Fraudent business!!!- they rented me an RV that had expired reg tags from Nov 2014! as well as over $ 500 of fines and other violations– this RV could not be legally driven — they completely ignored all our phone calls and emails yet charged us anyway. The RV was dirty and mechanically not roadworthy– I had no choice but to take it to my mechanic. The generator leaked and broke down, the fridge did not get cold for 3 days. All windows were cracked and vents would not close so the whole of the inside was a mess of dust and dirt after the 2^nd day. The mattress on the queen size bed was disgusting– filthy dirty and a health hazard. This is not a legit business– they buy these run down RVs from another dealer and just run them into the ground renting them out and not servicing or cleaning them properly. Don’t take notice of any good reviews they are definitely fake. They also wanted me to drop off the RV at a FedEx parking lot because the police were waiting at the lot to impound this vehicle– a bunch of crooks that should be out of business asap!!!

We reserved in FEb for a trip in August and was charged $ 592.62. as a deposit. Well within their cancellation time frame we emailed, called and tried to cancel. The only time I got Jill to answer the phone she was curt and stated they would get to it this week. Thatt was a month ago. They owe us $ 592– $ 40 cancellation charge and have been avoiding all contact with them, never answer their phone, do no respond to emails. If this is the custormer servcie I am so glad that we did not go through with our trip! Even their foreman CLyde cant find them! STAY AWAY!!! My next step is small claims courtwhen ifigure out their lsat names and ficticious business license. Willl keep you posted, and tips or prior experience would be appreciated on getting your deposit

Our Experience — Terrible, Unethical, and we think they are Thieves and Criminals — STAY AWAY!!! they brought us a rental rv that was in ridiculously horrible condition. We turned it down, and they charged our credit card anyway for not only the deposit but for many days of rental too. We could make this a long drawn out review with all the details, but the bottom line is THEY ARE HORRIBLE. If we had the energy, we would get the authorities involved.
If we could give it zero stars we would. Rated 1 star because we had to press some number.

Followup from my last review (which is now filtered out for some reason); my experience with this business was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a business.
The owner blamed many of the problems I experienced on a head trauma event he experienced. It sickens me when I think of some of the things he put my family through and I truly believe he knew and simply didn’t care.
Stay away from this business. I wish I’d read others reviews of this business before i rented from them. It was my first RV rental experience. There are many reputable RV rental businesses out there, so keep looking.

Do NOT rent ANYTHING from these people! After planning a trip on a holiday weekend, we picked up our rental, planning to leave early in the afternoon, only to discover the running lights were not working. After several hours of trying to fix the problem, we had to call someone out to fix the problem. The 800 number they provided was bogus. They’re no longer associated with Gary, or his business. After several attempts to get Gary on the phone, I went to his storage yard, only to find the front door locked! Shady shady people. And isn’t that illegal? Someone came and let me in, and I was only able to leave a message for Gary to call me… Of course!!! Our plan now is to see him in court. Maybe a judge will make him do what he should have done in the first place!

We rented their last untit available on a holiday wknd. The owner, Gary wS very nice and gave us a discount just to get it rented. When we picked it up Antonio assured us that everything was in working order. Come to find out none of the lights on the back of the motor home or trailer worked. How is that safe? Or ok? So we tried. Contacting Antonio as he gave us his phone number in case we had any questions we tried to call him and text message him several times with no response. So we contacted the roadside assistance on the rental agreement and gave them the membership number and the company said that they were no longer affiliated with OCRV. Are you kidding?! I had to pay someone to come out and fix the trailer lights which resulted in us leaving 6 ½ hours after our planned departure. We didn’t get to our destination until 2:30am. Rest of the weekend was enjoyable but some things didn’t work on the moror home. It was ghetto to say the least. When we return from the weekend we brought back the unit and told him everything that happened. For 4 days after the owner claimed he didn’t have time to call me because he was building an online website for a new business he was starting… Um I don’t care! I rented from your current business! Needless to say I’ll never rent from them again. Ridiculous. I’m a business owner and this person does not know what they’re doing.

