Sorry, carnitas had no taste, an they were not fresh. Barbacoa tasted like dog food. And he tortillas were old and dry.

I have been coming to this resturant since 2000, and I Love this place! They serve up hot/caliente, not picoso, handmade salsa. On the weekends they have handmade tortillas too. The dining area has 7 tables that seat 4 or more per table.

Still delicious. Recently sampled pozole, more carnitas(meat only!), wonderful lardy beans. Great service, great value. Still haven’t tried a handmade tortilla. Will be back.

Yummmm… the Carnitas from here are GREAT! (This is why they get 5 stars) On the other hand, they would only get 4 stars overall… Because I bought a($ 14) dozen of «elote de tamales» Elote(corn) tamales & all they were was cornbread tamales, very very disappointing! Don’t get me wrong they tasted good & were huge, but I was expecting them to at least have whole pieces of corn in the middle, but nope… none at all. Honestly, I could of just made my own corn bread at home, for a fraction of that price. We also had the«rajas con queso» tamales. They had cheese, mild peppers & onions in them… not spicy at all. They were okay, they could of have a little bit more heat to them, but they are good for the people who like more mild tamales. I will update more, when I try the the

I went here for lunch with co-workers. I believe they are fairly new. The reason we went was because they have $ 1 tacos Monday — Thursday. I wasn’t expecting much but was surprised how good they were. I ordered two carnitas tacos… very good and moist! And one steak taco which was the norm. My one co-worker ordered the al pastor and she said it was one of the best compared to other places so I will be back to try the al pastor because I have not found a place where I like it. The salsa was really good too.

The best pozole we’ve ever had. Period. They make each batch to order, only having the broth ready. They fry up some carnitas and add them along with hominy so each batch has plenty of the good stuff. They don’t skimp on the sides of cabbage, onions, limes, radishes and dried hot peppers, even for take-out orders. They make their own tortillas and tostadas, both are delicious. Service is fantastic. There was a huge take-out crowd today and my husband was compensated for his wait, when he had not even complained about the wait, with a small order of menudo. I can’t wait to try some of their tamales. The cashier described some unusual ones(strawberry? elotes?) that sound interesting. Hubby brought some pork tamales home and they are HUGE.
