We’ve been going here for years! The carrot cake is a tradition for us and a must if you’ve never had it. All the other sweets are yummy, my kids love to go in and pick a few personal choices which always hit the sweet spot.

I havent visited this place in years. The prices of their cakes are on point less expensive than Northgate or any other big grocery store with better quality. The taste of the cookies. … Perfect they are delicious fresh and not expensive at all. The ladies are sweet patient and helpful. I say f Northgates cakes I’m coming back to Mexico Lindo.

She said: Just stopped in for something sweet, the wedding cookie and the Butterfinger cookie were very tasty! Would definitely go back to try a few more desserts. The decorated cakes looked beautiful! He said: Coconut cookie was good, but the wedding cookie was the best. Just the right amount of sweetness with pecans. A nice little treat.

The Tres Leches cake was amazing! It was very moist, but not soggy, which is rare! I will definitely be going back for more!

Stopped by this afternoon. No overhead lights, no AC, cash only so no ATM or credit cards. It didn’t seem particularly clean. Wedding cookies seem OK.

Got married in September and had to have Tres Leche wedding cake. Of course I went on Unilocal and found Mexico Lindo Bakery who is known for their Tres Leche cake. I got pricing from them and it seemed reasonable. Came in tried a piece(they do not do sampling… you have to actually buy the slice) it was bomb! They take cash only and I had to pay up front. Angela helped with everything. There was a small delivery fee. The day of the wedding delivery went smoothly I THINK(although in my wedding video I saw there was a slight dent on one side… not sure if they did that upon delivery or someone else). Anyway everyone thought the cake tasted AMAZING! I don’t even like sweets that much and it was mouth watering. In fact in my wedding video when my husband feeds me the cake my face does this surprised yummy look. lol. ANYWAY…the cake was good BUT when I placed the order I gave them a photo of what I wanted my cake to look like. It was supposed to be a giant one tier heart with strawberries and glaze on top. They did make it into a heart but it did not look like the photo I had supplied at all… luckily I was not a bridezilla on the day of but I was sightly bummed it was not my vision. Luckily no one else knew my vision and the cake tasted so good no one cared. Overall they were easy to work with and made a delicious cake. I would recommend to others but if you have something specific you want done they probably need to be monitored a bit more.

I’m not much into sweets but when you enter this location, it smells like Heaven and I always hate to go. I’ve had there cookies before and they are a treat. I wish I could eat absolutely everything but haven’t just yet. I did order my son a birthday chocolate cake and I loved it. I definitely recommend this place.

Excellent food, generous portions, and extremely affordable prices. The coconut bread, 1.75 for 4 little loaves, is by far my favorite thing there and I’ve never been able to find anything like it elsewhere. It gets out of the oven around 11:30… ish. Sometimes it takes longer, but it’s well worth the wait!

I ordered a cake to look like the Ford emblem for my husbands birthday. Only difference was it would say«Juan». The cake was crooked. I was really disappointed because they came highly recommended. This is the 2nd I ordered from them in 10 yrs. and will be my last. The only thing going for them is the 3 leches calendar which is delicious. The lady replaced the cake but even the happy birthday lettering was crooked.

Their Tres Leches cake and Tiramisu cake are extremely delicious. They also have other types of affordable pastries that are delicious as well. The bakery is super small but cute. They usually have a lot of same day cakes that you can just pick without having to place an order. The only downside is they only take cash, no credit cards, which is a bummer since that’s usually all I carry. Still a great place for pastries and cakes.

My family and I have been buying cakes from here for a couple of years now. I recently purchased a chocolate mousse cake, since I remembered how much I liked it in the past. The strawberries were delicious, the cake to me tasted a little dry. I won’t knock off that many stars, since the cookies I purchased were delicious. My experiences in the past have all been pleasant. The fruit topped cake /strawberry mousse is delicious, definitely will be back to purchase that one.

The tres leches cake here is seriously legit!!! They have little pastries that are super affordable and delicious! The only bummer is they are cash only and don’t take cards, which I suppose is a good thing otherwise I would buy more goodies. Still 5 stars in my opinion though.

This place is amazingly good. I’ve came here for years for all my pastry goods! I highly recommend it their chocolate mousse cake. Not to mention customer service is always lovely, and if they do not have something that is made easy they will offer to make it for you right away

I preordered some cupcakes for a birthday party based on the reviews and a recommendation to go here. After I get there the notice is posted that the atm/credit card machine is not working. They take it and say oh I forgot to tell you it didn’t work. The machine works fine I get my cupcakes. Once I get home to enjoy them the cupcakes are way to dry and very chewy. The whip cream was good but those cupcakes were bad. I would have been better-of getting them at vons or albertsons close by for a cheaper price. First and last time go there. This was my experience and I’m sad because I was really hoping to have found a place that makes good cupcakes.

México lindo bakery, Your local family owned bakery. I’ve been here once before today, and I must say Its a shame I forgot about them. I highly recommend this place, they have quality cakes, the entrance and lobby are spotlessly clean and the best of all, their prices are decent if not low. I will be coming back for every family birthday event necessity.

Best Rosca de Reyes(king’s cake) ever!!! We get one every January 6th(king’s day in Mexican tradition). Extremely different from other bakeries, they fill theirs with Bavarian cream and use only the best dried fruits. The bread itself is delicious. This is a must try regardless of cultural background. Enjoy it with a hot cup of Mexican chocolate. They only sell it for a few days around Jan 6th. Oh! And for those first timers, Don’t choke on the baby Jesus. Provecho!

Thank goodness for bakeries! Thank goodness for great ones in Chula Vista Chico’s, La Concha & Northgate Gonzales Panderias do not carry the small cookies that we loved getting at La Panderia in Golden Hill. Since we moved here I’ve been looking and suddenly today I had a flash back from 1995 … Mexico Lindo on Broadway/H Street. The thought of spending $ 20 on store bought — highly processed cake with way TOO much food colored frosting — just left me with a pit in my stomach. Yes — walked in and they have an entire counter of small various cookies ranging in price from 35 cents to 50 cents each. French butter cookies, m&m cookies, raspberry filled butter cookies, apricot butter filled cookies, snicker cookies with chocolate and nuts, simple sweets, wedding cookies, and many many more. I was able to get four dozen assorted cookies for my daughters playdate for about $ 14. Their cake slices are so good as well! They make pound cakes, tres leches, strawberry mouse, mango, lemon creams, etc. They do not have the regular pan dulce that most panderias have — it’s really more like a french mexican pastry shop — if that makes sense.
