ 2 pints, which is not a bad deal at all. One of my favorite things about Addison’s is the décor, which features some original paintings by one of the bartenders. Such a cool feature!

Guuuh. I had the most obnoxious visit to this restaurant. Our group of four was told it would only be a wait of a few minutes. Half an hour later, we were seated. It took forever for a server to come by. Several minutes. Our food took forever. What should have been an hour long lunch was running closer to two. The food seems uninspired and bland. I ordered the Thai Chicken Salad, which was mediocre at best. Prices are kinda of steep for a Midwestern college town. Fast forward to the next morning… I lost a day of my life to the most wretched food poisoning I’ve experienced in quite some time. I definitely won’t be going back to this place.

I lived in Columbia for several years, and Addison’s is at the top of my list of places to eat whenever I’m back for a visit. The location and atmosphere are great, service is usually good, prices are reasonable, and they serve my favorite appetizer(nachos bianco) and dessert(phyllo brownie) of all time. I haven’t been a huge fan of a couple of their entrée items(which is all that keeps them from 5 stars for me), but nothing has been bad and most items are great!

Friendly service and great atmosphere. Great downtown feel, especially after 7am where they dim the lights and keep the music a bit upbeat. Cheers on great food, too.

This place is a bit more upscale than the other bars around this area. The place has lots of booths, spacious seating, and a bar outfitted with a handful of TVs. They have a pretty kick-butt late night happy hour with $ 2 drafts, a wine special, and nachos for $ 5. Service was good, and we comfortably enjoyed a few late night beers before heading home.

This is a great local place. There is no doubt you feel at home the very second you walk in. Restored, downtown building with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent variety on the menu. You can’t go wrong. Enjoy!

Over priced sad food… bad service. One of the most confused places I have ever been to. The food was over salty, and oily. The waitress had clue about anything.

Addison’s is my spot for $ 2 drafts past 9 on week days. Exceptional service and a great environment make for a great restaurant experience. I’ll be back again. Can not really go wrong with anything on the menu.

Well… I’ve done all I can do, Addison’s. After last night, I can say I will never be back! I got HORRIBLE food poisoning last night(had to go to a doctor and everything, it was so bad) after eating their pulled pork. The first time I called, a waiter even told me it had happened to someone the night before, but they had«made a new batch.» When I got a hold of the owner, Adam, he was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. Not once did he apologize. He was asking me all sorts of probing questions(who I was with, where I was sitting, what dressing was on my salad, etc) without once explaining why he was asking these questions or apologizing for what I had gone through. He didn’t mention that someone else had been sick the day before, but I assume that’s because he would have rather continued to berate me over the phone and make me feel like an idiot. He was horrible. Such a disappointment when you spend lots of hard earned money on a meal that makes you sick and then get the owner on the phone who could care less about what happened. I would expect an establishment of this kind to treat their customers better than that. Stay away. I warned you. Go to another good restaurant in town where you will be treated with respect and not get food poisoning.

Awesome. Incredible Service by Mona!!! Jalapeño Smothered Pork Chop is to die for. Great place and they welcome you 3 minutes before opening time like they are glad to see you.

Got the turkey wrap tonight to share since we got the Nacho’s Bianco. The turkey wrap was a little bland tonight and the side of fries was pretty small. Nacho’s Bianco is always a treat! The restaurant was crowded, but we got there early enough to get the last open table with no wait. Service was prompt. The restaurant was clean. Aside from the disappoint turkey wrap — it was a good visit. I have had the turkey wrap several times in the past and it was just fine.

I have never understood why people are so crazy about Addison’s. I have been there several times because my friends like it and every time I go in with an open mind thinking, «Maybe I just got them on a bad day.» But, alas, each time I am disappointed. The service is never very good, the food is mediocre, the atmosphere is only so-so. My advice is skip it.

I love Addison’s. I came here for years in college, and now it’s my first thought for food or a drink whenever I come back. They are great for groups, provide good service, though a bit slower to get food out at busier times, naturally. They have a great draft list with lots of local craft options and seasonals. If you drink beer, this is the best happy hour options. It’s lively but not nasty(unlike many of the nearby college bars). It’s got a great menu, reasonably priced, with some unique options. The nachos bianco(also a happy hour special) cannot be missed. Also, the Thai peanut wrap is a delicious vegetarian option. Still, it’s mostly standard contemporary American fare The décor is nice and cleaner than lots of other bars with a decent happy hour. The crowd is a little more mature, thank goodness, but diverse as well. The paintings inside are very intriguing too. It’s a local joint, and I’m glad to have celebrated many a momentous occasion here.

Very good food and service. We visited the night before homecoming and the place was packed. The staff handles everything very well. I have the pulled pork BBQ and it was excellent. We were planning on visiting the following night but someone ran their car into the building. Hope everyone is ok and the place gets fixed.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times and 3 stars may be a more accurate assessment in my opinion. The atmosphere is great, but the food is just OK. I’ve heard that happy hour is a great time to go for food and specials, but I’ve not tried it yet

Well, I hadn’t been in town in about 4 – 5 years, but I used to eat here all of the time in college, then again when I was back for grad school, and for a third stint when I covered Columbia as part of my sales territory. It used to be one of my favorites. Needless to say, based in my 2 stars, I was disappointed. Maybe I had it on a pedestal from years ago, or maybe it’s the fact that I’m almost 40, and my tastes are more refined. So I started with Calamari, and while the breading light and crisp, it basically just fell right off the calamari rings. Something clearly needs to be changed in the batter so it stays on. Also, the aioli was not good. Looked like plain mayo, with wasabi mixed in. Would have rather just had marinara. House salad was next, and it we as fine. Nothing special, but it was a salad. Finished with the Mediterranean Pizza, and I added pepperoni. Also, subpar. Crust was a little tok doughy. Cheese was way too thick. And there were literally 6 slices of pepperoni in the whole pizza.(I counted them) All in all, a disappointing experience. Only gave it 2 stars because the bartender did a decent job, was attentive, the two beers I had were good, and be kept my water full. I can only hope that when I visit the sister restaurant, which was another favorite of mine, I do not have the same disappointing experience.
