Dazzling Nails

First time my gel polish chipped in 4 days. Second time 3 days in and the gel polish (a very light color) is discolored at the ends and my nails look just gross and dirty. At day 5 they are chipping. They looked gross so I just clipped them short. Ugh my search continues…

I got my nails done today at Dazzling Nails and they turned out fantastic! Thank you so much for fitting me in this week. I am definitely coming back! I got the puzzle pieces on my nails for the little girl that is trying to get a therapy dog. Autism is also near and dear to my heart because my son has autism! Good luck with the charity!

The pedicure was awesome and the staff is very friendly! However, the gel polish on mine and my friends nails started chipping after 4 days when usually it lasts a few weeks! Paid extra for the gel polish when the regular polish would have lasted longer!

Tried this place out with a friend based on all the good reviews. Really friend staff however the quality of our gel polish was disappointing. Both of our gel nails started chipping within days when regularly it lasts about 2 weeks.

I got my nails done by Lisa and she’s so nice! she gave me exactly what I wanted and I’m so in love with my Valentine’s Day nails if you go to dazzling definitely go to Lisa she will not disappoint!

Beautiful work got a full set they look gorgeous. As someone who chews there nails down to nothing they made them look beautiful!!! And such a great price point!

Josephine introduced me to my first set of «fake» gels (sculpted gel nails) and did a fabulous glitter/​leopard/​hot pink combo that looks great! She is so nice, very attentive, takes her time, asks you what you want, gives great suggestions, and charges reasonable prices. Her shop is cozy and intimate and it’s perfect for some quiet «Me Time»!

Just walked in at 4:50 on a Friday. No other customers there. She says, how can I help you? I ask for shellac to be removed and redone. She says, I’m sorry we’re closing in 5 minutes. I look twice at the sign which says 10 – 6 PM. NOT 5 PM. she has some excuse about her childcare ending. Sure I get that, but don’t advertise both online and on your door that you close at 6 if you really close at 5. No offer for a discount to come back or anything. Definitely won’t be going there again. Plenty of other nail salons in Chico. Besides it was disgustingly stinky in there. You’d probably develop cancer after your manicure.

I have been getting my nails done for 18 years in the bay area. When I came to chico I was reluctant to trusting anyone because I stopped getting my nails done because it was too painful. However I was referred by a coworker and she said «just trust me.» So I did:) I can’t be any happier and I can’t ever see myself going anywhere else. It’s painless! You pay for what you get, which is amazing quality. Liza the owner is kind, experienced, and definitely knows the most recent styles. She is awesome!

This place recently changed owners. This is my opinion in a nutshell:
1– There are two ladies working there. The owner and one another lady. They are both very friendly and have great customer service
2– Its overpriced. $ 37 for a gel manicure (I think this is the most expensive in Chico)
3– The owner knows how to do nails, the other lady is new and is still learning. She did my nails and five chipped or came off within three days. I called to get them fixed and the owner was very nice and understanding. She gave me a full gel manicure at no cost and now they look great.
4– Lisa is very talented at nail art

The only reason I went to this salon was the high reviews on Unilocal and I’ve never left a review on Unilocal before but I don’t want someone to make the same mistake I did! Number one all of the great reviews are for a nail technician that is no longer working there! Number two they have no idea how to do any designs or nail art at all I mean my niece could have done a better job and she wouldn’t have changed sixty bucks for a set of regular gel polish and a flower on two nails! Three it took them over two and a half hours to have my nails look like crap. Then when I tried to pay I had to leave to get change because they didn’t have it. Also the biggest pet peve I have is they didn’t do my gels right at all, there was bubbles and cracks and it was clumpy, it was a disaster! I felt so bad because the owners wife who is the one with the great reviews has breastcancer so I just didn’t say anything and left but I really do have to say something so other people don’t go thru what I did and have your nails completely distroyed. My nails were long and pretty and now there short and gross. I do feel really bad for the owner but I mean if you don’t no what your doing then maybe hire someone who does. My prayers go out to his wife.

My daughter and I were in from out of town and she HAD to get her nails fixed. We came in and Pete, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. He answered all our questions. My daughter wanted the half moon shape and decorative designs. He was detailed, and did a superior job! If we lived here this would be our nail place! !!

My appointment was time consuming for gels, but in the end the result was fabulous and they stayed in great shape for a really long time. Perhaps this is the length of time it’s supposed to take to do a good job and the other folks just rush you through?

I have been going to Dazzling Nails for over ten years now Josephine is amazing she does a outstanding job every time the prices are very reasonable and she always does a great job

I love Josephine! She did an incredible job on my nails! I brought in a Halloween design and she did it even better that the picture. She is friendly, professional and such an artist! My nails have no bumps or bubbles! She takes her time and and makes sure to get every nail perfect. I am definitely coming back soon! It is a bit pricey but worth the money.

I have been going here for about a year. I love Lisa, she is so creative. Anything you want she can do.

If you are looking for a nail salon that provides great service, creativity and a friendly atmosphere, then this is the place. Josephine is always up for the challenge of your very own nail art or has many interesting design ideas to share. I have been coming to Josephine for years and will never go anywhere else!

Love Lisa and Josefina! They do a great job and I always have great conversations with them. They are always so busy which can be a downside occasionally because they have to go faster on your nails in order to finish for the next person. Always call ahead and make an appointment. It is worth it!

Best nail place in Chico! The best part? She actually LISTENS to what you want! I’m very picky about my nails, so I’m looking for someone that will be just as picky, and efficient. She’ll get your nails done, how you want, in a short period of time. And she’s creative! Colors, glitter, shapes, etc. galore!
Highly highly recommend. One of the few things of Chico I will actually miss when I move after graduation.

I’m not surprised that Dazzling Nails has no reviews yet. Josephine is so wonderful that the entire shop drives itself via word of mouth.
If you are a guy and never had a manicure then you should genuinely consider the place. You won’t be made uncomfortable.
If you are a woman you will be thrilled with the quiet talent and artistry of the shop.
I’m certainly a fan.
