It’s not closed. it’s open– and they have an excellent selection of booze. Bartender whipped me up a killer Negroni. They have some super interesting beers on tap. And it’s CHEAP.

this place is awful. you don’t get any feel that you’re at a bar. even i can create a better ambience in my college dorm room for drinking. the people who perform are awful at singing and it’s actually painful to listen. also, i’ve been here three times and they always charged me twice for payments every time i went there. i’m pretty sure they’re trying to f you up on purpose — as was assumed by the server’s bitchy attitude. i give them a two star because i’ve been to a private party once in the basement and i actually had a good time. but this is all thanks to my friends who hosted the party not the tavern or the service.

I’m updating to four stars at a strange time… Let me start with the fact that I really have come to love this place wholeheartedly and really enjoy myself when I come. It’s the best close bar to come for a beer and I’ve overcome my walking fears for the most part. Whether it’s packed or like a ghost town, I love the Euc. That said, the strange time is now because I just had a completely disastrous and horrible experience here! It all began on an inconspicuous Wednesday night. There was barely a full bar and I just wanted a beer. I avoid Mi Pueblo if possible, so this worked out well. Then, everything went chaotic and WRONG, man. The two bartenders working could NOT handle the crowd and were sassing everyone who asked for something or corrected an order. I think their cycles were in sync and they both were on their«murderous mood, day 2» because I can’t think of another time that would bring out such anger. In all seriousness, the problem was communication and efficiency: 1. Incorrect order 2. 40 minutes for service after I already bought a beer? 3. 10 more minutes for my beer to come 4. Forgotten food order 5. Another 10 minutes for our fries to come out dripping in oil and barely cooked Nevertheless, I will return! I just got my Duchess badge and I plan on taking over! I love the bathroom graffiti, the weird dining area set up, the sometimes boring karaōke nights, and the packed nights when I can get service(…but I know who the good bartenders are and aren’t, so I’ll survey the bar before sitting down from now on). Hearts all around!(Except for those snotty ladies.)

Best. Wings. Ever. We happened to wander in on .39 wing day, so we enjoyed a smörgåsbord of wings, from honey mustard to sweet chili to one-of-a-kind bacon! Hot, crispy wings, flavored and spiced from mildest-mild to hottest-hot, according to a helpful scale on the menu. Friendly service and convenient location(adjacent to the campus of Case Western – the reason we were in town). Can’t speak for the nightlife, or even what the place is like when we’re not the only customers, but we’re glad we found the place and we will return.

Fellow Unilocaler H. R.‘s review is right on the money. I should just copy and paste everything she said. A friend of mine dragged me to the Euclid Tavern last night to see her friend’s band. I hadn’t been here since they reopened… so I hadn’t been since the 90’s. And it’s changed. For a minute, I was standing there staring at the stage and had a few flashbacks but then I looked around at the rest of the place and felt sad. Nothing, besides the stage, is the same. They don’t book the same kinds of bands at all, that’s for sure — they might get more business if they did. I think the last show I saw here was Earth Crisis.(No, I was not sXe). I was pretty hardcore and still am. Recognize. But seriously, that show was packed to the gills on a week night. I sincerely doubt this newer Euc packs people in at all, ever. Food offered seems to be your standard bar fare. Sliders, wings, a selection of burgers. I did not partake. I had a few beers — which reminds me, the bar staff were nice but completely inept. Not one of the three knew how to pour a beer. I didn’t go in expecting it to be anything like it was — which is why it took me this long to check it out. It’s been completely gutted. The bathrooms are like proper restaurant bathrooms — but they have graffiti now — which is awesome. I love to read stuff on bathroom walls. My favorite bit that I read last night involved one girl calling another girl ugly: «You remind me of Gary Busey.» and then someone else wrote: «I think Gary Busey’s hot.» My brother was a Case student and we used to walk here from his dorm room for shows. I’ll always have fond memories of the Euclid Tavern. I’m sad to say that I will probably never return.

please, if you are planning on going into the Euc for a trip down memory lane. don’t. i am still quite scarred from it. yep, the stage is right smack where it used to be, i took one look at it and remembered all kinds of things. i told myself that i wouldn’t get so nostalgic walking into the place and pretty much just wanted to see it again. sitting there, waiting on our food, i just wanted to walk up to the bar and find whoever was in charge and shake them. i don’t think i could have enjoyed the food once it came even if it was top notch, i was just too distracted. let me encourage some brave soul to get in there and book some decent bands, there are so many old cleveland people still around who would love to see the place in even one inch of it’s former glory.

Hey, if you’re a Case student — like I was — this place is a god send. Other than that though, its not too great of a place. I enjoy going to kareoke night and having a few beers with my friends, but that is about the extent of things.

I decided to review the Euc because, well, I should. I admit I have a lot to say and will spare you all the details but either way, here I go. The floors are new and remind me of a cafeteria. The stage is back in the original location. The bar is still long and there are remnants of the heart that once beat in the walls but honestly… it’s gone. The crowd is less local junkie and crackwhore, more college jock and Indians fan. The bands that I have seen there recently are nothing you would go see if you didn’t know the members personally(I suppose that’s why people were there.) The downstairs is no longer dingy bathroom with puke but revamped. Apparently the roof is open again in the summer, and yeah the drinks were made by newbies when I was there… didn’t even know how to make a margarita. But, he did say he was new… I don’t think that’s a good excuse either way. The Euclid Tavern was apparently stripped and rebuilt. I just wish I knew where all of the wonderful things were thrown away. I would have grabbed something.

Had it not been for ET, Shatangi would not exist. Parents met here. Whoa!!! I love to have a beer here whenever in town and listen to the latest craze in up-and-coming music from it’s origin. Shatangi told you

Definite neighborhood bar with live music and entertainment throughout the week. This place is a good place to go for a quick drink or to relax after work. It’s very cheap!

Packed in like sardines watching some local band, dancing in that weird way because everybody around you is also dancing and you can’t really not dance. I miss the Janglers from the old days. Whatever happened to Jason White and Jon Treadway?
