This review is on the New Car Sales experience. I haven’t purchased a new car since 2008, and I was quite excited at the opportunity to finally trade my car in for a new Camero. As soon as I parked, a salesman approached me before I could step out of my vehicle. I felt like a piece of meat waiting to be devoured by about 5 different salesmen who were all lined up. A young man approached me, and honestly, I was a little concerned because he looked brand new (around the age of 18 – 20). I wasn’t sure how experienced he would be. I started asking questions and telling him what I was looking for. I wasn’t impressed with his responses. He just didn’t seem to care about finding me the vehicle that had everything I was looking for. Their inventory was a little low. It was obvious that they had cleared out a lot of 2015 models recently, and the leftovers were all the bottom-​of-​the-​line base models. I took one on a test drive, and I was happy with that experience. He finally told me that he could look in the system at other dealers and see if they had one that met my specifications within a 500 mile range. He found one, and that’s when the talk turned to finances. By this time, I had already told him some of my past financial concerns. I hadn’t financed anything since I purchased my last car in 2008. I pay for everything else in cash only, so I wasn’t sure if it would be tough to quality. He assured me that it would be no problem at all. I have a great job, great income, and have been stable at my job/​location for over 5 years. This place advertises that they will get financing for people with no credit, bad credit, etc. So, I completed all the paperwork and told him the payment I wanted to stay within.
The first issue was with my trade-​in appraisal. I had already done extensive research and knew my Honda was worth about $ 6500 when sold privately, and it was valued around $ 5500 for trade-​in. They were only willing to give me $ 3500 for my vehicle. There wasn’t a comp anywhere around that justified that low number. Second issue was that they weren’t willing to negotiate the sales price of the vehicle. They were trying to sell me a 2015 model, claiming it would be much cheaper than the 2016 models on the lot; yet, I found comparable 2016 models on sale at another local dealer for the same/​lesser price. He said he would have the finance manager run some more numbers and see if they could get the price where it needed to be, around my payment range.
This is where things took a turn for the worst that I couldn’t have imagined! As he was walking towards me (after speaking to the finance manager), he told me «well, I’m going to have to send you home tonight. You won’t be buying a new car.» I was shocked, first at how he was speaking to me and second by his horrible attitude. He said that my credit score was «zero» which I knew wasn’t true. I had a credit report from Equifax that I showed him. I asked, «How can you say my credit rating is zero when the actual Equifax report shows it’s xxx?» He immediately got a bad attitude and said I as accusing him of lying. Then he took me by the finance manager’s office, and things went further downhill. Both of them had such a horrible, negative attitude, and they made it clear that they weren’t willing to help me in any way. I knew something was wrong with this situation. I’ve never in my life had an issue getting a new car or anything else. If my credit was «zero,» I wouldn’t have qualified to move into my new home, or even get a new cable/​phone line without a deposit. This is when they said, «Don’t blame me because you’re rolling in here with no credit. It’s not my fault that you have shit credit and then come in here expecting me to help you!» I was just floored!!! Then he demanded that I «get the hell out of here,» literally threw my keys at me and told me to go find my car in parking lot (which he had moved somewhere else for the appraisal). This 20 year old jerk salesman has a LOT to learn about behaving professionally and how to treat customers. Furthermore, you never really know who you’re treating that way. I have a lot of connections and word spreads fast. I will GUARANTEE that this business will lose potential future sales because of my experience. My guess is he wouldn’t have acted this way if I wasn’t a female who was there alone. He thought he was some big, tough guy abusing a woman, and I’ll make sure there are consequences. Someone else will get my business. It won’t be this place. He was just angry because the sale couldn’t go through that exact night. The finance manager said he could work something out, but he would have to make calls the next day. Of course, today’s new generation is «all about me» and they want things instantly, so this sorry excuse for a salesman was willing to lose a customer completely if it meant he couldn’t have instant gratification. I highly recommend going somewhere else! Customers should be treated with dignity and respect!

I bought a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu… Mr. Derek Dobbs was my salesperson, and he was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable and personable. He provided quick and efficient service. I will gladly recommend family and friends to consider buying their vehicles from Sunrise… and please ask for Mr. Dobbs.

Had a back blinker light blow out on our way to Memphis and this was the only local dealer. We called and the woman we talked to said we could bring it in after lunch and wait. When we got there, the service writer was surprised that she told us that. However, after discussing how bad the Phillies are this year, Mikey got our car in and after checking on some warranty issues, we were out of there before I finished my bottle of water. $ 80 was a little steep for a new bulb and installation but we wanted it done right and we were not at home where my son the Buick mechanic would have done it. Go figure.

This review is about the Body Shop area of the dealership.
I had to get some body work done after a stone wall jumped into the side of my car. From the estimate to picking up the car after all the work was done, the manager, Chuck, was great. He does like to chat, but that is part of his friendliness. I found him to be fair and honest. He also checked some other items that concerned me for no extra charge.
I’d go back if I ever were to need bodywork done again.

Overall very disappointed with the level of communication and customer service of Sunrise Chevrolet. After finding a car that I wanted, they told me to come in at 2:30 to «sign a few papers» at 2:30. I did not leave until 6:15. At 5, my salesman told me it would be «just a few more minutes». I was left alone sitting in a chair until 6:15. When I came in to get my car two days later after the paperwork went through, the receptionist looked at me like I was crazy. She then called my salesman and said he would be in in a few minutes. I waited for over an hour. Overall I am very disappointed in the customer service. Do not come here if you have any sort of a schedule.

I went to the dealership looking to buy a used car. The salesman barely let me out of the car before he was at my door asking me if there was anything he could help me with. i told him yes i was looking for a used chevrolet car. i had found a ceertain one on the site and was wondering if they still had it. well they didn’t and he showed me anorther car they had an we test drove it. all was going good until it was time for us to do the finance part. he informed me that they only had one lady that did that and she was currently with someone so we would have to just wait a little while. key word to me was a little while. well three hours later and after my salesman left me alone by myself went to lunch even though i didn’t go there until 2 that afternoon. i left. so i say obviously they do not need business if they would leave a buyer alone for THREE hours!
