Been by here just a couple times…
Lots of flavors to choose from… You can also get sundaes, Ice cream sandwiches, shakes, and smoothies.
Currently here on a Thursday evening after 9pm and there’s been a steady flow of customers.
The kids working have been friendly and helpful with offering samples and taking our orders.
It’s small, a row of small tables along the wall and a couple tables outside. It’s clean.
This time around, I ordered a scoop of Snickers, bits of the candy bar and thick swirls of caramel. This ice cream (and the rest of their ice cream in general) is pretty sweet. Super duper sweet. Their kid scoop probably would’ve been enough for me…
I ordered an ice cream cake from here a few months ago. One of the «ready to go» cakes in the freezer. I wasn’t a huge fan of it at all. As a kid, my parents always ordered ice cream cakes from Dairy Queen., my childhood memories tell me DQs cakes are 10x better…

Nice little place to get some decent ice cream. The place is nice and clean. A few tables inside. The staff was friendly. Prices are good. We I’ll return for sure!

GARY! He was incredibly helpful and so patient with me! He helped me create an amazing cake for Valentine’s Day and when I came to pick it up the women in the front were so nice and understanding when I had to have my dog with me because it was too hot in my car! Will definitely be purchasing more cakes from Gary & BR!

DO NOT ORDER A CAKE HERE! My family has ordered a cake at this location twice and they keep misspelling the names wrong! First time a female worker acted like she knew how to spell my son’s name and I told her that’s spelled a certain way and offered to write it down so I told her and 2 minutes later she comes out with the cake and the name was spelled wrong. Second time my husband ordered a cake and they misspelled the name. There’s a bunch of high school kids that are taking the orders and decorating the cakes and can’t actually read through what the customer is writing down or listen to directions. It’s a waste of time to order anything here, if you’re here to just get a scoop of ice cream it’s okay, but any type of actual direction, listening and processing an order at this location the employees cannot fathom. Hopefully the owner or manager of this franchise will actually read these reviews and take this into some sort of consideration to run their business better. Hopefully.

Went here to get an ice cream cake for my wife’s birthday. The owner, I think his name was Gary, came over to help make the right selection. He was extremely nice and went above and beyond to assist me. He even added a cookie with my wife’s name on it that I wasn’t expecting. Great place.

We’ve been coming here for the last 2 years and I guess we’ve been lucky enough to not have the bad experiences the last several Unilocalers had. Everyone has always been cheerful and helpful. Can’t beat good ice cream!

PLEASE educate your staff that infection control and cleanliness is paramount to a food service.
I was a customer on Friday, May 15, 2015 at approx. 8:45 PM. There were three employees. After we were served, two began eating ice cream while standing next to the ice cream coolers (who does this?!) and then proceeded to NOT wash hands (huge mistake) before scraping the bottoms of an ice cream tub onto the tops of a new ice cream tub that had been placed in the cooler… then cut bananas for a banana split when NO customers besides us were in the store (I can only imagine employees were going to eat that next).
Though the store looked clean, this was disgusting. I’m sure they know to eat out of customer sight in the back and always wash hands for a multitude of reasons, but tonight, I personally witnessed this not happening.

Seriously… Who is hiring these employees… I’ve read the past reviews and there’s always a complaint about the employees attitudes.
— I walk in and start to scan the flavors. Then an employee (Kristie) just walks up to the counter and doesn’t say a word. Just waits for me. No greeting no smile just gives me a mean look. Seriously like wtf did I do. I wanted to order something new but I ended up just keeping it simple because the employee looked like she hates life. After I tell her what I want she tells the other employee there to get her another tub of the flavor. As we’re waiting she’s starts to play with the cone like its a toy… Wtf I’m about to eat that doesn’t she know? When I pay she just says my total, takes my card, and hands me the receipt. No words spoken. If I’m ever craving bitch flavor ice cream I know where to go. Which is never, bye you lost this customer forever!

