Stopped while on a family vacation. Now nothing near home will compare. Selection was great, all the flavors we tried tasted fantastic and we got a lot of ice cream for a very reasonable price. We really love this place! Can we take you home with us?!?

Excellent chocolate-​dipped cone! It was crowded on Memorial Day weekend, but the line in the drive-​thru moved quickly. They even have my dog a treat so she wouldn’t feel left out. If you’re in the area, a definite place to visit on a beautiful Vermont evening.

Homemade waffle cones are by far the best I have had. No matter what you get for ice cream it’s super yummy. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

We came here after a dinner before seeing Jurassic World.
I really wanted a sundae so I got the nutty marshmallow or whatever its called. Fudge, marshmallow and peanut sundae, the problem was that I saw neither marshmallow sauce or fudge, so I asked her to put some caramel on it. They didn’t have any peanuts, so I got Oreo instead. I was expecting more and ended up a bit disappointed. I think I’ve been spoiled by the fro yo loving going on around here!
Another issue was that the service wasn’t much of anything, they just seemed to want to go home. It was 15 minutes til close so I can’t really blame them.
They certainly had a lot of options and the drive up window is a really good idea, the outside chairs are really nice along with the picnic table.
Regardless of everything the experience was good and memorable, the ice cream tasted good and that’s all you need to know!

Simply put the best ice cream in the area. Soft serve, homemade waffle cones (they don’t last long) and absolutely the best hard ice cream and flavors to choose from.

Yummy frozen treats such as ice cream, creemees, and shakes. Service is good and quick. The best part about this place is that they have a drive thru which makes it quite convenient if you’re in a hurry and don’t want to get out of your car.

The Village Scoop is just awesome in so many ways! Great soft serve and hard ice cream! Take your pick… Either way its a 5⁄5 stars!
The soft serve is my favorite part of the Scoop shop! You can do tornado’s, cones, or even in a dish! My favorite is the tornado! Its soft serve in a cup with candy toppings mixed in. My favorite is Peanut butter cups, marshmallow, and peanut butter sauce with the twist soft serve! (Chocolate and vanilla flavors) Think of the Friendly’s cyclone but A LOT better!
The few times that I have had the hard ice cream its also been very good. They make great sundaes! Or even a simple cone.
The customer service here is top notch! The lines move quickly here. So even with big parties its great! Just expect to eat outside or in your car. They have a ton of parking and chairs/​table outside to sit at! So with that being said this is my favorite place for ice cream in the summer currently and I’m a HUGE ice cream buff! They wont disappoint! I promise you!

The Village Scoop is a delicious ice cream place on Main St. in Colchester. They have soft serve ice cream, hard ice cream as well as a few hard frozen yogurt flavors and many toppings. Their ice cream is primarily Blue Bunny and Hood and there are lots of unique flavors like Milky Way, Snickers, Almond Joy, as well as the standards like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Chocolate, and Cookies and Cream. One thing to know — their portion sizes are massive — I usually get a «tot» size (their version of a kids size) and it is plenty for me!
They also have made-​to-​order custom ice cream cakes that are delicious!
