Snappers Bar & Grill is your local spot to get the very best draft beer. We have one draft beer per day on special and a great selection of craft beer every day. Not only do we have a full bar to quench your thirst, we serve a ton of food, high-​quality meat and made-​to-​order dishes, to go right along with our drinks. A house favorite is the Elvis P, a double burger smothered with cheese, piled with bacon and served with lettuce, pickles, onions, tomatoes, and mayo. You can also never go wrong with the Blackened Chicken Salad, a bed of fresh salad under vine-​ripened pear tomatoes pureed with fresh cream.

We also have our famous Craft Beer Nights on Monday through Thursday where you can enjoy a 27 ounce mug of one of our 20 craft beers for only $ 4.00!

Joe has been in the business since he was 20 years old. He scoped out the neighborhood and saw a great opportunity in creating a unique, relaxing space with great draft beer and quality bar food. With that simple realization, Joe set out to create Snappers Bar & Grill. He enjoys serving his community at Snappers Bar & Grill where quality food and excellent service are the driving forces of his business. Joe hopes to provide you with such a positive experience that you’ll remember to return to Snappers whenever you’re looking for great drinks and a satisfying meal!

Excellent! Great place for burger and beer for lunch while traveling. So glad I saw their billboard on Hwy 51! The burger is definitely hand-​crafted and freshly made to order.

Food was excellent, service was severely lacking. I went there with two business customers for lunch and it took about 10 minutes just to get a menu. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich (which was great) with lettuce and tomato and cheddar cheese on toasted rye only to have it arrive on wheat toast with no cheese or lettuce and tomato (not to mention it taking about 20 minutes to get our food). Our original waitress didn’t come back until I got the check and I made sure she took the cheese off. When I got the bill, we had been billed for 3 sodas and I had water. At that point I just signed the check and left. Maybe they were having an off day, but I was not satisfied with the lackluster service and really no follow up from the waitress.

Great selection of draft beer to choose from, the food is excellent, and the day time bartender Sherrie does a wonderful job with the crowd. There aren’t many places to choose from in Clinton so if you’re looking for a variety of tasty sandwiches, drinks, and appetizers, Snappers is the place to go. Another great thing about the place is that the manager is often found cooking and working too. He’s always willing to help out his staff and I think that says a lot. ;)

Never eaten anything at Snappers I didn’t like. Plenty to pick from. Daily specials, fresh ground beef burgers, grilled chicken breast, ribeye sandwiches, all made behind the bar and cooked by bartender. They also have salads, chili, and plenty of appetizers to choose from. Several big screen TVs. Band nights usually draw a large crowd. Cold draft beer on tap (approx 10 varieties) to pick from.
Shout out to Sherrie she is the best bartender they got!

Ok, so Clinton, IL is not what you would call a big town. Think the sign coming in says the population is about 7,000. And my guess is that is generous. So there are not a lot of options as far as dining when you are out here. In fact this may have been the only place that was open except for McDonalds. I stopped in here to grab dinner and came away pretty happy!
The bar/​restaurant is right on the town square and I’m pretty sure they don’t often get anyone from outside the county in the bar let alone someone from as far away as California. On the downside they do allow smoking inside which is something I haven’t had to experience in a long time. But people were friendly and chatty including a guy who got t-​boned on his motorcycle a couple years ago and wanted to show me all of his scars from the accident. Ok, so maybe the patrons should have been a little less friendly.
Anyway, bartender also does the cooking and while the menu isn’t expansive, it has all your standard fare. I got a cheeseburger with curly fries and because the bartender was cooking it I could see that it was a fresh made hamburger patty… not some frozen patty that was store bought. Everything tasted great, bartender was friendly and helpful and don’t have any burger, fries and a Bud Light ran me $ 7.
As long as you aren’t expecting anything fancy, Snapper’s works for what it is!

Fun bar in Clinton, cheap drinks and (usually) friendly crowd. Gets a bit rowdy on Saturdays sometimes, but weeknights & Fridays is usually a good place to relax and have a couple drinks. Plus it’s close to the Greeks, if you feel like a change of scenery. Good burgers too.
