Performance Lexus

This just isn’t the same Lexus dealership that it once was. The service department is still A+ in my book though. Very recently we went into the dealership to trade in our 2008 and 2009 Rx and Lx for new vehicles and expected the same level of service we had become accustomed to when Dave Reeve ran things. Unfortunately, things change. We ended up going with Mercedes which was our preferred brand before meeting Mr Reeve. Oh well,

My service sales associate was nice, accommodating and professional. Based off this interaction I would like to return with my business. Simply, took the car in for basic service and they found basic service to do and charge me… pretty sure that is the name of the game. Not necessarily disappointed with the additional charges and suggested work except that the two small things I asked them to look at they did not… however, they identified another small issue that obviously took a lot more time to identify so how did you miss the two things I pointed out. If I cannot trust you to take care of the things I bring the car in how can I trust your overall body of work. I would probably come back but if I encountered the same thing again probably not. As for the Lexus brand. love it… has been dependable, reliable, comfortable and I enjoy the sophisticated ride.

Very frustrated with Lexus. We scheduled an appointment for service when we arrived they thought it was our 100,000 mile service our car is less than a year old. they promised us a loaner car when we arrived they stated they ran out of loaner cars. Why promised us a loaner car if you’re not going to have one? So they sent us to a rental place to get a car. The rental place and stated we need to bring the car back with the same amount of gas or will be charged. I was asked to write my number down so they could call me when I was ready. If they call me? No they did not call me. Instead they called my husband Who was busy working.

Beautiful building, their front desk staff could really use some work. The girl at the front desk acted as if we were somehow offending her by walking in the door, and we were basically left to our own devices while other people were helped instead.
Quite off putting, as we were ready to make a purchase.
We will not be back.

I would be very cautious shopping here. Recently I test drove an IS 250 and I was ready to buy. I made an offer on the car and they accepted. I submitted my credit application and thought I was going to be driving a new Lexus home at the end of the day. When they went to put the closing paperwork together, the numbers suddenly did not add up for them and they could not do the deal. They said that they misinterpreted my offer to think that I had offered them MORE than the sticker on the car. After I explained that, they agreed that the price they were working with was an increase over the sticker and made me another offer that was still thousands over the amount they initially agreed to. They either did misinterpret my offer and wanted to take advantage of me making a simple mathematical error or were trying a bait and switch tactic. My gut feeling is that it was a bait and switch tactic. I would not have expected this from a luxury car dealership, but they are still car salesmen!

I had made an appointment to look at a car in advance, and when I walked in, the man who greeted me asked if I needed any help to which I responded I had scheduled a test drive with someone earlier. He then proceeded to say okay and then stare at me for what felt like eternity. I said the guy’s name I had talked to earlier, and then he said okay and stared at me again. It was probably one of the most awkward interactions I had out of all the dealerships I went to. I finally told him exactly what car it was, and we proceeded to go outside to look for it. He couldn’t locate it, and I pointed to the car that was parked in front and said that was the car. He said no, and I walked over and told him that that was the car I had called in about, and he must’ve brought it to the front. He seemed surprised and went back inside. Everything about it just felt odd.
Fast forward, past the test drive, small talk, and normal dealership nonsense, and we’re talking numbers. This whole negotiation absolutely floored me. I gave him my ideal number, he goes and talks to the sales manager, comes out 5 minutes later with a number that’s 2.4−2.5% lower than asking. Obviously, this was not anywhere close to where I wanted to pay, and when we pushed for lower, they took an offensive state. I find it hard to believe that the first offer they give us is the last and only offer possible, and when people start accusing you of «taking their profit» and throwing random numbers in your face that literally don’t mean anything, it’s hard not to get upset. Continually mentioning how honest you are and your dealership are doesn’t help either and doesn’t give me any sense of comfort. Tack on a salesperson telling you how unreasonable and ridiculous you’re being and acting completely dumbfounded that you don’t believe their first offer is their only offer, all with an air of condescension, and it’s safe to say I’m done.
On the plus side, the building is great and well kempt, but the overall experience left a sour taste in my mouth and has put me off from going to any more dealerships for a little while.

