Landers ford in collierville has a great selection of vehicles and I’ve purchased two of the last few years. Both purchases we smooth but they get you with all the additional service charges. I recommend purchasing from here just stay clear of the service department.

I had the absolute worst customer experience ever from the service department. Rear view mirror was damaged when I picked up for an unrelated concern, when I mentioned, his reply was «if you have a flat while your truck is on my lot, I guess you’d want me to fix that sh## too.

So, I was in a wreck and my car was totaled. I had till Wednesday to find a new car. I lean toward US cars and Ford didn’t take the buyout so I am biased. Saturday morning my wife and I set out to buy a car. We started with Landers cause it is very near our house. I had a referral from a good friend to Tom S and I can’t spell his last name but find him. They had the well optioned bright red Fusion we wanted to look at. He copied my DL and gave me the gizmo. This car has no key only a lump you carry in your pocket to open the door and start the car. We drove around without him for 15 min and arrived back at the dealer. We had decided with the color and the options and based on the incentives this was option 1. Playing it cool when we get back I say well we should talk about the cost. He took us inside and showed us a table. We expected a protracted negotiation. He came to the table with the Ford invoice. He circled the invoice price and said this is what we want. I looked at my wife and the look back was this was too easy. We knew their price on that car when we arrived and we were expecting to fight for near that price. Tom went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. The car is ours now 0% how can you pass that up. The car is great fun to drive, turbo so it is zippy, great gas millage so far, it looks mean in the front and the red stands out. I would have looked elsewhere but because of Tom we bought a car that I am completely happy with and a dealership I am completely happy with and a salesperson I will follow where ever he goes even if it is a Chevy dealer.

Going with one star because I can’t use a zero. Actually, I’m not really able to review the quality of service because I can never get in. Moved here 6 months ago and have tried 3 times to get an oil change. Answer’s always the same… may be able to get to you in 4 hours. Today I actually had a service issue, but no way they can see me today. I asked if they were renovating or expanding, but alas that’s not the case. Nice guy, but he told me they just have too much business.
I’ll do my part to help them with that.

Why does an oil change at a car dealership take so long. This is why dealerships constantly lose service business. Unless, it’s a warranty/​recall issue it’s terrible. You would think the service department could find a way to prioritize customers waiting over those customers who got a shuttle or a rental for the day. An oil change at jiffy lube, or the like, takes 30 minutes max. I’ve been waiting now for over 3 hours. They know I am here. This is insanity.

On a clutch repair, they installed a $ 1200 clutch in backwards. So after it starts failing a little less than 5 min off the lot, i turnthe car around. I then contacted Scott Whittington who was supposed to «take good care of me» a service salesman at Landers Ford of Collierville TN, 38 017 I was forced to leave the car with them. it took me over 2 months to get the car out of the shop, when they had to repair the vehicle a second time at my expense. i owe rental car fees upwards of $ 500 and both repairs cost me roughly $ 4000 i will tell anyone to avoid this dealership like the plauge.

In August 2014, I bought my new car here. Landers had the best overall selection of models to chose from with low to high packages. I had visited every other auto manufacturer’s dealership in MEM.
I had the best salesperson ever, Tom Scism. He let me test drive multiple types of vehicles from cross-​overs, sports cars to sedans. I drove multiple cars of the same model varying the packages. He was patient, knew everything about each vehicle as we discussed pros and cons of each, and was never the stereotypical car salesman. When I need service, he makes sure it happens on my schedule, every time.
They would get 5 stars if the service department would get everything on my first trip, and not make me come back after I catch an item wasn’t fixed to my satisfaction.
BTW, I love my car.

Their service dept sucks. I called to make a service appointment. They asked me to bring my vehicle in yeaterday. 1:30 pm. Today they still have not even looked at it and said it might be after lunch before they can look at it. Yet they are taking care of several customers who had just walked in this morning.
When I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked if they could see my vehicle next since I dropped mine off yesterday, so I should be ahead of the other customers who just walked in. They said they weren’t sure if they could do that and I would probably have to wait another 3 or 4 hours before they even look at my vehicle.
They showed no concern or desire to fix the issues. Told me they are busy and have plenty of business.
Will never come here again.

Staff was helpful during messy construction AND rain.
I was raised on Ford vehicles, my grandfather drove for and retired from Dealers Transport. But I am disappointed and irritated that everyone in the Ford system probably new about the recall issues and I was not given that info/​knowledge that might have led me to choose a different vehicle. 1 recall was bad; 2 are even worse. But I do love my car and it’s on ya’ll if it harms my family…

Came in to Service Department for a recall appointment on my 2010 Fusion. I was seen immediately. The wait for my recall adjustment was not long at all-​just enough time to return a few emails & set up some new appointments for my work week. Steve, the service manager, was extremely helpful & explained what would be done to the car. All in all a very good experience.

