If I could give this school zero stars I would. This school is a complete scam. Not only do they lie to you and pressure you into enrolling, but they are scammers too. After the first 50 times they called me and I complained I was not interested and that I wanted to wait, I was finally enrolled. I was told that if I did not choose the fast track, financial aid would cover everything, and that I wouldn’t have to pay a dime. Right?
NO.
What they failed to inform me was that, they would give me several useless classes that I wouldn’t need and that I would be paying out of pocket for them. Another thing the school lied to me about was that financial aid would cover everything? They enrolled me as a freshman which would mean expenses would come out of pocket. Why didn’t they tell me this before enrolling when I asked?!
Next thing, every semester the tuition goes up $ 1,000. Seriously, why didn’t they tell me this when I ask? Instead they lied and claimed that I wouldn’t have to pay anything. So they charged me tuition fees three times before they decided to tell me that they’ve been charging me after I was just about to graduate. By then the bill was a little over a thousand. By the end of that month they added on an additional $ 6,000 for no reason at all. All this school cares about is their money.
I could not gain a job with this bogus degree and I can’t pay them because I wasted all my time at this school and learned absolutely nothing!!!
Thinking the worse part was over, I enrolled into an on campus school to move on, can’t do that.
Why?
Because Colorado Tech is now holding my transcripts hostage until they get their money. Best part was, they made me pay for the nonrefundable transcripts when they knew I wasn’t going to receive it. This school is very deceiving, and is a scam. I don’t understand how this school is still in business.
I had read somewhere that a former employee at this school was told that their pay was based on how many enrollments they made in a month, and that they did not put anyone on their «Do not call list». Most importantly, she mentioned that during her student interviews she was instant messaged by her supervisor ordering her to say things that were not truthful and made her uncomfortable.
This school is a scam and a joke. Enrolling was the worst mistake I have ever made, and now I’m trapped in this school and forever in debt to them. They had no problem collecting my money from financial aid either.
I still don’t understand that if financial aid covered over $ 16,000 what am I paying for?!
Would not recommend this sham of a school to anyone and will be contacting my lawyer.

I don’t know what all the bad reviews are about. It’s been a while since I went through registration, but I don’t remember it being that bad. I have attended this school for nearly 2 years now and have enjoyed most aspects of it. They have recently been updating their online education portal — great improvement. Also, I feel I have been getting an overall great education from here. The instructors are real world professionals in the subjects they teach, so you are getting real world instruction rather than just someone who is only teaching and never had real world experience. I have had wonderful experiences with the in classroom instruction, but the online classes are less to be desired.

Just got off the phone with these clowns. I wanted to see for myself how this was going to work. 55,500.00 2 ½ years and they have no job placement help. When I asked them about the drop out rate and why it is higher on their website v. s department of educations web site they hung up on me…
What a job thank for nothing

I wanted to finish my degree in the shortest time with all the necessary credits. I was naïve and unaware of the consequences that go along in finding a job with a degree from a mediocre school. I was just finishing my military duty and had the opportunity to acquire my BS in Information Systems from CTU. My Associates was honored and I finished my Bachelors in less than two years. I knew I made a mistake when the credits I was earning from the school were not transferable to other state schools and I was maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my entire attendance. I graduated thinking that it was too easy.
Later, I sent out resumes for a year. No job agencies would contact me and I did not get any leads from any organizations wanting to hire me. Companies wanting to sell me Microsoft Certification classes was about it. I was able to land a contract position and later hired on as a full-​time employee by making contact with an old friend who helped me get hired as a Software Developer.
There are many scams offering easy, short classes to obtain a degree. If it’s too good to be true, it probably is. CTU along with many of these online universities are not offering solid education. CTU does not prepare students for a harshly competitive, real working world.

Today this school started sending me a series of emails complete with log-​in information for some girl named Barbara from Alabama (very much not me). With one click — intending to send a «take me off your list» email — they exposed all this stranger’s private information including her address, financial aid, etc. Terrible security for students/​applicants and just sleezy.
When I did contact someone to report it, he told me that «these things happen» because she and I have «similar names.» I have a pretty common last name, and yet that kind of thing never happened to me at the university I attended…

This school is the biggest joke. They have aggressive sales people that hound you like the worst telemarketers on the planet. Why do they need sales people? Because they are not a real university, but a diploma mill that takes thousands of dollars to grant dullards a Bachelors Degree in 2.5 years. You don’t hear of UC Berkeley or Stanford using telemarketers.
I have a cousin going here who went to a continuation high school and took the GED test 3 times before she passed, but it now getting A’s and B’s at CTU. Oh, and their credits will never transfer to a real university.
I would never hire someone who graduated from this «University»
