Union Bank of California

Not enough tellers!!! You will wait in line FOREVER! There are maybe 10 employees in the building on a Monday but only 3 are available as tellers. At least hide and not stare at your computer looking available.

One of the worst branches ever!
Came here one day to get a cashiers check. First the line was super long on a weekday! And it was not moving. Soon I figured out why the line wasn’t moving: the tellers were extremely inefficient and slow. As well, there was 10 people in line and only 2 tellers working??? How does that even make sense? When I talked to one of the seated bankers about adding another teller, she gave me major attitude and told me the staff are on lunch breaks. Um, this is the service industry, which means you stagger your staff’s break times! Hello, common sense?
I finally get to the teller window and this kid was obvious very new which is ok. But he kept asking another lady how to enter certain things in the computer system. So getting a cashiers check took me half an hour: 20min in line and 10 min at the window. Holy cow!!! Pulling teeth is faster.

Seriously!
I’ve been here over 20 minutes, more than 20 people in line, more coming and only one teller open!
There is one guy in the window just writing something and every once in awhile glances at us. No need to help your co-​worker teller #6.

Im new to this bank. I love it! They have the most friendly tellers. There drive up tellers are a nice throwback. Im very happy that I opened a account here.

Don’t expect them to get anything difficult right the first time. A simple transfer of accounts, needing only a Certificate of Trust, was too much. The «Senior Relationship Banker» dropped the ball. After burning a day, a different banker asked why I had been sitting there so long. Back to square one. I am getting out of this incompetent branch.

I never been inside this Union Bank because I only made drive in deposits at this brach. The one thing I love about his bank is their drive up they have 4 including the ATM one. Is fast and I dont have to get out of the car.

Glad I’ve switched to Union Bank. Tellers are always nice here. I’m in and out. Never really experienced a long time in line. Same experience at other branches as well… Must just be a great bank! =)

Am I the only one who thinks banks are important in a neighborhood? Along with a grocery store, I can’t think of anything more important to the health of a community then a proper bank. This Union Bank is off the H St. exit in Chula Vista– about three blocks from the South Bay Regional Court House, so it makes for an easy stop when you are on your way to Court. The exterior has ample, ample parking with both drive up and walk up atm’s. Like most Union Bank drive up ATM’s, if you are driving a small or mid size car you will be at a disadvantage unless you are an inch away from the machine– reaching is obligatory.
The interior is standard 80s bank– spacious, but nothing spesh. I’ve never found this branch to be busy, but I’m rarely there.