I’ve been to this location twice now and it has always been a super great experience. I leased my car from this location and they made that process as painless as it could possibly be (because buying/​leasing a car is ridiculously stressful). It’s a beautiful showroom, everything sparkling from the chandelier to the fancy paint jobs on the floor models. Trust me when I say I do not have what I considered a Lexus-​sized budget but I was treated with respect and received great service. These guys (and gals) worked hard to get me into a car I really loved without compromising my very limited budget.
Yesterday was my first service appointment for my new car. A big shout out to Lee in service! I have never been treated so well anywhere. He made the whole trip an absolute pleasure. He showed me around their waiting area which included a Keurig coffee machine with an assortment of coffee/​tea/​hot chocolate to choose from, a small refrigerator with soft drinks, snacks, and candy. There were couches and tables surrounding a television playing the news and a quieter room available for reading etc. They have a fitness center (seriously!?), movie theatre room, and business center available as well.
When I went to retrieve my car it had been washed and vacuumed out. They usually don’t vacuumed the car if your appointment is after 5pm but Lee went outside himself and vacuumed my car. Outstanding 5-​star rating in both sales and service!

Came into the dealership with exactly what i wanted in mind. after 1 ½ hours of them supposedly trying to find it, they come ack with only options that are $ 4,000 more than what i was looking for. They then tried to say that they can discont the higher priced car, but if they had to get what i wanted, it would be about the same price anyway, NOT TRUE. They tried to upsell me the entire time. I came in informed and looking for a specific car. TERRIBLE customer service.

It’s a nice place. It’s like sitting in your rich friend’s living room (I don’t have any rich friends). Lots of complimentary stuff (coffee, cappuccino, fruit, snack, etc.). One room has a TV, the other is more quiet. There is also outdoor seating. When I purchased my car I was told they have a gym, too, which is a very nice touch.
Service was excellent. They not only washed the car after, but vacuumed the inside. A very nice touch!
Just one thing keeping it from being a five star review. I bought one of those inexpensive Lexus automobiles. Mine does not have saved seat settings. When I got in the car, the seat had been moved. I kinda get it, but no… don’t move the driver’s seat especially if the car does not have saved seat settings. Then, and I don’t understand this at all, the passenger seat had been moved, too.
I suppose if they knew how I obsess about getting my seat and then my mirrors ‘just so’, they would refrain from moving the seat. I don’t know… seems like common courtesy.
Overall, however, it was a top-​notch experience.

I don’t understand why all the reviews is not counted in the overall rating for this place. I bet performance lexus paid off yept to put all the «unwanted» comments on the bottom so no one can see how they are as a business establishment. 5 stars though!!! YeaaaaA right!

Having just come from the BMW family, I must say that I am fully impressed with the service, and friendliness at Performance Lexus. I recently Leased a Lexus here, and I have been treated like royalty from the beginning to the end of the process. The dealership has many amenities for their customers. They have a gym, movie theater, and a nice comfortable lounge with snacks, sodas, coffee, etc.
What I really like, are the free car washes. They have two options. The full car wash which takes around 30 minutes, includes a vacuum of your car, exterior wash, and wheel shine. Then they have the quick wash, which I assume is just running it through the machine real quick. I did this option once, and it took around 10 – 15 minutes.
The only thing I think Lexus, and not necessarily the dealership can improve upon, is the maintenance during leasing. BMW covers most maintenance costs of a leased vehicle, whereas Lexus you still have to pay for things like oil changes. Again, not the dealership’s fault.
There was an excellent opportunity for them to service my car recently. I had a squeak coming from the center console of my car. It would squeak every time I hit a bump in the road. They took my car, have me a loaner, and about 3 days later called me and said, «We fixed the squeak, and would like to tint your windows for free as an apology.» If I had taken this to BMW with my prior experience, they would’ve been like, «We can’t find the squeak.» I definitely will be coming back for my next car.

