Wouldn’t go back for the smell. Too much. Decent selection but over powered by insence

What used to be a great little shop has become dirty, rundown, and a littl sketchy. Employees were apathetic and sitting on the counters.

This is my new go-​to place in Ohio for single bottles of beer. They’ll let you break any six pack, which is awesome. The prices are very reasonable as well. I found a bottle of Tilquin Gueuze (750mL) for only $ 16.99 when everyone else charges at least $ 20 a bottle. They have a very large selection, most warm, but there is some stuff in the cooler. This place would get 5 stars, but it’s a bit cluttered. There isn’t much space, so they cram stuff in everywhere. It can take a while to look for that beer you’ve been searching for. The staff doesn’t seem too knowledgeable about craft beer, at least the lady that’s always working the counter. I’m sure whoever their beer buyer is knows the stuff well. Still, this place is easy to get to, has easy parking, and will break sixers, so it’s awesome. Check it out!

Fantastic selection of 22s and sixers, tallboys and singles, oft founds and one offs, beer, wine, and spirits. I only surveyed and purveyed the beers, but I liked what I saw. We spent about 30 minutes examining the offerings and aisles. It gets tight in there, and I was limited by bag space (for the flight home) so I only took two things with me, but I could have easily spent triple figures and set myself up for one heck of a look upon emptying my suitcase as home.

I HAVE TO SAY… Despite the store layout It. was a little cramped in there. Yet I found some real gems A 1991 Burgess Napa Cab for 69??? what a layup.
Very well thought out selection of Cabs/​Chards on the California side not too commercial and some great smaller producers under the radar.
The staff were very nice and one in particular wanted me to Facebook you as I will but wanted to Unilocal you first. She made note that you do wine tastings and too make an effort to bring in interesting wines. which for me is very important that staff make this overture to the customers. A++

Walked in and felt claustrophobic. Very cluttere, but a nice selection of brands. I needed to buy rum as a gift for someone’s birthday. I noticed that their prices are alittle high.
The staff was friendly and they also sell lottery.
I don’t think I will return only because the pricing.

Great location in Oakley, Hyde Park area, easy access with ample parking spaces, carried most of the wine, beer, liquor you need, will help you if you don’t know what you want to buy. May be a few bucks extra compared to stores in KY (only if you want to drive to KY)

Don’t we owe it to ourselves to have a drink or two? I mean, really, it’s just the right thing to do. You can buy some booze at this place. They’ve also got snacks, and olives for the martinis (gin for me, thanks, not vodka, and so dry I want to see dust on the olive).
As liquor stores go, this place raises the bar. It is kind of a tight squeeze, but that’s just because the place is so well stocked. It can get a little busy, but the lines typically move fast. (Parking can also be a problem at busy times.)
They don’t take credit cards, which is irksome, but understandable. They do take debit cards and cash, though.
As the Roman poet Horace wrote, «Now’s the time for drinking deep, and now’s the time to beat the earth with unfettered feet.» So Carpe Diem, folks. Drink up.

My favorite liquor store in Cincinnati (note party source is in Kentucky). Great Selection of Spirits but what I really love is the wine and beer selection. They have older vintages of the big Napa and Bordeaux wines plus a great selection of internation and lesser known regions as well. The Wall of Beer is just great to look at, but could admitedly be organized better.

Man, I wish Kentucky liquor laws weren’t so weird, because then maybe we could get a local neighborhood liquor store as good as Hyde Park Wine & Spirits.
As it stands, they have an excellent selection of craft beers from across the region, many of which are not available across the river for whatever reason. My fiancé is the real hophead of the two of us, and HPWS is like a little Mecca for him.
We don’t go up that way often, but when we do, it’s definitely a stop on our list to pick up a treasure trove of new and limited edition beers and spirits.

This store is cluttered and a bit chaotic, but with some digging around you’ll end up with some great finds. This review is for the craft beer only-​I didn’t spend any time looking at the wine or spirits.
Don’t be fooled by the store name– Hyde Park Wine & Spirit has a great craft beer selection. As another reviewer noted, don’t think the small refrigerated section is the only beer they have. When you walk in, go to the left and find a long, narrow aisle with tall shelves FULL of beer. They have some great treasures tucked away on the shelves. You have to do some squatting down and crane your neck, you’ll probably worry about knocking over bottles, and it will be absolutely worth it. We left with a lot of beers I’d never tried before, and a few varieties I’d never heard of.
My only real complaint about this store is that the aisles are hard to navigate because they are *so* narrow. I had visions of myself causing a beer avalanche, which thankfully didn’t happen. I realize it’s a small store with limited space, so just navigate carefully and leave the massive bag in the car.

