Description

Specialties

The pub has 6 beers on tap, others in bottles, wine by the glass or bottle, a unique menu featuring appetizers, salad, signature sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and desserts. We, also, offer a children’s menu that has become popular with the youngsters.

The Main Street Pub is a real family business. Tom and Judy McNamara are always there with their 4 kids, now young adults. They have each jumped in to become part of this new and exciting venture! Sean, with all his food service experience, has developed the menu, Jamie and Kevin help to manage the operation and the staff, and Katie has become a fabulous cook, managing the kitchen.

History

Established in 2008.

The history of the pub is short because it was opened by our family, the McNamara’s, only 2 years ago. Tom and Judy bought the general store back in october of 1989 and have been Clifton residence since 1987. The Clifton General Stores history however dates back to the civil war when clifton was a railroad stop. The building that is standing today was built in the 1930’s after a fire claimed the original building that dated back to the pre-civil war.

Meet the Manager

Sean M.

Manager

Sean has been in the foodservice arena for over 20 years. He started out flipping burgers for his father at The Clifton General Store, then went on to managing bars through college. When the time came for Sean to get a grown up job he chose to stay in the industry and become a foodservice broker. During this time Sean was able to learn the «other side of the business», mainly learning/focusing on manufacturing and distribution of foodservice products. Sean has been at The Main Street Pub full time since November of 2011.
