I’m here right now, 2nd visit, I’ve read almost all reviews and agree to disagree on most accounts. The manager and his team out do there service more so then I’ve seen here in FL. And being open in this location for nine months, I think there décor yes needs some work but what they lack they have so much more in a welcoming atmosphere. If you have a problem with your food, well… Speak up… They will more then be happy to help you. Cracking places like this online is so bad now a days because they may not be at your standards but when I go to eat I want to be welcomed and have a good meal, and this place welcomes me and my appetite. Mucho Gracias, Sr. Tequila… FYI the Mariachi band on Thursday nights are totally awesome and will serenade your loved one and in good taste make you smile and laugh.

I don’t understand the low ratings for this place. My family have dined several times here and have always had good food, attenive service and the lunch prices can’t be beat. I had the enchilada deluxe combo platter yesterday for only 6.99 and my soft drink was free. My husband tried the house made hot sauce on his enchiladas and said it was the best sauce he ever tasted. We will definitely keep coming back. My only suggestion to management woukd be to turn down the music, at least during the day when it is slow.

I didn’t understand the reviews of this place — they were either horrible or excellent. I would say that it’s between a 3 – 4. My mom’s chicken tacos were good and the ingredients fresh. My daughters nachos were pretty good and she liked them. Other daughters chicken fingers and fries were also good. I had the 3 different kinds of enchiladas but asked for queso instead of mole per another reviewer. It was good as well. We had great service. I wasn’t a fan of the thin watery taco sauce consistency salsa and the beans and rice had no flavor. Someone mentioning the 3 chandeliers was funny but that wouldn’t negate my positive experience. I think anyone who has high hopes for a restaurant in a strip mall off of the highway is perhaps expecting too much — our experience was as expected.

Going back for our third time, food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. Loved the music on Thursday nights!

Only giving it 2 stars because hubby said he will return. He loved his meal, Pollo Tequila, but mine, the Chimichanga, was a disappointment. The ambiance is lacking. There are three crystal chandeliers that look like they were left from a previous owner. The only Mexican décor was 1 sombrero on the wall. The rest were cowboy hats and peacocks. Not Mexican feeling at all. The music was pop, soft rock and other mellow tunes. Acoustics are non-existent. The place was way too loud, as mentioned in other reviews. Waiter was friendly, but app came out 3 minutes before main course. I had three chips into the guac before my meal was placed in front of me. Chimichanga was definitely a defrosted item reheated with cheese. Rice had Lima beans in it. Never saw that in any Spanish rice before. Not feeling the vibe at all. There is hope. New décor, change in music and some sound reducing fabrics would make it more authentic looking, sounding and feeling. Update: just prior to leaving, a Salena song came on.

We have eaten here twice. Had a really good experience both times. Staff if very friendly and fast. Food is really good. They put mole sauce on some dishes. I think it is really good, some may not agree. If you’re not sure about mole, order something with the queso instead. The beef and shredded chicken are both good. the chicken is better. The beef is a little bland. I have not tried the margaritas yet, perhaps next time. I recommend giving sr tequilas a try. We will definitely be back.

Both my wife and I ordered the Camarones al mojo de ajo. Supposedly shrimp sauteed in a garlic sauce. Ended up being very dry and cold. The Spanish rice was nothing to rave about. Nachos were bland. We wanted cheese dip with the nachos and they charged us $ 5.80 for a real small dish of it! Re-fried beans were okay. The waitress was nice but it was obvious with 20 people she needed another waitress to help. They took the liberty of adding 18% tip to everyone’s check. I can understand adding the tip if there is one check for the entire group but when it’s individual checks, no! Plus, when we got home we discovered an error on the bill. They had told us when ordering, buy one entrée and receive the second half off. We were charged full price for both meals. I will not return. There are too many other Mexican restaurants that are far better.

Will never go back. Alcoholic drinks were soo weak, I have had stronger virgin lemonades. Our server was very polite, however, she seemed very slow to get us things, despite the fact that the restaurant was empty. The food was very Blah. I live in the apartments behind it, I will drive 15 mins and go to Chuys Mexican Restaurant or to San Jose Mexican Restaurant If i really want some mexican food.

