they are closed down and have been for about 3 months so sad :(

Total dive bar with a cheesy jungle theme, but I love dive bars so this works. Was there on a Sunday watching the Blackhawks lose and they had the game on a great big screen, so that made me happy. They also had a poker game going on — hold em, not for money but for a gift certificate for the bar — still pretty cool. Bartender was very friendly and attentive and people watching was very interesting, to say the least. They have dartboards, karaōke some days and a decent outdoor patio. Didn’t get to try the food though. Maybe next time because I’ll definitely be back. The only drawback is a very weak draft beer selection — only four different kinds, two of which are Bud and Bud Light. But somehow I don’t think the clientele are the craft beer types. Still a great place though.

Bad experience… really bad. Went to this place armed w/a coupon and having researched it on the web even though their website is not active. After waiting a couple of minutes at their outdoor patio, I went in to find a waitress. Asking for a menu, she says«for food?» «Uh yeah», I said with a smile. «They’re at the bar» she responds. A few minutes later she, looking at someone else says«you know what you want to drink yet?» Asking if she was talking to us, she says«yeah». Trying to figure out what her trip was my wife says«two ginger ales please». She brings back one that is flat and seemingly watered down. After taking sips, my wife notices the lipstick marks on the glass. Just then, she walks up to the two guys next to us with a bottle opener and says«I told you not to hold the f*****g bottles». With that, we’re out of this place where I would definitely not want to use their bathroom.

Great food, considering it’s a bar. Quesadilla and garlic knots are my personal favorites. Full bar and cold beers, so you can’t go wrong with a couple drinks here. Classic dark, hole in the wall. Bartenders are different every time I come in, but the people sitting at the bar are always the same.
