SERIOUSLY BEWARE. This company is awful. There were a number of things that happened so let me get into detail. When I first got set up with Xfiniti I opted in for self installation; when the package arrived I started the process and wasn’t getting a signal so I called in for help. I was told by some women from customer service that I shouldn’t get self-​installation if I didn’t know what I was doing. Mind you, I followed all of the directions and it’s a pretty simple process. She was extremely rude telling me that I was basically incompetent and would have to pay for an advisor to come in. I then got transferred to a nice gentleman that set me up with someone to come assess the problem free of charge.
A few days later they arrived and it ended up being a cut wire in the back of my house that even with the right equipment I wouldn’t be able to fix the problem. The I got a bill saying I owed $ 50 for having them come out. I called to dispute the payment and wasn’t getting anywhere until I asked to shut off my services in which the representative quickly agreed I shouldn’t of been billed because I was told I wouldn’t be and knocked off the charges.
The service was extremely slow the entire time I had Comcast and I usually stayed on Xfiniti’s hot spot because of this. When I called in to explain that I was only getting service in my living room (mind you I live in a 735 sq. foot apartment) They tried selling me more equipment so I could get service throughout my house. I obviously declined.
Later on I called in to cancel the service because it wasn’t being used due to the lack of quality of the WiFi, low and behold I got another extremely rude customer service representative that informed me that if I canceled I would get charged fee’s because I was in a commitment. I signed up with Xfiniti specifically because my area offer no commitment services. I explained this to her and she rudely stated that I was wrong and would still be charged. Once being transferred to a manager he informed that I was NOT in a commitment and I shouldn’t of been told so. Sleezy tactic I guess.
I canceled that day and returned my equipment to a local shop. I spoke with a Greg and informed him of why I was canceling. He was very sincere and apologized for the troubles. He told me that if I paid $ 50.00 that day he would wave all other charges. I agreed and said I wouldn’t write the review I was talking about.
A month later I got a bill in the mail so called Comcast again and was transferred to another rude representative and was told I had to pay the outstanding bill. I then spoke with a manager and was told that the account was at 0.00 and not to worry about it.
Fast forward to present time I just recently got a collections notice in the mail! I’ve called Comcast and they have «nothing on file». So I am forced to pay something that I already settled and it is now on my credit. They’re a bunch of liars and will charge you with the promises not to!!! I do not suggest them, save yourself the headache. I have never been so disgusted in a company in my entire life

Moved my office, was promised an appointment call, it’s been a week, we called twice to Sean’s number, no answer left messages, no return call. Called service spoke to multiple service associates transferred back and forth with no results. So I’m out of business until someone at Comcast decides to provide install service. I now see why they have a 1.5 rating…

Why is a supervisor NEVER available to speak to on the phone? We called before Thanksgiving to increase our service from only internet to internet and cable. The price quoted was 79.99/month for two years. We were told the quote sent to our email (which we never received) would show a higher price because the supervisor had to approve the quote, but that it would be approved as that was the special going on at the time. We picked up the equipment no problem but a few days later received the first bill which was for $ 205. My husband called to speak with a customer service rep and ended up in an argument with the agent who basically told him that deal wasn’t available and it was too bad. My husband requested to speak with a supervisor and was told there wasn’t one available. Then my husband stopped at the Xfinity service center, also where a supervisor was not available, and was told that the calls are recorded and the initial offer would have to be honored. They told him to call the 800 number again because they didn’t have access to the call recordings. The next day, my husband spoke with an agent who said the 79.99 would be set up and that she was referring this to her supervisor so the supervisor could listed to the call from the day before that ended in an argument. The agent said the supervisor would call back the following Monday which never happened. So, a week later my husband called again. There was still no supervisor available but he was told they would get ahold of the initial supervisor (from the week before) and have her call him back. Still no phone call. Then today I logged in to pay the bill and it’s still showing $ 205. My husband called again and was told, you guessed it, no supervisor was available. He was told that the call would go to any supervisor available at random but they were all in a meeting. The agent eventually said that «Miss Mona» was her supervisor and one would be calling back. How does this company even stay in business? When I’ve had to go to the service center the employees have always been nice and helpful and usually on the phone they’re nice so I think the problem is coming from much higher up? Anyhow, Comcast/​Xfinity/​Whatever you want to call yourself, you suck.

