History

Established in 1990.

In 1990 Anlin Window Systems was recognized as an «Industrial Business of the Year» by the U.S. House of Representatives, sponsored by their hometown of Clovis, California and the California State Legislature. In 2000 they received the Small Business Administration’s Small Business of the Year award, with recognition by Congress and the California State Assembly. Anlin Window Systems are triple Gold Label certified by AAMA. In 1999 Anlin Window Systems moved into a brand new state of the art manufacturing facility in Clovis, California. In 2001 Anlin completely redesigned their windows and doors, setting a new standard for energy efficiency, aesthetic appeal and functionality. As a California company making products primarily for the California market, Anlin windows and doors are specially designed to meet the needs of homes in moderate to hot climates. Business Owner

Grandpa Tom Vidmar is the founder and Chief Culture Maker at Anlin Window Systems. Since his college days Grandpa Tom always had a dream to create an amazing «widget» factory. Only after serving in the Navy and a long career at the Ford Motor Company and risking his life savings did he finally achieve that dream. Tom asked his son Eric Vidmar to come alongside him and together they created the Anlin Window Systems factory. They had humble beginnings but have now grown to be the last family owned and operated large window manufacturer this side of the Rockies. The father and son have always relied on their solid core values. Together, they have created a culture of service to each and every person in their entire company. This philosophy has also greatly affected the superior quality of the products they produce. They believe every customer is a part of the Vidmar and Anlin family and they want the very best for each and every one of them, never sacrificing quality for profits.

Have installed Anlin windows in two homes over nearly 15 years through dealer American Vision Windows here in SoCal. Super-satisfied. Had a warranty issue come up (first time) and called AVW. Anlin service tech Sean Yahn was notified and showed up at our convenience, diagnosed the issue, delivered replacement product sooner than promised. Installed neat and clean. Hassle-free. Sean represents the company so well.

I was introduced to this company but they have not revealed the price. Can someone explain how much they spent to replace there windows or a window. I have several windows

Quality Windows. We replaced a few windows and sliding glass doors with one having a built-in doggie door. We worked with James and he was so patient with us. Very pleasant to work with. I was very indecisive on how I wanted my sliding doors to look and went back and forth with James. He was so gracious about it. In the end, we got what we wanted. I have one star less bc the installers forgot to caulk the top of the two outside windows and I had to ask them to redo a door trim that was done a bit sloppy. It was addressed right away.

Over a period of 11 years, I have slowly changed 15 windows including second story Bay Window and 2 Garden Windows (scaffolding required) to Anlin Windows. The quality (compared to the other leading brands), the durability have been exceptional.
However, the BEST is the service and warranty quarantees (even when out of warranty for labor)! Once when the Bay Window developed a leak due to strong upward winds, Anlin came out IN THE RAIN on the same day and fixed the problem. Currently, Sean and Jessie came out today (at 7am promptly) and replaced most of one Garden Window due to a small leak when a side window was replaced last year. The labor warranty had expired (the Bay Window was installed 11 years ago) — but they did not charge anything for the service!

I am writing on Unilocal so that I can be contacted by the owner of this company — Anlin Window Systems.
I had an installation job done in San Diego, CA. I was reading the labels taken from the windows that were installed — there are four variations in the «visible transmittance». Is this normal? Even in the same room where there are two windows one on the south wall and the other on the west wall they are next to each other forming the corner of the room; the tints seem to differ. Some are 53, 59, 49, 48; what does this mean? Is this how they were ordered by the contractor? When I questioned the window contractor on these differences his response was «I don’t know» and I would have to look it up on the internet to figure out the labels meaning. I was just sitting in one of the rooms and realized that although there are 2 windows in the corner of the apartment they seem to be different tints!
Also, I was told that the windows were custom ordered & thus I was charged more, but the windows seem to all be in different size «profiles» (someone told me it is called.) If they were all custom made should they not all be the same? There’s lots of vinyl around all the windows so I am losing lots of light and my view.
Are all of your windows custom made to order to fit exactly into the «rough opening» (also another term I think that I know the meaning of after the installation problems)? Or does the factory have the windows assembled to the closest fit with already cut glass and frames? Or were the windows simply not measured well? Was there some negotiation so he could get the windows cheaper to install by buying already put together frames/windows at the factory& not really custom ordered as I was told?
Also I read the website & looked at the video. The windows are all supposed to be inspected and cleaned before they leave the factory. My windows were installed with plastic trimmings still on the inside and outside of the window frames. This was not cleaned at the factory before being sent out and not cleaned by the contractor.
Please help! I am a very confused customer and not happy with the installation & not sure what my options are now.

After receiving a very nice email from the EVP and Mark who is the local manager, they really went out of their way to accommodate me and apologized for the poor service I got. Not only did they fix my broken window, they checked each one and made any repairs necessary. It’s too bad that one person who didn’t know what they were talking about could ruin the image of a company.

I have had many different replacement window company’s companies come to my home as I have wanted to replace my windows for 20 years and I’ve had a lot of sales people who wouldn’t leave when I told them I simply could not afford their windows. They were overstaying their welcome and people that pushed that hard clearly do not care about their customers. I am pleased to tell you that the Clearview window representative, Peter from clear view Home Energy Solutions was the most polite respectful salesman ever to come my home. Not only is Anlin one of the best rated (I did my research homework before they arrived), but I couldn’t believe how considerate Peter was on what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend. And no pressure, I haven’t even made my final decision on moving forward or not but I think I will. I’m just so impressed, I like to give credit where credit is due.

