JJ’s Mutt Hutt

By far the best groomer in the area! Does a super job and is very caring with my dog-​child. Plus, she lives on what looks like a farm, so there are horses and goats around. Pretty unique!

Really would give no stars. We had a awful experience with boarding and grooming at JJ’s Mutt Hut. Our well behaved, easy going diabetic 8 year old dog stayed a week there. When I picked him up JJ showed me the severe puncture wounds that Chief had. She wasn’t sure how it happened thinking that it happened the first night that he was there because she found him on the other side of the fence. The one puncture wound was very deep, swollen, red and inflamed. We were not called when she found the injuries. I immediately took him to the vet. The vet was surprised, worried that it was possibly 6 day old wounds. With Chief being diabetic it was not good that the site looked so bad. He was put on antibiotics, and pain medicine. The next 4 or 5 days he was not eating as well as he did before the stay. JJ informed me that she had mixed wet food with his food that I had given her (the food I gave her was prescription food), so that he would eat it faster so she could give him his shot a half hour after he ate. She never got permission to add the wet food from us. Thank goodness hair grows, because she cut it a lot shorter than I had requested. We were more concerned about his injuries but feel he got a hack job of a hair cut. Lastly, left his leash there she said she would mail it, even though I said I would swing by a pick it up, never received it and now says she’s not responsible for items left.

My mom had to have her at shaved and I thought about the horrible experience I have had just getting my dogs nails trimmed at Petco! Thankfully I had heard of JJs and she was able to get in. He looks and smells wonderful! Such an over all professional (and very reasonably priced!) experience!

I decided to support a local business and took my Miniature Schnauzer to JJ’s Mutt Hutt for grooming. I dropped her off and returned to a happy & beautiful doggy girl! Jeanine does everything at a reasonable cost, too. Since then, I’ve also boarded Chloe for the weekend and had her groomed again while she was there. Again, beautiful results and a happy girl! :)
