Found an add on Craigslist for Sterling Point I called to schedule an appointment and spoke with Yasmin. she gave me the rates She scheduled me an appointment with Nathan, When I got there he was already waiting for me. He went over the qualifications and even the fact that I can hold a unit with a deposit when I apply. He was very informative and took me around the property and showed me their model home.

its a old scam, do as little work as possible because most people wont complain and they dont know the law. stop slacking off !
stop saying your sorry and just do your job the right way the first time. fix it the first time not the 5 th time. and you wont look so bad.
if your renting from them read the link below for the laws. protect yourself from shoddy management such as this.

Been renting in the Sacramento region. I was always told property management was a nightmare but they are great property management and maintenance staff!

Have you ever had the felling that you were not really wanted? I had found a property which my boyfriend and I wanted to rent. After calling the listing agent and leaving a voicemail with no return phone call, I set up an appointment to see the property through an exchange of emails. When we visited the property, the agent that was there was not the agent for the property. She was cold, unfriendly and unknowledgeable about the property I asked about yard service, she didn’t know, I asked about a pet deposit, she didn’t know. She didn’t ask any questions of us, not even our names. I was apprehensive because of the cold behavior of the agent, but I knew I was into renting a home, not creating a relationship with an agent. I turned in my application as soon as I could and actually met the listing agent who shares an office with the lady who showed us the property, and she was nice, and the lady who showed us the property somehow was now warm and friendly. The next day, I got a phone call that we did not get the property. I work nights, and she called me bright and early in the morning. I’m not too receptive who being woken up in the middle of my sleep. After finding out I did not get the property, I emailed her asking if I could apply just myself and not my cosignor, as he was the reason why did not get it. I asked her if the property was already rented to someone else if she could keep me in mind for future properties she might have. There was no response back. I don’t mind not getting the property, but I thought if you build a relationship with your clients, it helps your business. This place seems to prejudge their clients, and feels superior by having the power to approve or deny someone based on their credit guidelines. I feel offended by this representatives of this company and will think twice when looking for a rental in which they are the property owners.

IN VALLEJO… I would advise everyone to AVOID this property management company. They are misleading, rarely answers the phones, and will easily blacklist you over one complaint. You will not know anything until you’re locked into a lease with them. My roommate and I are getting a complete run-​around and is uncovering their lies and discrimination. We would welcome them to discuss this and work this out, but they rather kick us out, keep our deposit and reel in the next sucker. BEWARE…

You have to give credit where credit is due. I did not agree with a decision that was made by LeFever so I wrote out my concerns and presented them to Management. Within a day they responded and we came to an agreement.
No place is all good, but no place is all bad either. I don’t take anything away from those of you who gave bad reviews, but I will say in LeFevers favor that they were reasonable in my case.
I will also caution readers to keep in mind that people will respond in anger quicker than they will in kindness. If a company that manages hundreds of units only gets a minimum number of negative responses they are doing something right.

and fyi mark the new community director knew of previous conversations because i thanked her and told her no one would listen to me! so please dont use anyone else in your unprofessionalism! the people who solved and seen the issue was a real error are people that need to take your place!

I rented a beautiful condo from Lefever Mattson for 9 years. My maintenance needs were taken care of (Joe helped with them a lot, he’s very nice). Rick T. was our liason and he was friendly and easy to talk to. They manage a lot of properties and have to set standards and have rules and some people don’t like that. Well, that’s how they «manage» things to keep properties nice for the property owners.
I grew concerned about my $ 1800 deposit when I received a very detailed list of cleaning expectations. I had heard second hand of someone’s bad outcome, and read a bad story on the Better Business Bureau website. I hired some cleaning ladies to help with the stuff I couldn’t get to, and had the carpet cleaned, $ 340. Even though it was clean, it wasn’t move in ready and certainly not as beautiful as when I moved in. I knew there would be $ deducted, just didn’t know how much or little. I scheduled a move out walk thru on my last day knowing I would not be able to clean anymore or fix anything. Brian did the walk thru (another very nice man). I showed him things that were in disrepair (that were to be done after move out per my agreement with LF) and he carried his clipboard, walked around and looked. I knew I did the best that I could, and now I would wait.
Well, I was pleasantly surprised when I received $ 1500 back. They did not take more than was needed, or more than was fair. They used some of the deposit to fix up and clean, and returned the rest. They did not «cheat me» as claimed by others.
Treat their rentals with respect, and LF will treat you in kind.

In searching on Craigslist I found a property that fit my budget & my family needs — I responded to the email and received a response stating the property was no longer available & the ad would be removed immediately. Today as I continue my search for a home for my children & I yes you are correct I see this same property with a new ad stating in big bold letters property does not accept section 8 vouchers. I suppose due to my name & possible face on my email it was an assumption/​stereotype that I have this assistance program… Unfortunately my taxes taken from both of my jobs assist with the payment of those in need. Never judge a book by the cover!!! I have sent another email because I would not have to take my kids out of their schools. Maybe this will have a better outcome.
