Francisco teaches correct piano technique based on the Russian and French schools of piano playing that gives freedom to interpretation. He guides the student in discovering his or her expressive qualities in piano interpretation. He uses the French piano methods «Methode de Piano» and «Bach a Nos Jours» series and also incorporates the philosophy of the Suzuki method for teaching music to children.

Lessons Overview:

–Learn an artistic and expressive approach to piano playing

–Acquire correct piano technique that gives freedom to interpretation

–Main focus is on the classical repertoire (Bach, Mozart, Chopin, etc.) but popular music can also be studied if the student desires

–Solfege and music theory will also be taught in order for the student to become more independent in their piano practice

History

Established in 2003.

Francisco has 11 years teaching experience privately and in music schools in Paris, France. His students are of all ages (5 years old to 76 years old) and range from the beginner to talented advanced pianists.

He has just recently moved back to his native Chula Vista and has a private piano studio in his home.

Francisco studied piano at the Ecole Normale de Musique with Dusan Tadic, a student of legendary pianist Alfred Cortot. He earned his Diploma with honors and his ‘certificat de perfectionnement’ from the National School of Music in Ville d’Avray, France. He subsequently studied with Nonna Hirt in the great russian piano tradition of Heinrich Neuhaus. He has given concerts in France, Mexico, and the U.S.A.