Performance just does it right. I go there for minor service and after-​market parts, and they are always friendly and professional. They even have Todd, who worked for several years at the BMW dealership where I spent too much time (and money) servicing my BMW’s. We both agree that Lexus is a much better car and Performance a much better dealership!

I recently had the some rather unfortunate luck with my former Audi (refer to my review for my new mechanic, also received a 5-​star review from me) and was forced to find a new vehicle. I went to numerous car dealerships, talked to umpteen sales people, got numerous harassing emails and phone calls etc., until I came to Performance Lexus by King’s Auto Mall.
First of all, the entrance and lobby is pretty imppressive; they have a very large waterfall-​type thing in front (which does look kind of weird coming off the highway but it is rather nice). They also have a work-​out room with treadmills and different equipment, apparently for patrons waiting to get their oil changed? I’m not that motivated. They also have a REALLY nice waiting area with lots of snacks and drinks (free food will win you big points with me every time), a fireplace and a big screen TV. I wanted to take a nap on their sofas.
I had seen the car I wanted to look at online, so I knew exactly what I wanted. Even though they seemed busy, the receptionist got a salesperson right away for me. I can’t say enough good things about John Drennan; right from the beginning, I could tell that he was actually passionate about what he sells. He wasn’t pushy or schmoozy at all, and when he took me on a test drive, he let me drive around for at least 30 minutes, making me feel like he was more than happy to actually take time to help find me the right car. When I told him I wasn’t going to buy anything until it got the ok from a male friend (who, unlike me, knows about car stuff), he was more than happy to set up an appointment whenever it worked for our schedule. He stayed at least 2 hours after the dealership closed to work with us, making sure I got the best deal. Everyone I came in contact with was extremely nice and helpful; granted, that’s their business, but it didn’t feel forced or too… car salesman-​esque. I’m pretty sure they’ve earned my business for life. Or at least as long as I’m driving a Lexus.

Every Lexus dealership has its own personality and I’m diggin’ on Performance Lexus’s. Came here last weekend to get the car I was going to help drive down to LA (eek!). Matt, the salesman, greeted us as we pulled up. He was very accomodating and friendly. We were pretty much in and out, but he wanted to get me directions to our next destination. He led us to the waiting lounge with an adjacent «Future Lexus Owner» lounge (get it? kid’s area, lol!).
Here’s the personality part: the lounge was definitely luxurious and made me feel like I was part of some high society Lexus owner frat. A fireplace, dark woods, leather seating – I almost busted out a smoking pipe to enjoy while reading my paper. Ha! I fixed myself a high class hot cocoa from one of those expensive coffee machines. The food/​drink counter also had a fridge full of drinks and a candy store setup of glass «penny candy» jars filled with gummy bears, peanuts, and the like. A touch of fun and cute to counter the ambiance. I had a seat in one of those comfy leather club chairs and watched some exciting CNN. Matt returned with directions and we were on our way.
Now I find out that we barely saw any of the dealership. In fact, there were a few other lounges, a fitness room, and a movie theater. Oh word? My bad Lexus! What a great place for local owners to chill at while getting their car serviced. Jealous!

I recently inherited my dad’s old Lexus coupe. I love the car but I’m a little annoyed at the number of service appointments Lexus requires one to take part in to keep the car under warranty.
Performance Lexus of Cincinnati recently opened a brand new dealership and service center in the back corner of Kings Auto Mall, they closed their old location that was near the front of the complex. The new area includes luxury waiting areas for Lexus drivers to spend time while waiting on their cars to be serviced. The center includes a fitness center, free Internet access, and a movie watching room for the convenience of patrons.
Staff here couldn’t be friendlier, Performance Lexus actually hired a professional valet service to greet customers and take cars to the service area, which is a classy touch. Aaron is who my dad always dealt with and now he’s the one that I’ll be talking to, he is incredibly friendly and helpful and never fails to call the second the car is ready. Lexus also offers free rental cars if yours has to be in the shop for a few days.