Worst Baskin Robbins experience ever!
This location was jam-​packed for the $ 1.31/scoop deal and half of the workers weren’t even smiling. It was as if they were annoyed and wanted their shift to be over.
The old White guy at the cash register was completely ridiculous. He kept chatting it up with some other customers after they were done paying while there was a long line of customers waiting. Not only did he have that unnecessary conversation with those customers, he did not even apologize for having us wait. If he’s the owner, then he needs to learn how to do his business better! If he’s just an employee, he needs to get re-​trained on how to do his job on a busy night! Regardless, he needs to brush up on «Manners 101» because nothing along the lines of «sorry, thank you for waiting» was said.

What’s there to say about the 31 flavors offered by this national brand? Not much. Ice cream is ice cream. If you don’t like 1 thing, try another. If you don’t want ice cream, have a milkshake. And if you’re lactose intolerant, what are you doing with your life? Get out of here!
As for this particular location, it’s okay? Small area. Staff could be nicer. These kids make it obvious they don’t want to work the closing shift. Besides that, clean place. Good options. Nice location in the Eastlake shopping center across from Target in Chula Vista.
Walk in. Treat yourself. Enjoy.

Gosh I’m obsessed. I love this place and I love ice cream. We come here when we get a coupon. I love that they allow you to sample flavors and that they have a new flavor every month! February’s flavor was amazing. The people who work here are really nice as well and the majority are generous scoopers. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a sweet outing.

Still my fav ice cream place & now my fav location for ice cream & fav Baskin Robbins. My kids & a lot of people love NuYo or Cold Stone or other places but not me. I like keeping it Old School & just get some good Ol Baskin Robbins & a Chocolate Chip Sugar cone baby! Frozen Yogurt from Nuyo? Nah, that’s too healthy for me, just give me some real ice cream man! And the Ice Cream Cakes here are on point! And I like buying the little buckets of Chocolate Chip they sell to take home. Yeah it’s a little pricey (I remember it being cheaper) but hey it’s worth it.
I’m glad I found this location cuz a lot of Baskin Robbins have gone under & the ones left are pretty gettho but not this one. This one is real chill & nice & they got seats & tables to eat outside on sunny days. The times I’ve been here the customer service has been good & friendly. The kids working here are always nice, Ice cream with a smile what else can you ask for! (Well they can turn down the heater down a little inside it can be stuffy inside at times).
I mainly come here at night by myself right before I go to the gym so that way I can burn it off right away & I won’t feel guilty for eating great ice cream. An extra 5 min on the bike at the gym will make my guiltiness go away. I will continue to come back with or without my kids & if my kids come they know I don’t share my icecream. Baskin Robbins Double Scoop Chocolate Chip Ice cream on a sugar come over frozen yogurt from Nuyo any day!

It’s a nice little place to get some cheap, tasty ice cream. Adequate service provided by friendly staff. There’s a bathroom!
I got a medium malted milkshake with strawberry and cheesecake ice cream. You should also get that! Or, any of the other many flavors.

God help me I love this place. Ever since I was a kid I’ve had a thing for Baskin Robbins. I have to be honest though, I only come here if I find a buy one get one free coupon in my junk mail because it is expensive. The staff is always friendly and out of all the times I’ve been I’ve only had one bad scooper that gipped me by giving me a miniscule scoop. The reason I’m only giving it ⁴⁄₅ is because they raised their prices again because the price of milk went up. There’s nothing wrong with that. The issue lies in that the price I was charged did not reflect what was on the board. Anyway, I do enjoy my jamocha almond fudge and I will continue coming here with pleasure… and a coupon.

Great ice cream, great service but please put up some tint or blinds to block out the sun! The poor workers as well as the customers are facing the windows with the sun coming right through and nothing to block it! I like to come here often but not when I’m feeling like I’m in an oven going into an ice cream store. Please fix the problem if you want happy customers.