This place sucks. Big TIME. We rented from them for the New Years weekend (the 18′ Salem). Our trailer checked out fine but when we got to the campsite, our heater went out. So somewhere along the road, something happened. We called OCRV to inform them of the situation and they eventually called us back later that day. They said there wasn’t much they could do other than work out some sort of deal for us.
Well, they didn’t. They charged us full price and never returned any of our calls or emails. Needless to say, it was the coldest 4 days Southern California experienced this winter and we were traveling with an infant who ended up getting sick. She had to get hospitalized. Thanks OCRV for really ‘working something out’. Talk about lack of business integrity. Plus your mattress sucked. Everything sucked. Do yourselves a favor and save yourself some money, hassle and hard feelings by not renting from this place.

Trip was great except a leaking water pipe. I’d give 4 or even 5 stars had they not charged my credit card 500 $ for no reason. Not renting again for this years trip. Not a bad guy tho

Our first time renting from OCRV, and probably the last. Our adventure started out well with OCRV, as I set up our reservation online (2005, Jamboree GT 31 ft rv) and had confirmation shortly after. The day prior to picking up the rv, I called to confirm a time and place, at which time I spoke to Gary (manager/​owner). He advised me the rv was having issues with the generator and was being serviced, but he would return my call with more details. I did not receive a call back.
The day of picking up the rv, I called again and was advised that the rv was still being serviced and should be ready about 11am, but Gary gave us a discount for the delay and extended the miles we were allowed for our trip. I was pleasantly surprised and though this was going to be a great experience and would probably be a returning customer.
I arrived shortly before 11am and the rv was still being serviced. The repair guys (Antonio) was reassuring, and said everything was going to be ok. He quickly fixed the side door which was missing the lock and showed me around the vehicle. After completing the paperwork and an inspection of the vehicle, I was off to the house to get it packed.
At home began packing, and then it began. At least half of the latches for the storage beneath the rv were either broken or missing, which rendered the compartments useless. Not a big deal, except we had to put most of our supplies inside the rv. I could deal with that. We got on the road and the vehicle served it’s purpose. We made it to our campsite and set up. Some other minor issues were noticed, like the large stain of an unknown brown substance on the window shade, most of the surfaces within the vehicle were dusty, the carpet was stained, lack of operation cruise control, broken air vent on the top of the vehicle and a missing medicine cabinet latch (which allowed the door to flap constantly throughout our drive). The vehicle set up with ease, the slide went out without a problem, the stove cook our dinner, I turned on the water heater and we even had hot water, then we settled in for the night.
At approximately 2am the first night, I woke up to a burning smell. I search high and low through the vehicle trying to determine where the smell was coming from and how much trouble we could be in. I couldn’t figure out what the problem was, so I turned off all the electrical buttons in the vehicle. We didn’t get much more sleep that night in fear the vehicle was going to burst into flames and we would be able to get our children (1 and 3 yrs old) out of the vehicle fast enough. We have all heard the tragic stories of families burning in a vehicle, many times due to electrical issues.
The next morning, my search for the item burning continued until I arrived to the water heater access panel. I observed black soot on the outside of the panel. As I open the panel I observed a mess of wires the had been taped together with electrical tape and had melted sometime during the night. I am glad that I turned off the water heater as it may have caught fire and our young children may have been trapped inside. Needless to say we used the campsite bathroom for the remainder of the stay.
Overall the vehicle served it’s purpose. We had a good camping experience. Some of the minor details may have been overlooked, as we realized this was a rental vehicle. But when it comes to the safety of your customers, and their family, there is no excuse for issues such as we experienced. Looking back should have tried to get another vehicle, but probably near impossible at that point.
When I contacted Gary (owner of OCRV) and expressed my concern for the vehicle being rented to customers in the condition it was in, there seemed to be a lack of concern for the matter. Gar advised me that he was replacing all of the vehicles in his fleet at later in the year and was did not seem to be interested in repairing the current vehicles. I advised Gary that this vehicle should not be rented out in this condition and he advised me to make a list of the issues I had and he would work with me.