Has chicken burrito, rice & refried beans, ice tea. Only 1 customer, me, service fast & food came in about average time-hot, attractive & good but not Fantastic. Menu not very diverse but adequate. Chips slightly stale, salsa was bland, should have variety like Moe’s. I“l come back again in a few weeks for compariso

Great place. We had beef fajitas and some other beef dish I can not remember the name of. The service was prompt and welcoming. Piña colada was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.

I understand why this place only averages 3 stars. When we arrived(me, with my husband and a friend) for dinner, the hostess had her back to us, and when another employee motioned that customers were waiting to be seated, she shook her head and looked like she was busy doing some math at the counter instead(she had a calculator). So, a guy(not in uniform — in fact, he just looked like another customer) in shorts and a somewhat dingy t-shirt said someone would be with us. A minute later, a really friendly gal sat us. The place is lit way too bright for my tastes. I felt like I was sitting in a diner. Regardless, our server was friendly and attentive, but that menu… well, it looks much better than it is. All of our meals were average. I tried the veggie quesadillas, and I don’t think there’s ever been a time in my life that I’ve had such oily/greasy spinach. We all thought that was weird. The food overall was just«meh». There’s nothing special about this place. The food really isn’t good enough to warrant another visit, but again, the service was really friendly once we were seated.

Never again. Ordered take out tonight hoping to find a new favorite Mexican place but that’s a negative. When we arrived one of the servers had to make the host behind the counter put his phone down and pay attn, but she eventually took our order while he continued messing around in his phone. I ordered, paid and left while the food was being prepared. When I returned my food was just sitting on the counter. When I got home I discovered that they forgot the tortillas for my fajitas and my wife couldn’t even finish her food. It was beyond subpar and we probably would’ve fared better at the Taco Bell across the street.

I have eaten here twice so far. The first time was shortly after this location first opened. The first time I ate here I had carne Asada with rice and beans. The steak was amazing. It was cooked perfectly and it was seasoned perfect as well. The most recent time I ate here(tonight) I ordered the chimichanga with rice and beans. The chimichanga was amazing. The chicken was so juicy and tender and the queso sauce was excellent. So far I have not been disappointed with this location and I will continue to eat here.

To start, the bathroom was filthy. For being so empty in the place, there could’ve been some cleaning done. The drinks were weak. We had to order a shot of tequila to put in the margaritas to make them better. Food was just ok, but it was out quicker than our shot. Staff stood around chatting and eating by the hostess stand. Not worth a second try. The waitress was nice, but not enough to bring us back. Had better Mexican from a food truck!

Very good, fresh food. Best long Island I’ve had in a long time. Our server was a bit novice but the food and bar long island made up for it. Happy hour margarita not so great, but what do you expect for that price.

Great! We were greeted immediately when we entered. We were seated immediately and our server arrived with fresh chips and salsa. Our drinks came out quick. Food was delicious! Service was great. Owner/management stopped by the table and talked with us. We were very impressed especially since they are only in their 2nd week being open. Loved the fajitas! So much food. Great price/value.

Went back on Thursday night and had a great experience thanks to the management team. We had a waiter who was still a little green at waiting tables but still had a good time. She tried the taco plate and they were scrumptious. The shredded chicken was tender and juicy. The presentation of the food was beautiful with the rice shaped and a delicious avocado tomato salad. I got the chicken fajitas and they were the best fajitas that I’ve had since moving from Texas 4 years ago. They tasted great, with all the normal setups but the homemade tortillas were amazing. We had the opportunity to try the chili con queso and it was the best we’ve ever had. The gooey cheese and spicy heat was overwhelming great. My only complaint is I can’t get enough of their sweet tea. Each time I am there I drink 5 – 6 glasses, maybe next time I’ll ask for a pitcher of tea. This place is definitely our new favorite hot spot and we will be going back.
