Roberta is amazing. I was referred to her because she was willing to come in on a weekend to do my hair when no on was in the salon. She is very good at what she does. Yes, the haircut takes longer than any other place but I chalk that up to the fact that Roberta is very precise in what she does. She makes sure the cut is perfect. I also love the fact that if she doesn’t think that the cut or style you are interested in will go with your face shape, she will tell you.

First and Last time I will ever visit this salon. Although Roberta is friendly, I did not like the fact she took almost 4 hours to do my hair. My hair was not long to begin with. She bragged about being a hair doctor but the finished result would prove otherwise. She appeared to get frustrated with me when I specifically asked for layers… plain and simple. And reiterated that she should be charging $ 700 for a hair cut! First of all, her salon is not in Malibu or Beverly Hills. Secondly, she does not have Celebrity clientele. Will Not Be Returning.

I’ve been coming to Stephie’s for over 5 years now and have always left wearing a sharp do and a smile. Roberta is friendly, insightful and a MASTER HAIRSTYLIST. She takes her craft seriously and is very knowledgeable about all aspects of hair, knowing what questions to ask or what to suggest to make sure you have the exact style you’re looking for. The ladies in my family use Stephie’s as their go-​to for any dye-​job or special occasion (wedding, etc.). Furthermore, the cozy location and warm customer service make me feel more like family than a customer when I’m there. As others have said, I won’t trust anyone else with my hair.

I’ve come here twice and both times I was beyond happy with my hair. The first time was to get an up-​do for an event and it looked even better than the picture of Jessica Alba I had showed Roberta as inspiration. The 2^nd time was for a cut and color and I have never been so pleased with the final results. I’m sad that I had to move out of CA after finally finding somewhere that I loved!

Worst customer service ever. Rude, don’t treat customers well. On top of that do not know how to cut hair. DO NOT GO THERE!

The first thing i thought when i walked into this salon was «wow, its so cozy… kind of feels like home» Roberta, the goddess of color, was very sweet and welcoming! She made the whole experience so comfortable, it felt as if i had known her for years! Reason #1 of why i love this salon: she tells it like it is. She gives great advice on what color and style would look great on you but in the end lets you make your own decision! Reason #2: she is all about the health of your hair! There are many stylists out there who dont care whether you lose your hair or not! She is DEFINITELY not one of them! Reason #3: she can blowdry! My hair is very fine and she made it look likei had tons of hair! I couldnt believe how great it looked! Reason #4: She knows her stuff! This may sound repetitive but she knows what she is doing and shows you that confidence that has lead her this far! I ended up doing an ombré with my hair and got some layers and beautiful bangs. which reminded me alot of Kourtney Kardashians! I was not disappointed what so ever! I highly recommend coming in to see Roberta… like she says «Its like a Beverly Hills salon with Claremont prices!»

I’m thrilled I finally found a Beauty Salon that knows what I want, I went in there feeling frumpy and plain, I came out with a spunky short haircut and going back on the weekend for highlites!!! The owner Roberta comes from a family of hairdressers, she explains everything to you, I came out of this place feeling 10 years younger. Thank you Roberta, I found my new salon!!!

This is one of Claremont’s hidden gems. This has been my go-​to place for about 3 years and I haven’t been disappointed yet! Roberta is the Queen of Color! She takes her time to consult and educate you prior to getting started, and she’s VERY knowledgeable. She knows what will look great on you and also makes sure your hair most importantly healthy! (not fried). I came to Roberta after a really bad dye job at a different salon and Roberta was able to strip my hair of all the gunk and plasticky residue (you could actually see gunk come off in the sink, blehh) and my hair was unbelievably soft and healthy afterwards! Go see Roberta! Like the other Unilocaler was saying, it’s very affordable! I believe my haircuts are $ 30, color is $ 60.

I had the pleasure of meeting the crew at Stephie’s through a friend who has been going there for years. Roberta and her team are so wonderful, knowledgeable and welcoming. I went in to get my hair colored and a haircut, and I love to get a stylist’s thoughts on what would look best on me. Most don’t have a clue. Roberta took the time to go over colors with me that would look best with my skin tone, and a cut (I have really short hair) that was sassy, fun, but yet at the same time feminine. I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks, with a funky and sassy cut, and a beautiful color. Roberta took the time with me, and made sure I was happy with the cut, color, and style.
