Visiting Angels is America’s Choice in Home Care. We provide in-home, private duty care to seniors and adults over the age of 18. We offer up to 24 hour care, Part-Time & Full-Time Care, Meal Preparation, Housekeeping, Errands and Shooping, Personal Care, Joyful Companionship, Hospice Support, or Respite for Familes. Our caregivers have experience caring for patients with Alzheimer’s or Dementia and we offer Stroke or Surgery Rehabilitation. The care can range from Temporary to Long Term Care. History
Established in 2010.
In the 1980’s Jeffrey Johnson was employed as Director of Social Work in a nursing home in the Baltimore, Maryland area. He listened as families of clients often expressed frustration that they had few alternatives other than to place their loved ones in the nursing facility. Before long, Jeffrey resolved to establish his own business to provide care for homebound senior citizens.
In the summer of 1991, Jeffrey resigned from his position with the nursing home and started a private duty non-medical home care agency called «The Senior Care Group, Inc.» in Baltimore. Now in its second decade, the agency that Jeffrey established has serviced great numbers of clients and has established an excellent reputation in the Baltimore, MD area.
In 1998, Jeffrey joined with three other directors (including two with extensive experience operating their own private duty non-medical home care agencies) to establish Visiting Angels as a nationwide network of home care agencies.