It is true that this store has a good beer selection, but my problem with it is that it is so unorganized that it makes it very hard to see everything available, let alone make a decision. Be prepared to spend some time digging through the coolers and pacing back and forth before finding what you want.

Not long after I moved to Cincinnati, I established the Hyde Park Kroger as my usual grocery store. I had driven past this unassuming storefront in a stripmall several times before I decided to stop. Boy, am I ever glad I did. This is now pretty much my favorite spot to buy beer.
This place, while limited in size, manages to cram in a very good selection of amazing quality beers in the little space they have. They also have liquor and win, but that is not what this place is about for me.
While the selection is not at the level of Party Source due to size, what selection they do have is absolutely top notch. Overwhelmed by the choice or just plain unfamiliar with the world of craft beer? Check out the Beer Advocate Top 100 beers on the wall or ask the friendly, knowledgeable staff. They also allow you to make your own 6-​packs with any bottles they have available. This is tremendous.
As much as I want to, I can’t give this 5 stars for a couple of reasons. The place is a little cluttered, which makes it hard to find what you need sometimes. This is especially true of wine. The other thing is that they don’t have a great selection of cold beer. Most of what they offer is unrefrigerated, so its up to you to get it cold when you get home.
This is a must-​visit for anyone who likes good beer. While Party Source has the selection, this place has the atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and consistent quality. Unless you’re buying a tallboy of swill out of the cooler, you’re pretty much guaranteed a good beer.

HPWS was the first good beer shop I found in Cincinnati and it still remains near the top of that list. From the outside it looks like just another liquor store, but on the inside the variety of wine and craft beer is almost overwhelming. Recently the also started letting customers buy single bottles of beer to create their own 6pack, which is a nice touch if you are looking to really open up your palate. The wine selection is solid and the staff is able and willing to help.

As others have written, it’s just the normal wine, liquor and beer sold here. It’s located in a strip center at a very busy intersection, but convenient to lots of shopping, restaurants, etc.
I’m not exactly sure where the distinction is between Hyde Park and Oakley; for a newbie to the area it’s a little confusing. I kind of call this entire area around Madison Rd. the «rookwood area.» Then there’s the sign at nearby Rookwood that says this area is Norwood?

Don’t be dismayed by the exclusionary sign; they have beer here, too! And don’t be dismayed by the meager selections in and around the cooler that you’ll first walk toward upon entering. I saw them, hung my head in disappointment, and started to leave when I saw the aisle directly along the front — there it was! Alesmiths and Trappists and Dogfishes and Bells and Rogues and just as much as almost anywhere else (though Dilly Deli has them beat for breadth of Belgians, and the Party Source wins for general European import panorama).
I don’t know much about wine, but there was a lot around, so surely much of it was good, and almost none of it was in jugs or boxes. Liquor was plentiful, and with some good quality whiskeys that I’ve enjoyed, though buying bourbon outside of Kentucky is blasphemous when the home of that delicious elixir is so close.
Prices were not as marked up as I expected/​feared, and Rochefort 10 was as cheap as I’ve ever seen (so I cleaned them out, sorry). The man working there looked like Santa Claus (seriously, I saw rosy cheeks and a twinkle in his eye), and it’s no wonder, since wandering around in here feels like Christmas morning.

Hyde Park Wine and Spirits is your typical liquor, beer, and wine store. They’ve got a great selection and if you’re looking for something, chances are they have it.
I was a little put off by the prices in general. Due to it’s location in Hyde Park, I think things were just over priced because they can be. I’m a fan of micro-​brew beers from all over the country (which they had a nice and large selection of) and I only found one brand that was under seven dollars. I can get some of these same brands at Kroger for less.
They do have a nice liquor selection and wine selection. The wine was also over priced. Looking around what they offered I spotted cheap wines and pricey wines. I was able to judge the overall pricing by the way the cheap wines were priced because I’m more familiar with purchasing these brands. However, some wine bottles they carry are unique and gorgeous!
It may be worth a visit if you are in the market for some harder to find stuff, but the Kroger right around the corner has a liquor store inside it as well as a large wine section and chances are better prices as well.