Had an issue when I ordered a cake. Ordered and paid for a big ass cake that wont fit in my freezer. Had to postpone pick up to a later date because kid got sick, party cancelled. Sales associated assured me I was good to go, and just call back later when I need to it made. Cake was made anyway (their mess up) and a rude chick hit me up, asking me if I was gonna pick up the cake a week AFTER it was originally supposed to be picked up. She told me because it’s frozen, the cake can last a while, but from personal experience after some time in the freezer that whipped topping part gets all hard n nasty and the cake itself doesn’t taste as great. So I wanted a fresh cake for my god daughter! I emailed the owner, pissed as hell, and he was great at calling me back and addressing the issue. He went into this spiel how he wants his store to be a location known not just for ice cream, but a go to spot in ordering cakes for special occasions and that he hired one of the BEST decorators. I appreciate his efforts in resolving my problem and calling me back and felt a little better in his vision, as a lot of the BR locations in the South Bay closed over the years (3^rd Ave, East H, and IB) so we needed another option in the area.
A month after speaking to him, party was back in action and re-​ordered the cake. We weren’t impressed. It was a little lopsided in more ways than one. Also, I came to think that maybe they ended up using the cake I originally ordered in the first place because I kinda changed my specifications on how I wanted it decorated from my original order and even submitted a picture this time around, but the cake I got matched exactly what my original order form said. I spoke to the decorator herself the day of pick up and I tried to be super easy and appreciative when I talked to her and said I trusted her, but that was my mistake. After realizing that and seeing a lopsided cake from «One of the BEST cake decorators ever», left me super disappointed.
Ice cream cakes are always a winner at my family functions, and BR’s ice cream cakes just taste better than other stores in my opinion. If there’s an instance where I HAVE to go to this location to pick up a ready-​made cake because the convenience of it, then I will. Ordering a custom made cake, never again. (Go to BONITA’S LOCATION!) I, do, however appreciate his promptness in returning my call and trying to resolve the issue, though. Thanks, Mr. Yarbrough.

The ice cream was really good but what made my experience really sour was that my mom dropped her ice cream cause the lady did not put it right and she was extremely rude about it and i think people like her should not work at a place like this. Fire her

This place is horrible. 2 people taking forever to make shakes. While there’s a long line waiting. To top it off you have one of the workers look at the long like and make herself a ice cream and walk to the back. One person should’ve made the shakes while the other person helped the line.

I never really would go to Baskin Robbins, but once this location opened, I started going quite often. I’ve had everything from a cone, to a sundae, and even a shake. The shake reminds me of a McDonald’s McFlurry… But they’re both enjoyable. I’ve grown to really like this location, whereas when I was in high school, I’d choose Cold Stone Creamery. I think the workers take credit as to why I like BR (this one, notably). It’s a clean establish and I like the design of the walls.

Honestly when you go out to get ice cream, it’s supposed to be a great experience. But the girl that was working on Saturday night was extremely rude! I don’t know what might of crawled up her butt but she really was mad about something. I definitely think Baskin Robbins should let her go, to protect there reputation.

There was one worker on an extremely busy Friday night and the place is tiny so it’s crowded. My children were trying to sit at a table and enjoy themselves but it was just to packed. It also is very expensive for a very small portion, we will stick to toll house or go for froyo next time

Been here three times now and had a great experience each time… Kind staff and welcoming! Obviously the product is delicious! ;)

Gawd when did the portion sizes shrink! The scoops weren’t even full sized scoops. For the amount of money that I paid, you would think that a Banana Royal would be totally loaded. But, it definitely wasn’t the Banana Royal from my childhood memories. Sadly disappointed.
This Baskin Robbins is definitely a clean place and it does get crowded. But, I don’t think it’s worth the money. After spending $ 18 for three items, I would probably have been better off going to Rite Aid and buying a box of cones and a couple of tubs of Pecan Praline.

I walked in and asked about the décor and it’s a new modern look and feel. They said they are one of first Baskin Robbins to be modeled this way. I LOVE ROCKY ROAD ICE CREAM!
The staff was super friendly and new since they only opened a few weeks ago. The manager name was Maria and she was very friendly and seems to know everything about ice cream lol. It’s a very clean place, which is nice when eating out at any place.
I read the previous review and I wondered how he could have reviewed this Baskin Robbins because it was still under construction when he posted his review. I know I work in the area. I have been waiting for it to open. Even if he went on opening day… it kinda sucks that he would blast them on day 1 with a 2 star review and not give them at least a month to get into the groove. In my opinion it seems like way too harsh, but its probably a fake review from a competitor.
They have my vote, awesome clean and fun place to have some after dinner dessert!
