When you first walk in this place appears to have potential but once you look closer you see it for what it is. A place that horribly overprices for damaged items. The shelfs were filled with chipped statues for 15 to 20 dollars apiece. normal glassware which would usually go for 50 cents to a dollar for 2.50 to 5 dollars apiece. I dont usually shop for clothes so i cant speak to their clothes selection, but if you are looking for resale or just deals in general there are much better places than this.

3 stars for this thrift store with potential. I’ve been wanting to stop by for a while to check it out but was unsure of their hours during the week. I finally popped in on a Saturday and found it to be a nice little shop.(Note: park closer to the thrift store and not in front of 7 – 11 bc there’s a chance you could get towed.) This store is on the smaller side, but sometimes that’s a good thing so there is less to rummage through. Since it recently opened, I’m sure their selection and organization will grow in time. What’s nice about this thrift store is they accept card with a $ 5 minimum purchase; you definitely don’t see that at other thrift stores in the surrounding area. One con is that they don’t have a fitting room to try on clothes, or at least one that I could find. It’s a small place and I only encountered a bathroom and a stocking section while exploring the shop. Maybe the bathroom was actually a fitting room? It was kind of blocked off so I assumed it was a bathroom. I would’ve asked if there was a place to try on clothing, considering all sales are final, but I was certain everything I picked would fit me. Next time I will confirm this! The clothing selection was decent, I was able to find a few things at $ 4 a piece(one of them being a cute Lucky brand lacy cardigan). Other things with discount tags are cheaper. The shoes were ok but on the pricier side, lots of heels to choose from and lots of dress shoes for men. I was surprised to see the DVD section had some pretty legit/popular movies from recent years(ie: Closer) so if you have a favorite and looking for it on the cheap, you might actually find it here. Couldn’t find one thing of interest in the CD section, but there are some interesting book finds here. Overall I will return and am pleased that there is once again a St. Vincent de Paul thrift store in Chula Vista.
