Cal Java offers a variety of food and drink items. Customers can choose from an assortment of coffees, specialty drinks, smoothies and teas as well as fresh baked pastries. In addition to these beverages and baked goods, Cal Java offers a wide selection made-​to-​order breakfast and lunch items including: breakfast burritos, sandwiches, salads, soups and quesadillas. Customers can also purchase Cal Java locally roasted and fair trade coffee beans to brew at home, as well as reusable cups and mugs that can be filled at discounted prices.

History

Established in 1995.

Cal Java Coffee Roasters are locally owned coffee shops in Chico, California. The locations are on Skyway in the Raleys shopping center, on The Esplanade next to Enloe Hospital, on W East Avenue in the Save Mart shopping center and on the corner of Mangrove and 9^th Ave. The Skyway store first opened in 1995 under the name Java Joes but in the summer of 2001 ownership changed, giving it the new name Cal Java. The Esplanade location opened in 1996 under the name Cal Java, where it continues to serve many hospital employees and patients as well as neighboring businesses and residences.
