George’s pastries are oh so delightful! Everything is fresh, rich, and baked to perfection. It’s been a while since my last visit but I noticed another price increase. Even at $ 2.75÷2.50, the petite pastries are worth it.

Best cakes around! The strawberry cake is delightful and the cupcakes are divine. Kids and adults enjoy these treats.

Oh boy, this place is gonna be dangerous now that I know of its’ existence. How have I never been here before today?! As a west-​sider, I’ve driven past it a thousand times and seen it pop up on Unilocal!I think I always assumed it was not a storefront and more of someone who made cakes and pastries to order. I should have investigated sooner, because I was wrong! Totally a storefront in the most unassuming location, right next to the ameri-​stop. I decided to swing by and check it out today because I needed some cupcakes for an amazing 11 year old’s birthday and didn’t have time or energy to make them myself! At 2.75 dollars a piece, they aren’t exactly cheap, but they are beautiful and they are worth it! I was so impressed by how many cupcake flavors and options they had– it was over 15! And the lady who took my order was incredibly sweet and patient and told me what every one of them was. They also had some beautiful cakes on display. The cupcakes were light, airy and absolutely divine! I am thrilled that such a lovely little gem is so close to my house, and disappointed in myself I didn’t check it out sooner! The only feedback I have is that it would be awesome if they could do some kind of deal or small discount for a certain amount of cupcakes. (Like, $ 30 for 12 cupcakes instead of $ 33) Not gonna lie, if they had this kind of deal, I most likely would have purchased more– I’m a sucker for that! Don’t know who George is, but he sure makes some damn fine cupcakes! Lol :)

George’s cakes and … Well EVERYTHING are the absolute BEST! We got our wedding cake made by him in 2012 and it was SO good! Everybody talked about how amazing it was in both taste and looks. On top of that, George is one of the nicest persons you could meet. He was wonderful to work with in every way.

Previous reviews of Cakes by George have not misled you, this place is the best! Growing up when I ranked cake in the most important parts of my wedding it always made the top 3. When I had cake from this bakery and a friend’s wedding I knew I needed to look no further. George’s cakes are everything you want and you can even buy them in tiny versions in the bakery any day.
When I called to set up a tasting I talked to George himself who assured me he would give me the best price. His cakes are well below the cost per person of many other bakers in Cincinnati, but his flavor cannot be matched.
Ordering our cake was a breeze and I cannot wait to see it on our wedding day. Since I know what this cake tastes like I can guarantee you if I eat one thing at our reception it will be the cake!

I have searched high and low throughout Cincinnati for the perfect cupcakes/​cakes. If you’re like me, quit searching — this is IT. George, the Greek Baker, makes perfect and delicious AND beautiful cupcakes. They’re like mini cakes disguised as a cupcake — each cupcake has a layer of icing, nestled between the cake. Yes, seriously. A ridiculous amount of choices that makes it, almost, impossible to choose. Plus, chocolate baklava. Two magic words. If you like baklava and you like chocolate, RUN, don’t walk, to get it.
The chocolate caramel., chocolate peanut butter and red velvet = all perfection! I have a feeling that no matter what flavors I chose, they were all going to be little bites of cake heaven.
George, the Greek Baker, has nailed the art of cupcakes/​cakes. I’m so happy that I’ve found my place and no longer have to search.

Cakes and Pastries by George is the best! From the cream horns to the chocolate baklava you will leave so satisfied, you will never want to go anywhere else for something sweet. Five stars is not enough. This place is insanely good. I hate to say this, but it puts all these new designer cupcake shops to shame. The texture, flavor, appearance… EVERYTHING is perfect. Just trust me.

We had George’s AMAZING cakes for our wedding and now regularly get his cakes and treats for special occasions. We can GUARANTEE the cakes and treats are the best one has ever tried. Truly amazing textures, flavors, etc. DELICH!!!

While the store isn’t that old, my family has been going to George for cakes and pastries for about ten years. No only are his pastries the best in the city, we believe they’re among the best in the world. We’ve also been to Greece, and compared the pastries he makes, with those we’ve found back home, and his win.

We discovered George and his goodies when he made our wedding cake for us in 2008, before he opened a shop. Now that he has opened a store, we try to go at least once a month and take the ferry back home. I LOVE baked goods and George’s cakes and pastries are as good as it gets! He is very friendly and the cost is very reasonable for what you get. I can’t say enough good things about it. Forget going to get ice cream, stop by this store and get a cupcake or cream horn instead. You will be glad you did! Friends of mine have switched from getting Bön Boniery (I know I spelled it wrong) and get cakes from George now. I know he helps kids in culinary school to learn the craft too. One worker said they learned more working with him and making things from scratch than they did working in the bakery at walmart where everything is pre-​made/​packaged. The one downside is that he only takes cash, so come prepared!

This place is amazing! A WONDERFUL variety of homemade goods. George himself, couldn’t be more delightful, and I’m so very grateful this place is near my home. Please, PLEASE support this business!

This is a hidden gem that opened in March 2013, and I hope the community embraces it. In a nondescript strip center, this Greek bakery has homemade — no preservatives, according to the server there — delectable baked goods. The spanakopita is flaky and dense the way it should be, and chocolate-​covered, cream-​filled eclairs (that go by a Greek name I can’t recall) were also just right. The shelves were stocked with other delectable cupcakes, pastries and cakes. The store was bright and clean, and the service was friendly. Parking is free and plentiful.
