This is a motel but a five star motel for certain. We have stayed at the«Ritz Resort» twice. The actual name that shows up on your credit card will be Magnusen I believe. We came down for business and rather than get a $ 130/night hotel inland we found this gem for $ 85/night. We didn’t have high expectations because we thought this deal would be too good to be true. It is right across the street from the beach and within walking distance to all the best of the Clearwater Beach restaurants, attractions, etc. We have only stayed on the first level(street level) in their apartment style rooms. You get a bedroom, FULL kitchen and bathroom. They also have flat screen televisions. The room’s furniture is a little outdated but the rooms are spotlessly clean. I imagine that this is what all of old Florida used to be before the chains and new resorts took over. The pool is a very nice size and also impeccably maintained. Probably the best part of this place however is the amazingly awesome and sweet woman who runs it. We have already told lots of other business people to try this place out and they have and love it too. You will not be disappointed here. It is a true gem.

It’s actually called another name, it just says ritz in the room key. I didn’t realize that when I originally checked in. I orbitzed the area in clear water florida and couldn’t get a hotel for less than $ 200. While driving to the cheapest hotel we saw this place and I didn’t remember seeing it on the orbitz page. It’s across the street from the beach with a nice view. I decided to check the rates and found it to only be $ 100 for the night which was AwESOME! We snagged the room and used the savings for beers. The hotel is like a motel 6, but independently owned. The room is actually bigger than Motel 6 with a few extra things. The furniture was old and shitty, the place smelled like mildew as all cheap hotels do. The soap was cheap. However i feel like this place gave a ton of value for sooooo cheap. The price was half and the hotel was just a place to crash after the bars where I was spending most of my time anyways. My friend who came with me also happened to be a bed bug expert and showed me how/where to see if your bed has bed bugs. This place was clean… If you want to get a cheap place to crash in Clearwater, this is the place! I give high recommendations.

I really cant say much I was not the one staying here but it was a very affordable price right on the beach down from Shephards and it had a pool. lol

I don’t disagree with the positive points made in other reviews, but I think they are over-generous in their ratings. The Ritz has a great on-the-beach location, though every place in Clearwater Beach is only a 90 second walk from the water. The accomodations are okay, looking a step above the«beach shabby» smaller motels tucked into island’s side streets; if you are looking for a bargain, you don’t want to go cheaper than this. If minor details(broken TV remote, a questionable elevator, tiny soap, flaky wifi) aggravate you, you might want to look elsewhere. But this is a clean, comfortable bargain — 3 stars.

What a great deal! We went around to all the hotels and this was the only one left on the beachfront that had rooms available, and boy am I glad about that! Instead of paying a couple hundred for a room, their price ranges were $ 85-$ 95 a night. Centrally located, it’s steps from the beach! Very quite! The only thing I didn’t like were the beds… They were hard as a rock, besides that, everything else went smooth. We’re so glad to have had that happen, because we got to spend the money on better things… Like the Dinner Cruise on the intercoastal… HIgly recommended!
