First time here from being referred by a coworker. They are very friendly and inviting. Although I had to have some cleaning that I haven’t had before during my dentist visit, the overall experience was great. Marla (I hope I got her name right) was so nice. She Didn’t ask questions when you had to answer with tools and water in my mouth!
I did get lost though. I’m new in town and they mentioned they’re in the same shopping center as Sprouts. I didn’t know the cream colored building on the other side of sprouts parking lot was actually where I was supposed to be. I was literally parked by sprouts looking at another dental office that I thought was where I was supposed to be. But eventually found it. Beautiful waiting room. Quiet, cozy, and inviting.

This review is mainly for Nicky/​Nikki, Dr Littlefield’s dental hygienist. I was so anxious coming to Dr Littlefield’s office for the first time to have my teeth cleaned because (1) Nicky is new to me and (2) I don’t know her. I trusted and loved my previous hygienist so much, but sadly I have to leave the dentist’s office where she works at. She was so good that no one can beat her dental hygiene skills – or so I thought. Nicky is way better than my previous hygienist. Her hands are light and it doesn’t hurt when she cleans your entire oral cavity. She takes her time and is very meticulous. I also watched her exceptional clean/​aseptic/​sterile techniques. I like that! She is very informative and even taught me hygiene techniques that no one else has ever told me before. She made me feel at ease. The entire treatment was relaxing, you would feel like purring afterwards.
With regard to Dr Littlefield, I just had a consult with him and we won’t begin treatment until mid-​April so I don’t know yet what his skills are like. So far, I didn’t feel rushed when he examined my mouth. He really took the time to listen to all my concerns even though it was a very busy day for him. His chair-​side manners are A+.

Dr. Littlefield is really nice and has the most awesome staff. The hygienist named Nikki is soo gentle, precise, and informative. The dental office manager provides an outstanding level of customer service and is reasonable with pricing and negotiating. The dental office has a very professional and clean atmosphere from the point of entry and upon seating on the dental chair. The equipments and technology used at the dental clinic are very modern. Highly recommended for PPO clients.

Dr. Littlefield takes complaints seriously and he acts swifty to correct situations. He is an amazing dentist that does not take advantage of his patients. He always looks to save his patients money and does excellent work. My entire family goes here, we drive out of our way from Lakeside to continue seeing him and his team.

Moved out of the area four years ago but I still commute down here twice a year for my cleanings. Love this place.

Past experience with other (bad) dentists made me apprehensive of seeing a dentist for years, until I found Dr. Littlefield. So pleasant was his staff and very gentle was his and his staff’s care and bed-​side manner with patients. The initial paperwork and explanation of insurance coverage was easy, and the hygienic cleaning was surprisingly gentle but thorough. The super clean environment, fresh flowers in every dental exam stall, and bottled water were subtle but important details that boosted my overall experience. I so appreciate dentists who go to great lengths to make sure their patients are comfortable and relaxed!

New to the area and went here for a cleaning. When I declined x-​rays they refused to clean my teeth and asked me to leave. We are military and have lived all over, I have been to many different dentist and never been refused a cleaning for declining an x-​ray. Guess it’s all about the money to some people. The receptionist was quite rude about it. Two thumbs down.

What a wonderful dentist and staff! After going to another dentist and being told that I had 4 cavities, needed a root canal, deep cleaning and crown replaced, I decided to get a 2^nd opinion. Thank goodness for Dr. Littlefield! My cleaning was great, xrays were quick and less painful than I’m used to and he confirmed what I suspected, that I didn’t have any cavities, my crown is fine and a root canal is my only necessity.
I highly recommend this office. Very kind and professional.

Everyone in Dr. Littlefield’s office was super nice, including all of the staff. The office was clean and easy to get to. They are conveniently open on Saturdays which fit in with my busy schedule. My only issues are — They didn’t let me know they didn’t accept my insurance (and it’s my fault I didn’t check to see if they were an approved provider) and sometimes when I have called during business hours, I get the «we are closed» message. So, great dentist, great office, but I can never go back because my insurance doesn’t cover it. What a bummer.

I love Dr. Littlefield. Unfortunately, because most of my time there is spent with the hygienists and receptionist/​billing person, I have to right a poor review for them. There was one specific hygienist both my husband and I liked but he left the company. We specifically requested to not be cleaned/​seen by the next hygienist they assigned to us but 3 times they scheduled us with her after the request. She was very rough and insensitive to the pain she was causing. If our requests to be seen by any of the other hygienists were honored, we would have stuck with Dr. Littlefield. I’m sorry Dr. Littlefield, as much as I love you, I wish you had more hygienists that are not so rough.

Dr. Littlefield has been my dentist for the past decade. He is by far the best dentist ever to work on my teeth. Even though I have to drive 20 minutes to his office, I am determined to stay with him until the day he retires because he and his staff are that awesome.
Once a year he’ll do the an oral cancer screening and measure the depth of your gums to check for gum disease. This is in addition to the typical x-​rays, teeth cleaning, and fluoride treatment you usually get from one of his dental hygienists. If you can, try to get Marla. She has the best technique and the most experience, but any of them are great.
He’s really good about explaining the procedures he’s doing or recommending, without being pushy. If it’s simple enough, like a cavity filling, they can take care of it right then and there.
Add fabulous work to great patient rapport and quick billing resolution (they’ll file the insurance claims for you, as a courtesy) and you have yourselves a winner.

Great Dentist and wonderful friendly helpful staff. The place is immaculate. They explain everything up front and no hidden fees. They go out of your way to make sure you are comfortable.
I recommend him highly. I went from another great dentist in La Mesa to Dr. Littlefield because the location is way more convenient. I live in the Eastlake area so it made sense to go to Dr.Littlefield.
