Specialties

Used building materials and residential and commercial deconstruction.

History

Established in 2004.

Building Value was created as a job training enterprise of Easter Seals Work Resource Center, a Cincinnati nonprofit organization helping people with disabilities and disadvantages succeed in the workplace.

Each year Building Value trains more than 100 people with disabilities and workplace disadvantages and keeps thousands of tons of material from the landfill. In 2007, Building Value expanded its deconstruction services, the systematic removal of building materials for reuse, to include whole structure deconstruction. Building Value crews are now able to salvage as much as 80 percent of a home or structure and make it available for reuse or recycle.

At Building Value, materials in good condition are reused in their original form for their original purpose. This process: preserves architectural treasures, provides quality materials at a bargain, gives donors a tax deduction/LEED credits, and creates jobs

Materials are made available for purchase at the Northside retail center.