MILES ANDERSON. BUSINESS SIDE OF THEIR BUSINESS. Horrible! Takes his time to get to you then give several reasons why he can’t help you. Have a business and home account with Xfinity. Modem connection is horrible. But they will not replace the modem we have with one that is better. Have to reset the modem and router 3x EVERYDAY. Miles said he would escalate this to tech service. Never happened. Wasting money on a modem that needs to be replaced. It has been over a month that I have been asking for help.
Be careful of him if you get him as your BUSINESS REP. Otherwise, have no complaints with video or phone side but Internet, which we depend on for business, is horrible.

Comcast just changed their software. You cannot channelsurf if you are not fully subbed to every channel now. as of 10−25−15 I discovered this. Any channel you are not paying for will put up a grey screen with sub instructs. You cannot get out of it unless you push EXIT on your remote. The remote is NOT programmable to skip this. They will SELL YOU a $ 6.00 voice activated remote and expect you to return the other remote in an enclosed mailer. THEY ARE FORCING YOU TO WATCH THEIR ADS FOR MORE PAY TV NOW. you can’t get around it if you channel surf. Don’t forget-​even if you hate sports you also pay a $ 1.00 fee every month on your cable bill so those who WANT sports can afford their packages by your involuntary donation to the franchise purchase price. COMCAST THE PUC AND ANY OTHER GOV org are going to be notified. YOU SUCK! WHY DID YOU DO THIS? SAY GOODBYE TO MY BUSINESS .This is is true any Cosprings comcast customer will experience this now.
UPDATE:Call and say you are quitting-​get to RETENTIONS=they will mail you all older «legacy» boxes with mailers to send the xfinity equipment back. The older boxes can be programmed and will not get all the infinity crap on it. NO DVR but we never used it anyway.

We are bundled with xfinity. Phone service is horrible, intermittent silence and cuts off on calls, seriously thinking of going back to qwest if this continues. Our hi def goes off frequently as well, often have to call them to have the box reset, also had to switch boxes. Lousy company.

Wow if you really want to understand not to get service from Comcast. Read the details below and my past reviews after I tell you that after paying their extortion of an early termination fee for services they could not provide they still sent us off to a collections agency. Yes we paid them prior to the due date and in fact we paid an extra dollar to force them to send us a check. Believe it but we must justify our payment in writing to the collections agency before they take further action. Don’t do it.

Four stars because I don’t quite get the 100 download speed promised, but close enough. Latency is low (good). I have X1, TV, Internet, and Phone. Service over the last year has gone down only once and it was up quickly. I moved from Los Angeles and this is better than Time Warner with regard to quality and quantity of offerings. DVR service is excellent and works whole-​house. As an I.T. pro, I can tell you there is no other option for internet in this town, you will be severely disappointed if you try Century Link or anything else for internet. Go with Comcast, pay a little more, but get a superior product.

This company has come a long way since the last time I had service with them. The customer service agents are very polite and helpful, the installer was polite and had me up and running in no time. I’ve had them for about 6 months now and have had no outages or issues as of yet. I have the new X1 platform and it is awesome. I have 1 HD DVR and 2 additional HD receivers that feed off the main DVR. If I run into any problems, I will update my review but as of now, no issues to report. Keep up the good work Comcast :)

