FRAUD ALERT… No stars. Do not come here. military family with tricare will be abused of their insurance. My son, was charged for fillings and sealants on the same tooth. This is fraud practice done by dentists to get more out of the insurance. If they get a filling, they don’t need a sealant on the same tooth.
I was told today I have gum disease and need scaling and I cannot use my insurance to get a cleaning on my teeth till I pay for this treatment. Let me just say, I know I’m not a model with perfect teeth, but for the past 15 years I have had yearly exams and at least 2 cleanings per year. I just took off braces and had an implant done within the last year. I also just had a cleaning done in February before moving here. If I had bone loss or gum disease there would’ve been no way that implant would have been put in by any surgeon and I would’ve been told something in February. On top of being told I needed scaling, I was never shown where in my mouth I have bone loss, which is a must according to the state board of dentistry. I was never told I could have the scaling done to the area affected, which in anyone’s mouth would be the teeth harder to reach by floss or toothbrush. I was told I would get one half of my mouth done at a time, which means they would treat and of course charge me thousands of dollars for work not needed when I just wanted a routine cleaning. According to the dental association unnecessary gum work could actually hurt your teeth and gums, not help. Dr. Cavan could not answer me when I asked her if my insurance covered the treatments and refused to complete my appointment for a cleaning wasting my time and insurance money spent with her bogus exam and x-​rays. My sister works for a dentist and says the deep cleaning insistence with many dentists in this area is just a scam and it must be stopped. I could not believe I spent my hard earned money on this lady who wants to get thousands of dollars out of me for unnecessary work. I pay for my insurance and should be able to get a cleaning without being cheated. If anyone else is told they need the same treatment from this office without proof of bone loss and gum disease I recommend writing a complaint to the California board of dentistry like I will be doing soon.
I find it pathetic that she writes her own reviews. The first one she uses her own name, Vivian C? C’mon now. She talks about herself in 3^rd person. She likes to use «», !!!, and commas (,) in her writing. She starts with, «let me first off tell you…, talks about her cheap prices, which by the way are not cheap and how friendly and clean her place is. The last 3 reviews by David, Vanessa and Danny are definitely her. They have no pics, only have 2 reviews each about her places and use the same writing style with using «5 STARS» and this place «ROCKS», it’s so obviously her writing all the reviews on the same day and using her go to !!! Exclamation marks. I like how she purposely misspelled her own name. Now that’s a testament to her unprofessionalism. She has to lie to get you in the door and she will lie to get your money.

I have to start by saying that in the first 26 years of my life I hated dentist visits… However, after finding Dr Cavan and her staff, the last 3 years of being a patient have been more than a pleasurable experience! Their office is very professional and the staff is very friendly, and they truly do care about your health. I have recommended family members who have had nothing but great experiences as well. I’ve been able to get a quick appointment for a few emergency trips and they have helped me with billing and insurance options. Looking forward to my next visit and the many after that! Thank You!

I love how they were able to accomodate my kids for an appointment even though it was just me who had an appointment today.
Doctor and staff very pleasant. Friendly enviroment.