This company is the best! I purchased my kitchen and family windows from Anlin about 15 years ago.
We recently had Jesse H. and Sean Y. come out to help repair a molding issue due to bright sunlight beating on the molding for many years. Not only did they replace the part for free, but showed us how to improve the original window installation (done by a local dealer) by installing a sim, and how to clean the plastic decorative molding with a solution to rejuvenate its appearance.
Last year, when I did a remodel job, I needed to purchase a sliding glass door key lock and calling the factory they were very helpful and got the part in the mail to me very quickly.
Rock solid company — We know where we will buy our next windows from.

I personally work with almost every major window brand in the USA. Having the benefit of seeing all the options that most other vinyl window manufactures offer it is clear that in regard to most retro fit vinyl windows Anlin is the top choice. From a looks stand point but also more importunately the energy efficiency rating, making it the most efficient dual pane vinyl window on the market. This is why I chose Anlin windows for my parents house and In-laws house.

Had some parts that began to fail and filled out the «Contact Us» form on their website. Within a business day the Warranty Service Manager was in contact with me and worked to get me the parts I needed to fix my door.
His customer service skills are top-notch, he is very quick to respond via e-mail and was able to look up the hardware installed in my home even though i’m the third owner of the property since the windows/doors were installed.
I highly recommend Anlin given the excellent customer service needed for equipment installed more than a decade ago.

I had 11 Anlin windows (garden, regular, double hung) and 1 larger slider installed 10 years ago. Never had a problem with them. They look as good as the day they were installed. Love the ability to clean 2^nd floor double hung windows from inside. Huge difference in my house tempatures. Highly recommend Anlin Windows. You pay more but they last… with a lifetime warranty they can’t afford to make bad quality.

A little disclaimer here: This is really an update to my prior review. I chose to edit the first because I don’t think it is fair to Anlin after the way they handled my issue. It was basically a warranty issue that had me upset enough to write my first Unilocal review. I felt the warranty page of their website wasn’t clear about the terms of pre 2009 windows that were installed in my home. The way it was handled by one senior individual at the company left a really bad taste in my mouth. I kind of felt defeated and it was going to be one bad first Unilocal review and I would be over it.
Shortly after I was talking with John, the president of the company. He sent his son Mark and Pudge to my house and the window I had an issue with was replaced the following week. These guys went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. They even added a disclaimer to the warranty terms on the website.
Anyways, I like the windows (they seem to insulate my home really well), the warranty service was fast, and three out of the four guys I dealt with were top notch. I am still taking a star away for the first guy that prompted me to have to sign up for Unilocal

Wow! I don’t review often, but am blown away by Anlin Windows and the service they provide! Fantastic!
Here’s my story:
I emailed several weeks ago as we just bought a home with Anlin windows and two screens were missing. They clearly described how to find the part# to determine sizes needed, but one was not accessible. I got a phone call saying they would like to come out and measure for me.
Having someone come out just for two small screens sounded kind of «expensive» (especially because they are in Clovis CA and we are in El Sobrante CA) so I put off calling back, thinking i would just try Home Depot or whatever. Then I got busy and just pushed the issue lower on my priority list.
I got another message or two, and then finally a message saying they would be in the area and would I be available btw 12−1…but didn’t listen to message. At 11:59, the next day my husband IM’ed me that Chuck from Anlin was at the house. He asked if we had received the warranty from previous owner, but we explained that he was deceased. Chuck said he would order the two screens — for NO CHARGE! He said he had the original order from 2004 and it showed that the screens were missing. Who keeps records that well — 8 yrs ago? He then proceeded to fix a broken lock and a window that was having issues staying open — also for NO CHARGE!
What great service — such persistence to see that their customer was being taken care of even when I was being flakey! I am really amazed! Thanks Chuck!

As one who has worked in the window industry for 16 years, and has been to almost every major window manufacturing plant in CA, AZ, NV, UT, CO, OH, and WV, I can assure you with authority that there is none better than Anlin. The good people of Fresno/Clovis should be proud of this local regional manufacturer who often beats some of the largest national manufacturers by just being better than them at virtually every aspect of manufacturing, distribution, marketing, and service.
Here’s why they are the best:
They are one of the last family privately owned window companies on the West Coast. The employees actually care about quality and enjoy working there! They are not owned by a holding company, or private equity firm with a board of directors that are only looking at numbers. They have an owner who cares about his employees and it really shows in the loyalty and professionalism of all who work there.
They have the latest state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. For example, they are the only factory on the west coast that has a flood-fill argon gas chamber. In other words, the insulated glass is «sandwiched» (sealed) in a chamber filled with pure argon gas. The chamber actually changes size depending on the size of the glass. I have never seen this before as most companies have to poke holes in the spacer to argon fill using a timer based on the size of the sealed insulated glass unit — sometimes this can result in errors like not a completely filled SIG unit. Sounds tedious but it does make a difference for lower U-factors and getting what you paid for!
They make one the best window designs I have ever seen in the Catalina and Coronado series. Even the new budget series, Monte Verde, is a better design with better ratings than most out there.

They have the best glass package with Infinit-e Plus that gives better U-factor (winter nightime heat loss) and SHGC values (summer daytime heat gain) than most of their competitors. They use a proprietary no metal superspacer and have Neat low maintenance glass standard. Check out this website from their supplier. This stuff really does work!
They have their own tempering oven so they can make custom French swing doors (very few can say that). Their attention to detail and the quality of their product is second to none. They may not have received any national awards (they couldn’t) but I can assure you that you can not go wrong installing Anlin windows and doors in your home.
