We were cruising down the Potomac, when we experienced an engine problem. On short notice, on New year’s Day, we sought refuge at Colonial Beach. Jan let us know that although their operations were closed for the season, we could tie up at their marina, and could get a shower in the house. Bob offered us complementary beer to take the edge off the day, and then Jan was good enough to drive us to one of the few open restaraunts for dinner. She even offered to collect us after dinner — but we found our way back to the marina on our own. Class act people — I hope they come to DC and we can be half the good hosts they are.

Quaint, peaceful, affordable, and clean motel on the water – what more could one ask for. My husband and I spent Saturday evening at this motel and were extremely pleased. Will definitely come again.