I bought a truck there in June and although the truck and price were satisfactory the Sales Manager David Clark treated my wife and I so poorly and with such rude disregard that I must recommend you shop elsewhere for your car needs. Just don’t shop here. I wrote a personal email to the GM of the dealership about our treatment which got exactly zero response. They make the sale and that’s all they care about apparently, contrary to what their advertising tries to say.

For my 666^th review, I wanted to do something that was somewhat out of the ordinary, like the last 24 hours of my life. My roomate was looking for a car, and I told him I would go with him for moral support. He was looking at something to replace his cobra and his jetta.
I promised him we would go in the morning, as it was Memorial Day, and I am sure something special was going on, so we went about a little after 10. And we arrived, and they had a grill set up. I was still messed up from the days before, so I just settled with water (which I had sunscreen!).
We looked and looked, and he saw a Raptor and a Mustang that caught his eye. So we took them out for a test drive. Oh yea, the Mustang GT500 was custom and had 800HP, I told him I didn’t feel like IDing his body at the morgue, so thankfully he realized NOT to get it (however, anyone looking, its a 2012 model, that is $ 30K cheaper than the one on the showroom floor– they are both badass!).
On one of the trips, I opted out of the test drive, and started to look around. A 2004 Tbird really caught my eye, as A) that was my dads dream car B) it was a baby blue I have not seen in person before, and C) a pretty decent price. But it is only a 2 seater, and I was not willing to have 2 cars (at least yet, I am still trying to settle in!). So I kept looking around.
As they were still working out a deal, I walked down to the Fusions, for shits and giggles (they are in the opposite side of the lot, in the far corner) — as that is what I currently drive. A bunch of them had these stickers for a golf tourney coming up (the St. Jude Classic, is it a big one?). I guess this Ford dealer is lending 200 of their cars for the event.
Now mind you, I came here with absolutely NO intention of buying a car. I love (d) my car that I had. Why am I speaking of it in the past tense, WTH? But spending prolonged amounts of time in the sun with no one around for a voice of reason…
The very last car I saw really, really caught my eye. It was a brand new Fusion, same color as my current one. It looked hot. Real hot. I mean like «is anyone looking so I can do awful things to you» hot. So when Hani (the salesman) came back outside, I told him I was interested in it.
By this time, they WERE STILL trying to work a deal with my buddy. At this time, I was test driving the Fusion. And holy shit, it was a nice car. And so much smarter than my last car, and myself, combined! So I decided to roll with it.
Since we were there alllll freakin day, I had to come back this morning to get my insurance transferred and the rundown of the car. So I came back at 10AM, ready to swap. And it took an extra 90 minutes. And while I was waiting, some ahole in the corner was crying how car 22 (the one I just bought) was missing from the lineup and was throwing a fit about it on the sales floor. Yea buddy, I was THAT ASSHOLE who just got that fusion? Got a problem? Go cry in the corner, where you belong!
I wanted to say something, but I just laughed. How unprofessional of him to blow up like that on the sales floor? I saw this place won «Presidential Awards» the last 13 years, but to me, that wasn’t at all in that manner.
I am at work now, but I hope they finally got my buddy in his Mustang. This place is close to home, and I am sure I will get my car serviced here, but the long and painful process and the sporadic unprofessionalism left a sour taste in my mouth. However, Hani was excellent and did not pressure us at all, I liked him a lot!

Horrible service, I had an appointment! Still waited 40 min, just to find out that they were unwilling to deal. Never go back there again.

I may come back and update this as I have a preexisting condition for Car Dealer ick. I’m the sort that feels like I’m being taken the moment I walk on the lot. I wound up at Landers because of the vehicles (namely a Ford Fusion Hybrid) that their site had listed under the «Current Inventory» tab on their website. In a mysterious twist of coincidental fate of the two models I was interested in, one car had been sold days previously and the second just that morning and they hadn’t got around to updating the site.
I was able to test drive a similar model, and they willingly let me get some highway miles via I385. The sales guy (Aaron) was otherwise knowledgeable and courteous.
I shared my displeasure about their site’s «Current Inventory» not being current at all. Within a business day, they now have corrected the site.
Landers did appear to have a better inventory than other Ford Dealers in the area. For the time being, I’m still in my Civic/​Hybrid with 181k miles.
