Children of Life Academy

I almost don’t want to write a review because I want to keep this place all to myself. My three year old had never been in daycare or anywhere but home with me. My daughter is also speech delayed, this made finding a preschool stressful for me. I had went to visit a place across the street from COLA and was almost in tears when I saw they’re sign. I called immediately and spent the next 30 minutes on the phone with Ms. Barbara explaining my concerns and what I was looking for. She immediately put my mind at ease letting me know my daughter would be in great hands and loved dearly as well as be socialized and educated. I toured the next day and was sure this was the perfect fit!
The first couple weeks were a transition for my daughter and I often had to leave her crying. They would tell me she’d be fine and send me text messages with pictures later showing her smiling having s great time. She has now been there six months and is talking more and loving her school. They have great class sizes and the best staff. I honestly can’t say enough good things. Oh and they have discounts for Military and Police you can’t beat that. If your curious just go visit you’ll be wowed!

5 stars is just not enough for this school. I actually tried to figure out a way to add more stars. Since my daughter has been going to this school she has progressed in all subject areas. This school has provided her with all the skills needed in order to move on to kindergarten next year. In fact she has also learned Spanish as a second language as well. The school is very clean, the staff are very professional, and I can’t think of a better school for my next child to attend. I really appreciate everything this school has done and I know my daughter is well prepared for kindergarten. I have and I will continue to recommend this school to everyone I know!

My son has been attending here since March 2014, and it’s amazing the kids he is becoming. Definitely has a good day every time, and is learning a lot! My son only does 3 full days per week, and they are so awesome with flexibility, should I need to change days for the week. I love the staff! They are all personable and definitely love what they do! I am so glad that I took the chance and checked out the school that I saw out of the corner of my eye, after having visited roughly 4 preschools that day. I will be saddened when my son has to start kinder this July, and we will have to do the elementary school. Yes, it is a new adventure moving to the next level, but I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing my son grow with this school, and love the staff.

My child has attended Children of Life Academy for 6 months. When looking for a school I was focus on more the cleanliness and staffing. I wanted a school that was academic based and geared to getting my child ready for kindergarten. I was pleased to find everything I needed in this school. My child is happy to go to school and it is very evident that the teachers are happy to be there too. My child’s teacher keeps me up to date on all my child’s needs. from clean cloths to school events. I am more then blessed to have found such a loving place for my child to learn and grow.

Children of Life Acamdemy is a great preschool ! Staff provide children with a safe learning environment and respect the developmental stages of each individual child ! The classrooms are inviting and the structure within lesson plans and monthly activities ensure the positive growth for all children! My children enjoy coming to school and I love how respectable the staff is towards all families! We love Children of Life Academy ! The amazing staff and Director ensure that every child will have a positive learning experience thoughout their preschool years here at CoLA.

This school rocks! Both my children went here and loved their program. The thing that sets this place apart is the staff. No matter who my children encountered they were phenomenal. When (sadly) they left this school for kindergarten they were both ready to excel in school and that solid foundation continues to pay off. Well worth the extra penny! I would recommend to anyone looking to give their kids the extra edge in life. Very safe, clean, fun place !

If I had the opportunity to give more than five stars, I would. Over the past eight months, Children of Life Academy has provided a safe, loving, healthy and structured environment that has allowed my son to thrive and flourish.
I’m astonished at how advanced my son is. At 4, he is in the early stages of learning to read, knows how to add 1+, 2+ and 3+ all the way up through 20, has neat legible writing and to top it off comes home telling me about the lessons he learns about God. None of these amazing things could be possible if it wasn’t for the wonderful leadership of Ms. Barbara and her equally wonderful staff.
Every month, parents are given a hard copy of the upcoming events/​closures. In addition are also given a calendar of what home cooked meals are given to the children, snacks included. If for whatever reason I misplace the monthly newsletter, a sign is posted on the door with information, there is a bulletin board immediately upon entry, reminders in each of the children’s sign in/​out sheet and if that wasn’t enough, the information is listed on the patent’s website. Communication is one of the top priorities of the school and do an excellent job of doing so.
The review from another user saying that information is not posted is completely FALSE and is a sad attempt at attacking a very professional and well run business, where the children are happy, thriving and well taken care of. Additionally, as a divorced parent myself, the school goes to EXTRA lengths to ensure that both myself and my sons father receive the same information by doing two sets/​packets of everything. This is something that is not required however they choose to do so in efforts to provide the best customer service.
The bottom line is that choosing to send your child to Children of Life Academy will be one of the BEST things you can do for your child. I would highly recommend this to any and everyone. My first and foremost priority is my son. At Children of Life Academy, they share the same philosophy with all of their students. The children and their best interests always comes first.
You will not be disappointed sending your child here. I promise! :)

This place is an awesome and safe environment for our children. Ms. Barbara and all of her staff welcome them with open arms every day and treat them with the utmost respect. We’ve never missed an announcement as they mark the trail from the front door to the signout clipboard. To further remind us of events, the monthly newsletter comes to us in both email and hardcopy format. Detailed activities are also documented online via the school’s private portal where access is easily granted.

The schools calendar is not updated daily, weekly or even monthly. The calendar shows school is closed when in fact it is open. The staff does not handle divorce parents equally nor in a professional manner.
When you call the school you only get a recorded messaage.

Wonderful Place. Everyones very friendly and they make you feel welcome. 3 years old here are writing their name without tracing. Affordable and they give military and law enforcement discounts. Kinder-​care across the streets double in price.
