We recently moved to Colorado Springs from California and needed window coverings in our entire house. The owners and employees at Made In the Shade were friendly, knowledgeable and they have excellent customer service. They opted to replace a very expensive blind that we had problems with from the start, instead of trying to fix it, again and again. I highly recommend them and I will definitely use them for any further window treatment needs.

I bought a new house, so with that came the burden of buying a house full of window coverings. The sales rep Brian came right out and measured the windows and provided affordable options. He also came out and put up temporary blinds while our blinds were being shipped. The owner Katie was so helpful and pleasant. The installers were also very respectful. I would recommend this business to anyone that is in the market for new window coverings!

I scheduled a free in-​home blind consultation and Bryan arrived today to assist in my options from Made in the Shade. He was such a like-​able guy. He was easy to relate to and had great conversation. Bryan was incredibly informative with his window treatment options and recommendations. He knew the products very well and was able to relate to our interior design while helping us find the best product to fit our needs to match our style. We were given many choices and he really made our time feel just as important to him as it is to us. I hope we can figure out a way to pull off what we really would love to have in our new home with this company.

Just moved to Colorado and did not like the blinds that came in the home so took a chance on this company and was very impressed by the professionalism and how they did not pressure us into anything. We bought our first home recently and when we were fixing it up, we realized our faux wood blinds had faded from the sun to a pale neon green! Not our favorite ;) so when we got a postcard from Made In The Shade, I called them the next day. The receptionist was super sweet and helpful. When we had our in home consultation with Bryan he was very warm and didn’t mind stepping around our moving boxes. He didn’t try to pressure us into something more expensive, but instead was eager to help us pick something we could afford. It didn’t take long for the blinds to be ready and the guys that installed them were very nice. We felt we could trust them in our home and it only took them a couple hours. Quicker than they estimated! Over all we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend Made In The Shade! The blinds look incredible. It transformed our home and made it look truly finished and cozy. And our house stays cooler during hot summer days. We don’t notice that we don’t have AC as much now and the blinds shut extra tight which is perfect for our nursery. Thanks Bryan and everyone else at Made In The Shade!

We found Made in the Shade online and had a home consult with Bryan. We chose a combination of the solar shades. Bryan was extremely helpful in taking us threw the options and helping us select the perfect window treatments for our home. A friendly two man crew came about 10 days later and quickly installed all of the shades. We had a great experience with Made in the Shade and recommend them to anyone looking for custom window treatments.

Was referred to Made in the Shade by some friends a couple months ago. When my friends were talking about them, they said that they were some of the nicest people that you’d meet, and I agree. It’s definitely been true! Ryan and Katie are great to work with and great to get to know!
I was also really impressed with their showroom. They’re right off of Garden of the Gods Rd near Jimmy John’s, so it was easy to get to. It’s worth a stop by if you’re in the market to get some blinds in Colorado Springs. Who knew there were so many different options for window treatments.

We had plantation shutters installed in our new home by Ryan on three different occasions. Ryan had no issues with having to come back time and time again to install. It’s how we wanted it and he was more than happy to abide by our request. The shutters look great and perform as promised. There was one minor issue with one of the shutters that was the manufacturers error. Ryan took care of the issue with the manufacturer and all is good now. I would recommend him to anyone looking to have shutters or blinds installed. Great customer service. Thank you Ryan!

I had some old vertical blinds in my bedroom that we’re falling apart. I want he them replaced, but had no idea what was available. I just knew I didn’t want verticals again. Katy Linnell came to the house with some great ideas and their prices were so reasonable I had several other problems fixed. Ryan Linnell did the installations and the stuff looks great. Excellent service, prices and installation!

Ever since my dad had me write a review for a local business he loved, the rest of my family members have been requesting the same. So this review was written at the behest of Aunt Karen (Hi from Jersey!!)
To set the scene, my Aunt is nearing her eightieth birthday, and unfortunately she can’t get around as well as she used to. So it’s safe to say that the prospect of sprucing up her home with some new blinds and shutters would be quite a difficult undertaking at this point in time.
But thanks to Made in the Shade of Colorado Springs, the whole process was quick, easy, and completely hassle free. Instead of getting a friend to drive her to the store, negotiating with salesmen, and measuring the correct sizes for her home, Made in the Shade sent a salesman to her home with all the materials she needed. They brought samples, color swatches, professional installers, took measurements, and everything in between!
According to her, the salesman was «honest, straightforward, and never tried to sell me things I didn’t need.» In addition, she claims that the installation guys were just as good, noting that they were «sweethearts» and did the job quickly and «without any fuss whatsoever.»
She seems very pleased with everything that Made in the Shade did. And since I endorse what Auntie K. endorses, FIVE STARS it is!
