All About Pets

Was there this morning to get my dogs nails ground down. They took him in quickly which was nice but they didn’t do that great of a job and when I got home I noticed that he’s actually bleeding from one the nails.

I really love this place. I have a small family member that just happens to be a toad. He has been with us for four years and always in great health. Last week I noticed weird symptoms, and I really thought he might die (he had completely stopped eating and was having spasms). I was worried that I’d have a difficult time finding a vet that treats amphibians/​reptiles. I realize some people reading this may think «Seriously, a toad?», but he his family and we had to help our little guy. It is heartbreaking to watch anything suffer or be in pain, and he looked like he was really hurting. I feel lucky to have found Dr. Zucca. She was incredibly knowledgeable and was also very kind. I really love this lady. The staff and techs were amazing. Five stars for great customer service. They were very friendly and made us feel comfortable. Toad received injections during his visit and we are also giving him meds at home. I have to say, he can move his legs normally again and he finally ate his first meal in over a week! Sir Hemingway Toadsworth III would like to send love and gratitude to everyone at All About Pets for being so friendly and for saving his life! We can’t thank you enough. One last note, if you have a reptile or amphibian and need a vet, I would recommend going here.

I just took my two baby rats over to visit dr. Wood (something). She was great! very down to earth, seemed to really care about small animals, and even clipped their nails for me. I have been to much nicer looking places, but the price is right and the Doctors seem as good as any. I think I might bring my cat here moving forward, as I wasn’t much of a fan of the last vet. Definitely a no frills place, but worth a visit!

Always go with your first instinct. This place is AWFUL! The staff could use some serious customer service training. The last appt I had there was at 10:30, we sat in the lobby from 10:25 to 11:05 and finally walked out. No one said they were running behind, or sorry for the wait or anything. Then they had the nerve to call me more than an hour after our scheduled appt time to say they were ready to see us. Not to mention every time I call, I’m put on hold for 10 minutes or more. No amount of calls from this place could ever get me to go back. EVER!

I’ve known Dr. Zucca for years and really trust her! This time my precious Queen Ariel saw Dr Bradley for a hurt knee! Looks like surgery but she was amazing!

I love, love, love Dr. Zucca. I have a cat with a longstanding problem of Idiopathic Hemmoragic Cystitus. (Sp?) She has painful, bloody pee and once the inflammation starts she’s just miserable. I went to All About Pets for a second opinion and possible other options. Dr. Z suggested kitty acupuncture as well as an herbal remedy and a western medicine for spasms. If I could give them an award I would. My cat is instantly better — not cured but so much better it’s unbelievable.
Dr. Zucca trained at UC Davis. She is smart, kind, and loves animals. It’s a bit of a drive for me as I live in South Sacramento but it’s worth it. Thank you!

If I could give them zero stars I would. I paid 800 dollars for them to let someone new try to put in IV in my dog. They thought that I had left. I listened to my dog cry for two min until the girl at the front desk went back to tell them I was still out front. Then they brought me my dog and told me they were sorry that someone new had a hard time with the IV. If you want your dog to be a test dummy this is the place. They are horrible!!!

Love this place and so does my dog! The front desk girls are awesome and always willing to help. Had to bring my dog in the morning I was leaving on vacation without an appt and they were so accommodating! I really love Dr. Zucca :)

When I first brought my dog here I was nervous about the fact that All About Pets is located in a run down looking strip mall (hence the one star deduction) however once I stepped inside and met the staff I felt much more comfortable. Ever since that day my both of my Boston Terriers have been coming here and have received great care, attention, and accommodation. I am really impressed with the staff, especially Tameka at the front desk who is really knowledgeable.
The prices for spay and neuter are less expensive than anywhere else I have looked, and All About Pets does not try to sell you different packages, and extras unless it’s really necessary. For example, blood samples prior to spay/​neuter are really only necessary for older animals or those with medical conditions. At petco and petsmart it seems to be mandatory (and very expensive) prior to surgery.
I am the biggest worrier ever when it comes to my dogs because they truly are my babies. I feel that they are in good hands here. I would highly recommend All About Pets!

We have been coming to All About Pets for 25 years. Dr. Zucca and her staff have always treated our animals with special, loving care. We recommend them for anyone wants the best for their furry kids.

I have been going to All About Pets for 14 years now. Dr. Zucca and staff have been like family and have only offered the best of care. I want to thank them personally for being there when the I had to put my best friend and constant companion Honey Girl down yesterday. Dr. Zucca and one of my Honey’s favorite techs were with me the whole time as she transitioned to a pain free life. I know that after I left in tears, she was in the best hands of people who truly care. Thank you for 14 wonderful years of wonderful care.

