Love house of Wong. The food is great. And love the delivery. Although I did like the other location better to dine inside, at least I can still get it to go.

The service was terrible, the older lady behind the register was extremely rude. The only reason I managed to give three stars? The food was decent(at best), worthy of at least the three stars. Thank goodness it was a Groupon trip!

We came here after getting a livingsocial coupon. Having the right expectations before going is important. The food served is mostly similar to your regular americanised chinese restaurants, but with a few more«pan-asian» dishes, including vietnamese phở, cambodian noodles, singapore street noodles and pad thai. We started with a thai mango salad and for entrees got the egg foo young with shrimp and the chicken pad thai. The mango was fresh and sweet but the greens it came on were a little tough. The pad thai was ok, and the egg foo young only had a total of 5 baby shrimp, and it was drowned in a heavy starchy nondescript brown sauce. The tables were strangely arranged with only 3 inches separating one table from the next. The décor was a little more modern than the traditional americanised asian places. The food was probably a slightly overpriced for the quality(maybe by $ 2 – 3), but that may be because it’s in Clayton. We’re glad we tried it with a livingsocial coupon and didn’t have to pay full price.

Ordered delivery– delivery very fast. Food not so good. Ordered sweet and sour chicken for my daughter and the sauce was on the chicken and not on the side. I was very disappointed. My daughter is young and does not like the sauce. I usually order it because it usually comes on the side. Then we use the sauce for the crab ragoon and egg rolls. I did not specify so that’s my fault for assuming. The crab ragoon and pork egg roll was very good. The crispy chicken was also good and sauce was on the chicken so it wasn’t very crispy. It’s kind of similar to sesame chicken. Then I ordered my favorite Chinese food item beef lomein. The noodles were good but the beef was dry had no flavor. There are many other places to try in U City so I won’t be going back here anytime soon. I’ll keep you posted!

First time at the new location. It was really hot in there… I think it was cooler outside! The staff was cordial, and that is about it. We ordered veggie egg rolls, beef egg foo yung, Kung Pao beef, and Szechuan chicken, all with brown rice. When we ordered, we were the only ones in the place. Soon, other people came in and ordered. The yelling and laughing in the kitchen was quite loud, so I wondered how much cooking was actually being done. We got our egg rolls 20 minutes later, after the other people who came in after us were served. I guess they forgot about our order. My egg roll was hot, but the inside was extremely dry. My husband got one that was dripping with grease, even had drops of yellow grease on the plate! They were served with a cloyingly sweet corn syrupy red sauce. No hot mustard in sight, and the server disappeared before we could ask for some. Then the young woman that took our order brought us the wrong food, so we had another wait. When we finally got our food, it was hot and it all tasted very good, especially the Kung Pao beef. I am not sure if we will return because of the unfriendly and awful service and the heat in the place, not to mention the partying going on in the kitchen. What a shame, since the food tasted good. Maybe carry-out if we ever try it again.

Got delivery today to my hotel, can’t believe how quickly it arrived! Loved the won ton soup, as well as the Wong’s Hot chicken. I also got an order of shrimp Phnom-Penh, very tasty. I’ll be sure to order from here again!

I have dined at the Olive location once in the past and had previously been a regular at their old Clayton location, so it’s no surprise that I keep coming back despite moving over just a block. The new location is smaller, with a heavy focus on carry out. Seating is limited, and can get rather crowded during peak hours. Luckily, there are 3 tables outside for those cooler days! The food here is your typical Americanized Chinese food, however I will typically start off with a soup, both the Egg Drop and Wonton Soup are pretty tasty. If dining with a group we will usually start off with Crab Rangoon, which are pretty tasty themselves. For my entrée I usually stick with Wong’s Hot Chicken, however another great entrée is the Crispy Steak of Chicken, it’s delicious! I have tried a number of items on the menu and never had a bad meal. I recommend giving House of Wong a chance, I doubt you will be disappointed.

The restaurant has a bad smell when we walked it and that should have been our first clue. The won ton soup was ok at best, the crab Rangoon was was not that great, the mango salad was the worst salad I ever ate, and the hot chicken was just ok(or maybe I was just hungry by then). Been there before but will never go back.

I would have given this 4 stars for the food, but dining in, it gets 3. So for the good part; the food was delicious! I got a curry with shrimp and the vegetables were fresh, the shrimp were plump and well cooked and the sauce was perfect. I got pork potstickers and the filling was generous and nicely cooked. For the not so great part; it felt like a sauna inside with no air moving at all. I was getting ready to beg for a little air and they saw me fanning and did give me some short relief before things returned to extremely warm. The waitress wasn’t friendly at all and nobody welcomed us when we came in. The atmosphere is definitely like a take out Chinese place so if you’re looking for any atmosphere, this isn’t it. Wouldn’t go there again for dine in but if I lived here, I would definitely order take out.

Ordered delivery fairly frequently, and they’ve been consistently on time, courteous, and accurate. They offer some interesting southeast asian soups, fish, and pad thai. The chinese dishes are pretty average. Honestly, I think the kung pao chicken at panda express is better. Overall, a decent place to order from with consistent quality.

Love this place as our go-to Chinese spot. The crab rangoon is great and the Wong’s Hot Chicken is fabulous– ask for all white meat– it has great flavor and lots of chicken, not just batter and chicken fat. Very nice employees and I like their new location.

I don’t normally take the time to review an eatery unless it is either exceptional or terrible. Unfortunately this case is the latter. The best part of my meal was the tea, which was not even that good. I had veg. egg rolls, pork pot sticker, sesame chicken and mongolian beef. First I should mention that a woman who worked there stood at the counter and stared at me the whole time I was eating, very discomforting. The pot stickers were simply awful. They tasted as if they were made from the raw dough, then they fried the bottom while the top remained raw and gummy. The sauce was no better being overwhelmingly vinagery. The egg roll was a warehouse purchase, slightly greasy and flavorless. The sesame chicken was the really strange one. It consisted of about 10 pieces or chunks of breaded and fried white meat. They were so large you have to cut each one several times with a knife, which was not easy considering they were very overcooked and tough. The sauce was too sweet and gummy. The Mongolian beef was a total disappointment. The onions, which were mainly white onions with just a smattering of green onions were practically raw. The beef was tender and nice, but the sauce again was awful. It was basically soy and vinegar again, just strange and very lackluster for a dish that should be a very subtle combination of beef, onions, sugar, soy, and rice noodles(which by the way were absent). I hope this will save you money and time wasted. I will never return to this restaurant, and would never recommend it to anyone.
