Lazer Journey

So, this place now gets 5 stars from me! We were given an opportunity to use our free passes :) The owner Mark was nice enough to reach out to me and coordinate a way we can come in to give them a second chance. Just the thought of him making time to reconsider our review of his business really does say alot about him as a person and also about his business. As always, my kids really had a great time! Thank you Lazer Journey :))

They are canceling my party!!!
I am so disappointed for the way they are handling the reservation.
I made a reservation of a party for October 24^th and received a email saying «the event has been schedule». So I sent out the invitations a receiving confirmation.
Now, I received a Email (they didn’t bother to call me) saying «the time slot you scheduled is actually unavailable»
Seriously? They offer the time slot then simply send a email to say the time slot is actually not available?
I am calling their phone and only the answering machine is working.
So upset and disoriented.
You should think twice before making the reservation of your party.

This was my first time here and the place is just alright. The girl giving the instructions at the beginning went over fast and it seemed pretty improvised. They seem to have some nice arcade games but I couldn’t care less for that. The arena is pretty basic and only 2 different teams play at a time. I feel like you would have a better experience if you bring your own team to play with.

What started out to be a great experience for my son and nephews turned out to be just horrible. We paid for all day pass and decided to go next door to grab some food, then head back for more laser fun… We head back and they were closed. It’s a shame bc when I called, (no one ever answers) the voice mail said they closed at 8… It was 5:58 when my boy went to head back over… I called again the young lady Shilo, said that they were closed. Had attitude and showed no customer service skills at all. They knew we planned on coming back after we ate but never gave us a heads up… Saying something’s like «hey fyi, we close in 20 minutes» My kids were extremely disappointed. Next time we’ll just head over to sky zone or stay at tavern to bowl.

I payed for 8 kids to play. Left at 5:30 to go eat next door and then they told me they are closed. All bad ! I’m calling mike Taylor ! We walked out and told them we were coming back

Went there for a birthday party and the place is always closed, people are not very helpful and the toys are something out of a gumball machine. The hours they are opened during the summer is just ridicules (4 – 9).

This place is alright. The arena is way too small though. I brought my stepsister and stepbrother here to play and we were against a team of four little girls and just us 7 in the arena was enough for the little girls to shoot us and follow us all around and shooting us repeatedly. More annoying than anything really. I can’t imagine what it would be like if this place was packed. We came on a Friday and it was dead. Bad sign. They should remove the arcade game area and add more arena. If you want a better laser tag experience go to UltraZone in Point Loma. That place is big and has a second story in the arena. All in all, it’s ok.

We came on a Friday night expecting it to be crazy packed, but only two birthday parties and us were there. The staff was very friendly and helpful walking us through the whole process. When we had a technical issue with one of the arcade games a staff member came and not only fixed it, but credited us a few extra for the inconvenience. Will for sure be coming again over the summer.

From the first time we visited this place, my kids were already planning to have their birthday parties here.
I recently had a party here for my 8 year old. The package includes 10 – 15 friends, lazer tag, game cards, drinks, pizza and even a return trip for guests. We were provided a host/​hostess for the party, she was very good and kept to the schedule. Which was great because as a single father, I’m not too good at crowd control for a bunch of little ones. The guests who had never been here were impressed with the place, Its very clean and its big enough… but also small enough where you do not lose track of your kid/​s. The kids AND Adults had a blast playing lazer tag and pretty much all said they would come back. The party was a hit and I will definitely be planning one here for my other son’s bday coming up.
The workers are all polite and attentive. I also wanted to add that organizing the party was very easy and pain free. I scheduled about a month prior and got a call the week of, to finalize food and drink orders, theme and number of guests, My son had a birthday to remember with his friends & family.
We have been coming regularly since they opened, whenever I ask my boys what they feel like doing, they say «Can we please go to Lazer Journey?»

This place is awsome! I brought my son and his friend to check it out and they had a blast. I recommend this place, it’s a great place for kids birthday party.

My kids had an awesome time! We were here for a team fundraiser. 20% of proceeds went to the team. $ 20 for 5 hours of unlimited lazer tag of 15 minute increments. There was also free wifi, video games, seating area with 2 TV screens. Everyone had a great time!

I had my son’s birthday party here in May. All the boys loved it & the parents told me later how much their son’s enjoyed it. We bought the birthday package that had laser tag, game card, icee, pizza. Pizza was actually good-​not the cardboard pizza at most kid places with sauce smeared on it.
they boys were entertained for hours & didn’t want to leave at the end, most all of us ended up staying another 1 ½ hours. Birthday party success & I didn’t have to do anything-​except show up. Love that! p. s. Cleanest Lazer tag place I think we have in San Diego.

Traveled with 8 –11 yo’s and a few more kids all under 10. This place is awesome. From the owner to the employees you could not ask for a better place for kids. I met the owner a few days before they opened and informed him that I was looking at places for my 11 year old son’s upcoming birthday party. He was friendly, informative, and eager. He gave me some passes so I could try the place out and see if it was a good fit for my son.
Well my son loved it, and the party went off amazing. The pricing was great and the way it is handled (they have hosts that handle all the entertainment for the kids) was amazing! It was the first time in 11 years I was able to sit down during my son’s parties.
I recommend this place for all ages. The employees are pleasant and really seem to pay attention, I had no problems at all with older kids on site at the same time, they really keep an eye on everything, and the food was really good. Highly recommend!

Friendly workers and extremely clean facility. They also give military discounts! We will continue to come here over and over again

We just had our daughter’s birthday here. Awesome place, great value. Everybody was very helpful and nice, especially our host Eric, who made sure our party was a success. All the kids had a blast.
I would definately recommend Lazer Journey for your next event.

Finally an AWESOME laser tag arena in our neck of the woods! I stumbled on to Lazer Journey this weekend with my kids. I hadn’t even heard of it but saw the sign when we were in the Eastlake Design District so we walked in to check it out… it is soooo cool! Seriously, the kids eyes almost popped out of their heads when they saw the arcade. The games are all new and different. The staff was super friendly even gave us a tour. The kids really went crazy when they saw the arena. They played one game and had a blast. My husband wasn’t with us, and as soon as we got home, the kids (ages 10 to 5) were begging their dad to take them back.
This place seems to have it all — well designed, great staff, super clean — I’m sure it’s going to be a family favorite!
Oh, and before I forget, we met one of the owners, super nice, friendly LOCAL guy — so come on everyone — let’s support our neighbors and take the family out for some FUN!

Checked out this place last night and all I can say is FAN-​FRICKIN-​TASTIC! It is the best interactive gaming experience out there for both adults and kids! It’s a brand new laser tag arena, the arcade is modern and the food is surprisingly good! The pizza is fresh and made to order, and the ‘lazer tots’ were a hit with my kids. Pricing is very reasonable and the staff was extremely courteous and friendly. I think we found a new hot spot to take the family!