I wish I had never signed up for their service. I’ve always had their cable services, but last year they ran a «special» for their triple play package. I called to inquire what it entailed. You get cable, high speed internet, and phone. They tell me it’s only $ 99.00 per month for 2 years. I think it’s a pretty good deal, so I sign up. I get my first bill and guess what? It’s not $ 99.00. They’ve added taxes and some other fees that I was never told about so I’m really paying $ 122.00 per month. I’ve had nothing but problems with the service starting with my home phone. It constantly breaks up when I’m on it so I can’t hear the person speaking to me. They’ve been out here 3 or 4 times and I still have the issue and I’ve never had problems with my home phone. They’ve changed the cable lines outside, the router box, checked the phone box outside and even suggested it could be an issue within my home wiring which it is not — I never had this issue in all the 25 years I had service with Century Link. The internet isn’t always as «fast» as they promote and sometimes I sit here waiting and waiting for sites to open while the little wheel spins and spins. Another issue lately has been spotty cable service, sometimes for a few hours. It keeps going out in my area lately. Not only does it affect my TV, I lose my internet and phone as well, and I didn’t know the phone would go out when I signed up — it’s a good thing I have a cell phone. So, I call from my cell phone to see what’s up and the automated prompts tell you to go online to see about outages in your area. Really? I have no internet service, so how could I possibly do that? The person I finally reach offers me a «deal» for my trouble, I will receive HBO and some other dumb services I won’t ever use for «free» for 3 months. Yeah, I’ve heard that before and I always end up getting charged for this crap that I didn’t want to begin with. I tell them I’m not interested because I always end up getting charged and the person assures me I won’t, to which I tell him again that I am not interested, but if you really want to make it right, give me a deal on my bill — like $ 10.00 off to which he thanked me for being an Xfinity customer and have a nice day. He couldn’t wait to get off the phone fast enough. I can’t wait for my contract to be up — I will be looking for another provider in the future. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the guys they sent out to install or attempt to fix the bad service were very nice and professional. BTW — it took over 10 minutes to get to the Unilocal site to post this review. Not high speed by any means…

I will never use this crappy company again. We had their service for a few months. It was great! Then we moved. They have all their stupid commercials about how easy it is to move and continue service. LIES. We moved and even upgraded so someone came out to install everything. He took all the old boxes out and replaced everything but wouldn’t explain why.
Couple months goes by… our account online says we owe $ 0… okay. Wait for next month… same thing. How do we owe nothing?! Because they started a new account for us. Without our consent or knowledge. New account number which we had no access to either. The new account charged us account opening fees, installation fees, equipment fees and more. We are not new account holders, we’ve been with you for several months and that’s how you repay us?! They say they are allowed to do this (you are allowed to commit fraud and open new accounts AGAINST THE consumer’s wishes?!) and they do it sometimes. As though they just randomly selected who they can screw over. They refuse to fix it so I’m writing this review. I will also be calling AGAIN to get this reviewed by someone in this horrible company who may even possibly have an intelligent bone in their body.

Worst service all around ever! Horrible everything from customer service to connection and internet. Might as well just get a hotspot on your phone they suck.

Over 8 years with this company, and I have had very mixed experiences. I have had very competent, considerate folks come to set up service, and have had very rude, incompetent folks come to set up service.
Sometimes when I call to have an issue fixed or change my plan, I connect with a very helpful, competent person that gets the job done with 5 star efficiency. More often, I connect with a person on the phone that I have difficulty understanding… or even worse, can’t understand me, my questions, or my issues.
I VERY OFTEN find myself hanging up and calling back, hoping to connect with someone that speaks English well enough to be able to understand the questions I am asking them. When I have waited on hold for quite some time and connect with someone that cannot comprehend my questions, it gets tiresome and time-​consuming.
I am not quite sure how they expect to keep customers when the outsourced labor they have answering phones for them can’t understand or comprehend customer questions. I absolutely dread having to call Comcast. 40% of the time, I get amazing service, the other 60% of the time, I want to pull my own hair out.
Most recently, we have had trouble with a poor signal which results in programs relentlessly glitching visually and losing audio; mostly while trying to watch On Demand programs, but sometimes during scheduled programming as well. An installer was sent to streamline our installation as much as possible since it was done incorrectly the first time, but the problem is still a regular occurrence.
Do NOT «sign» contracts with them over the phone unless you are recording the conversation. I have been lied to about contract details. I have also been lied to about premium channel promotions. When I am told I have been given HBO for 6 months, but it ends after 3 months, there is absolutely no proof of what the representative promised over the phone unless I have a personal recording of it. Their representatives experience no repercussions for lies told over the phone just to make sales, so download a phone call recording app and make good use of it if you decide to do business with them.

Liar’s! You cannot believe anything that is said to you. If you have any business dealing with anyone via phone or in person remember «If it isn’t in writing it doesn’t exist». They will not honor any conversation you have with any employee. BUYER BEWARE!