I am so grateful that I had found this place after trying to get my dachshunds’ nails done. Another place would put him under because he is so sensitive. When I first started coming here, I explained his nervousness and that he needed to be held when they do the nails, and they said no problem, come in. I go there on Mondays (when it’s less busy) and pop him right in and $ 8! The other place cost me $ 65!
Now, he has a skin infection, so they fixed him up and I really like that the outline everything on the bill and you can opt out of something if you can’t afford it.
Luckily, I have the Care Credit so I make payments and no interest if paid in full by the date. I really, really love this place, you can tell they love the animals and are patient and honestly. the prices are very low if you compare them.

Waiting for over 35 minutes just to buy some Advantage! Ridiculous. It took them almost 15 minutes to even acknowledge me. I even wrote this review while waiting! They barely apologized (but only after I asked what was taking so long). And they seemed to have no problem taking their sweet time. Absolutely some of the worst customer service I’ve had in a long time. I will NEVER be coming back here.

This place is wonderful! I take my 3 dogs here for everything and they are always very good with my babies. I never have to wait long for a appt. I had to take my husky in for a emergency and they were waiting for her when I brought her in and rushed her back and kept me updated the whole time. They never push me into doing anything I feel my dogs may not need. I would recommend them to anyone for the vet part or grooming. :)

I have be bringing both my cats here for over 5 years. They are always very nice and helpful, I would recommend them highly!
Don’t let the area discourage you, they really do have excellent care and service.

I took my miniature dachshund and my neighbor’s Italian Greyhound to All About Pets to get neutered on October 3^rd. They called us the day before our appointment to remind us about the appointment and about pre-​op instructions. That was nice, since the dogs couldn’t eat after 8pm the previous night.
We arrived a few minutes before they opened, they promptly unlocked the doors on time. We were immediately greeted by 3 very friendly gals at the front desk. They weighed each dog, took our paperwork and cheerfully answered our questions. Our dogs are our babies, so once we left and went home we were on pins and needles all day. At 5pm we went back to pick up our dogs. We only waited about 10 minutes before they brought them both out wearing e-​collars. After paying for e-​collars and some pain meds, we got full after care instructions from the vet tech. She was very helpful and thorough in explaining everything.
A week and a half later, I’m happy to say that both dogs did great, had no problems at all. Their stitches are healing nicely. They’re both back to their normal playful selves. We had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend All About Pets to other pet owners.

I first came to All About Pets when I was brand new to the area. The shelter I adopted my cat from highly recommended this facility. My poor kitty had a shelter-​acquired upper respiratory infection (hadn’t known this upon adoption) and became very ill. I had just started a new job and was highly stressed and had limited finances.
Let’s just say Dr. Zucca is a true lover of animals and a genuinely sweet and honest person. She went out of her way to make this work for me financially and was honest and sensitive in how she explained LuLu’s condition (which was not good.) In the week I had LuLu I had already grown very attached to her and was very tearful and upset. I left LuLu in her care for about 4 days as she was very critically ill.
When I came to get my cat, she looked absolutely beautiful and actually reached for me! She was 100% better and full of beans, playful and affectionate. I couldn’t have been more happy with the service we recieved.
My little Boston Terrier loves Dr Bradley and her groomer, Elizabeth. She’s high-​strung and tends to stess easily so this means a lot. She has had some health issues and a surgery which could have ended up being very expensive. I was actually out of town a few times when she needed vet care and it ended up being much more expensive. I’m a frugal person and am very satisfied with the affordability of All About Pets versus other facilities I’ve used.
I have been loyal to All About Pets as a result for almost 10 years now, and have never been dissatisfied with my service here for all 3 of my pets. The office is old and can get crowded and stuffy at times, but for the care my pets recieve from the vets, staff and groomers it’s totally worth it.

Dr. Zucca and her fabulous staff have been taking care of my birds for the last decade. I made the mistake and took my bird to another so called avian vet and almost lost my bird. She is the only one I now trust with my crazy flock. They also have grooming onsite that are wonderful when it comes to over dramatic Chow Chows.

I took my dog here a couple weeks ago for a full groom and I couldn’t be happier! I have a maltese poodle and have always been told that he has been on the skiddish side, making it difficult to groom him. I have taken him to other groomer in the areas, and when I pick him up they charge me extra for «stubborn behavior» or overtime. All about Pets was able to wash, shave, style, clip nails and brush his teeth for about $ 40 and all under 2 hours. Thats at least $ 20 cheaper than the last place I went to. Plus! They said that he was on his best behavior, he just needed to be pet for a little while before his wash and he was fine after that.
Also, I had brought in the wrong paperwork for my dog’s vaccinations, and they were kind enough to call my vet to find out if he was up to date. Otherwise, they said they were able to give him his shots right then and there if he needed them. His shots ended up being to date, but it’s nice to know that I had the option if I needed it.