Here’s a recent experience I had with OCRV.
Having researched a variety of RV rental businesses in the area in preparation for a family RV trip, I decided to move forward with OCRV. Everything online looked good, but I wanted to speak with someone to go over some details. I spoke with Gary, the owner, and he was helpful on the phone. But before I reserved the RV I wanted to just see it, so I asked if I could meet him — when he was available — to have a look. We agreed on Saturday at 11.
Naturally my wife wanted to come have a look, so she and my one-​year-​old daughter and I all piled into the car on Saturday morning, driving from our home in Mission Viejo out to Anaheim, to meet Gary at his RV storage facility, which is right by Angel Stadium. So we show up at 11 and no Gary. The woman at the front desk said we could speak with one of Gary’s employees when he’s available. So we wait… and wait.
When Gary’s employee eventually turns up, he says that all of the RVs are checked out so there’s nothing for us to see. That’s when I got on the phone to talk to Gary.
Gary then explains that the RV had recently been rented and that he didn’t have my number to let me know, and passes this off as if this is my fault.
Here’s a tip Gary: When you agree to meet a customer at a designated time and place, you take down their number just in case something comes up and you need to cancel. It’s called «consideration.» But you’re an amateur.
At least I figured out OCRV on the front end before I wrote a check, and for that I’m grateful. If you choose to do business with this bozo, you might not be as fortunate.

We’ve rented from these guys for over five years now for our yearly work trip. I’ve read some of these other reviews and either we’ve been lucky (all five years) or these people lack any sort of self reliance.
Gary and team have been great about getting the RV’s prepped and cleaned for us afterwards. If we have a special favor or request they usually accommodate without throwing the book in our face. Whenever a problem has occurred they immediately sent a guy to fix the problem no matter where we were.
We’ve rented from all sorts of RV lots. MOST try to make money after the fact by claiming you broke five or six things that were already broken. This place DOES NOT do that I promise.
We are big fans and we’ll continue to rent from these guys. (OCRV)

I have rented from 3 different rv places in the past until I stubbled upon OCRV. This was the second trailer I have rented from them. I have also rented an RV from them as well. The main reason I chose them is the fact that their rates are cheap and their fleet is as nice or nicer than the other local places I have rented from. The staff is very knowledgeable and I have yet to have a problem from the RV’s or trailers I have rented from them. I had a small issue with the trailer hitch but they compensated me for the hour wait I had in picking it up.
Shop around and you will see their prices and features of their fleet are better than the rest.
I rented a 27″ trailer this last time around and while it had its typical dings in it, the trailer was perfect. It sleeps a ton of people comfortable and had a slide out which made it roomy. The unit was fairly well cleaned, the exception being the pull out bed.
The trailer I had was exactly what I needed: plenty of sleeping space for kids, large dinnet table„ flat screen TV w/​DVD, and a sweet indoor/​outdoor sterio system which we used most of the time we were camping. Another great experience from OCRV.

I have never rented from OCRV, but I did use them from March 2009 to December 2010 to manage my property, a 2007 Airstream Safari SE (worth over $ 65,000). DO NOT USE OCRV AS A PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY. During that time, they rented out the trailer and did not recoup money for damages and losses incurred. They then ensued to not fix the trailer (always saying «parts were on order») for over six months. They also stored the trailer in a facility that could not be entered by myself or any other person with property managed by OCRV. In doing so, they evaded our requests to view our own property for over a year and a half (always saying, «it’s being rented» when this contradicted the statements/​payments received at the end of the month). When we finally got our trailer back, it was it an awful state with over $ 5000 worth of damage.
Please, do yourself a favor: Do not use OCRV as a property management company. If I had it my way, I would not even rent from them. They may even be renting out the vessels without paying their clients who own them what is due. If you or someone you know is a client of OCRV and has been/​is being mistreated, please contact the BBB and report it immediately. This will alert the proper authorities and allow an investigation to take place.

I rented a 34′ class C for 2 weeks this summer from these guys. What a killer trip, 2900 miles to Yellowstone and back to LA. OC RV guys were really frustrating as far as communication and lack of professionalism. It was a very nice coach compared to cruiseamerica cheesemobiles. My biggest problem is after i returned it. I still have not gotten an explanation as to why I was charged $ 450 more than I was quoted. I was not over mileage, I did owe them some gas (not $ 450 worth), but I did bring it back 2 days early. I have called no less than 4 times and sent 4 emails. The guy that answers the phone doesn’t have the answers, and the guy that has the answers obviously could care less about his customers.

So we just got back from a short RV trip to Doheny Beach literally 25 minutes away.
Cause the economy is really tough right now, so we looked around for deals. Emailed and called a bunch of places. Gary from OCRV was the most helpful and non pressuring rep so of course we went with him. No hidden fees. We just paid extra for the tank cleaning, which was well worth it.