The WORST customer service for wifi ever. I never expect much as far as service goes from an Internet provider but Comcast went out of their way to be terrible. I’ve been fighting for days and have been hung up on over and over again and STILL haven’t resolved the issue. I’d rather try and communicate via smoke ring than to ever use this provider again!!! Miserable worst provider ever

I’ve lived in several parts of the country over the last 15 years and I’ve even had Comcast in other states. I’ve concluded that Comcast XFinity in Colorado Springs is the absolute worst internet service provider that I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, even though there are about 500,000 residents in Colorado Springs now, this is still the only show in town. As soon as Verizon Fios or AT&T UVerse is available here, I will be jumping ship immediately. The funny thing is that this review doesn’t even matter to Comcast/​XFinity. They won’t even address it because they have a monopoly on this area. If someone knows of a better way to get internet in this area, PLEASE post something on this page.
WORST INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES!!!

I have had Comcast less than a month. We are already ready to leave. We have had nothing but issues with our services. Our initial setup was done by someone who didn’t know what the heck they were doing. We later found out that it was outsourced to another company. Then a week later our neighbors got Comcast. The person installing their services unplugged ours, and it took several days for someone to come and reconnect ours back. Plus, there is a 20 foot cord running through 3 of my neighbors yards plus mine from their service. That know one seems to care about. But lucky for us we have taken pictures.. Now, our first months bill is completely wrong. They have overcharged us, plus added another month to it, to be ahead. We are leaving Comcast. I’d rather pay more and go somewhere else. I suggest you do the same. Horrible company. …

Just moved to CO and cannot imagine worse customer service could be possible. People in the store couldn’t care less about customer satisfaction. Outsourced call center personnel are inept and unable/​unwilling to help. Trying to get answers as to why service is still unavailable more than one week after sign up is impossible. Constant runaround and seemingly purposeful misinformation when contacting one of the numerous customer service, tech support, activation lines.
Seriously, is this a joke?
In what world do these people operate a business?
Apparently, in the cable/​internet/​phone industry, providing the actual service that is so widely advertised is an afterthought to getting customers to sign up and take their money.

This company is a joke and a monopoly in the colorado springs area. Unfortunately we cannot have direct tv because our apartment faces north and cannot install a dish.
You call in to talk to a person and they say they have it all taken care of, then you flip on the tv and still no channels. Then you use the online chat and its like you are talking to a robot and they ask you the same questions over and over while pitching you prices that change with every sentence.
If you can, avoid comcast at all costs and go with direct tv for your cable services. Unfortunately right now these idiots are the only ones that offer internet because they have a monopoly.
Just watch your monthly bill very carefully for changes in your price monthly and misc. fees and taxes will creep up and up each month.

Just moved to Colorado Springs less than a month ago.
We set up internet and cable through Comcast on a 30 day trial. It didn’t take 30 days to discover that the internet was very slow and the TV packages left much to be desired.
We tried upgrading the internet and it was still just as slow.
Our monthly rate should have been $ 70 and we were told that there would be no charge for install. 3 weeks into the trial we went online and our bill was over $ 200! When asking them why it was because there was a $ 40 install fee and a $ 7 monthly rental of the modem which we were not told about. They were also pre-​billing the next month.
Knowing that if we didn’t cancel within 30 days I started looking into other options… otherwise we would be locked into a 2 year contract which will increase even more after the first year.
Called Direct TV and their customer service was phenomenal. They explained all of the charges in great detail and were very helpful and best of all honest. We were able to get 225 channels for $ 45 per month.
The most shocking thing to me was that Direct TV was unable to provide internet in our location. Ive called 4 other companies and no one else is able to provide internet! Only Comcast.
Ive never experienced such a monopoly for a commodity in this day an age that is a necessity.
The whole point of having free enterprise offering products and services is to ensure fair pricing, better customer service and to allow consumers to cast their «vote» by awarding their business.
I am surprised that the competition laws allow for this and question why one company has a complete choke hold on the market leaving consumers restricted and forced to go with them.
I will also note that the people I spoke with at Direct TV were not outsourced– I was happy to see that they are employing Americans.
Given the market domination and wealth Comcast has taken — I say taken because it appears there is no other choice– why would they outsource their call center overseas and not give something back to the people by at least employing Americans?
While we could have saved money by staying with Comcast $ 80 per month for both we have chosen to pay more out of principal.
We will give Comcast the business that we are forced to and not a penny more.
Hopefully my post will inspire others to push for change as this type of control a business has is not good for the economy nor is it good for the people.
